Description of Work: Lots of issues. 1) when they tore out they ruined the sprinkler line and did not notify me. If I had not seen what they did I would have been in court. 2) I ask to be notified when pouring was to commence, no call and I happened to drive up before the 3rd truck arrived. Not good. Were they hiding something? 3) terrible float lines. I get comments all the time about how bad it looks. 4). They never returned or called to follow up. Not even to pick up material they left behind. BEWARE

We are so pleased with this company. They were a pleasure to do business all around. The job looks fantastic, and they got it done fast! I also cannot thank them enough for squeezing us in. When other companies were telling us we had to wait 4-6 weeks, they came out four days after I spoke with the salesman!

Very well. Estimate provided, no work performed.
Description of Work: No work performed, requested estimate. Representative arrived at the agreed to time, very professional, provided estimate for work requested. Did not have work done by any vendor.
The process was fast and easy and I can't wait to do my patio and walkway next year!!!
Description of Work: Before I installed the new cement for my driveway (this past summer), it was cracked and almost splitting apart. Now, I have a new one and it is absolutely beautiful and all reinforced so I know it will last a long time. Everyone was very nice and professional and I already have recommended this company to all of my friends!!!
Description of Work: I had my patio, 2 walkways, driveway, and porch installed a week ago and I absolutely love it!!! John, who is very kind and very knowledgeable, had shown me the colors he has available and it was very easy choosing them. I am also impressed on how the stained border on my patio came out with the nice designs on them. Everyone was very nice and professional and cleaned up after themselves. The administrative assistant was wonderful and pleasant to speak with over the phone as well. I would highly recommend this company to everyone!!!

During the scheduling process over the phone we were asked what type of work we are interested to get done. We described exactly what we wanted (as mentioned above). The date/time was then set for a person to come out and quote us. Needless to say, there was no quote. When the company came out, and after reviewing what we needed, we were told that the company will not do any work less than $3,000.00. The company representative told us that the work would not be worth it for them and if he went back with a quote he would be laughed at by and quot;Jonand quot; (presuming that Jon is his manager). This business should have properly used the information from my original screened call to let me know whether or not the job would be a and quot;profitableand quot; one for them. I was left with feeling like they thought I wasted their time, which in turn they definitely wasted mine. They could have just simply given me a quote, even if it was out of price reach, just to justify my time and theirs. My future plans for expanding my patio and backyard will far exceed $3,000.00. Unfortunately for Biondo Cement Co Inc., they will not have an option to quote me for that. If your cement needs may be less than $3,000.00, Don't call this company.
Description of Work: Asked for a quote to raise up, or replace, 2 slabs of sidewalk concrete leading to the front porch. Also wanted a cement walkway leading from the front of the house to the backyard. Lastly, wanted a cement poured add-on (8'x8') to my current backyard cement patio.

In the beginning everything went OK. There were a few mishaps: gutter down spout damaged and not fixed, I had lights installed around the perimeter of the patio and when they performed the saw cut the wire got cut and half the lights did not work. A section of fence had to be removed to bring the equipment into the back yard. What I did not realize for sometime after the job was complete is that the two main fence post next to the section that was removed were broke at the base of the concrete underground (which I had to fix). After the first winter, I noticed that the patio developed a long crack (over 15 ft. long and "spidering"). It looks horrible. I have been trying to get Biondo back to fix it. It's been almost 2 yrs. Every conversation I had was with the owner, and it has gotten me nowhere. A proposed fix was to fill the crack in with silicone, and in my opinion this is a band aid and not a long term solution. From my experience, customer service ends the second they get paid. I am glad for forums like this to expose these problems and to prevent other people from falling into a trap. The paper work states a warranty for workmanship and material, but Biondo has not lived up to this obligation. What's really sad, is I am probably going to build a deck over it in the future if I cannot get this resolved. Hopefully, Biondo will read this and come take care of the problem.--- Update 7/19/2014: Crack has gotten so bad that I am now getting estimates to demo the patio. Never heard back from this company.

Everything went very well. I had Biondo Cement install our new stamped concrete patio, walkway, and driveway. Everything exceeded our expectations and they are a very good company to work with. We would recommend Biondo Cement to all of our friends.

The person who was sent out to give me an estimate wasn't very knowledgeable, but quoted about $1,000 less than their competitor and I decided to go with Biondo based on research and cost. They schedule to come out to pour the cement about a week and a half after the quote. Biondo didn't actually come out to do the work until about a month later than I was told originally. I got the run-around. Because they were delayed by rain, I had to call to find out when they were coming out. I was told they would be out on a particular day to pour the concrete, but they didn't show. Instead of Biondo keeping me in the loop of what was going on, I had to call on a regular basis to find out when they were going to come out. As it turned out, I was the last person of the season they poured. In the end, they did a pretty good job. They'll need to come out in the spring to do another sealer coat. The cement looks spotty in areas, which based on John Biondo, the light colored areas are where the cement absorbed more of the sealant due to the cement being too dry. They said they'll come out in the spring free of charge to do another coat.

They did a very nice job and it looks really great. They did the job near the end of September 2010 and they told me that I should not use salt on the driveway. I said that was no problem and I anyway don't even own a bag of salt. It started to get real blotchy looking during the winter because my driveway and patio are stamped by concrete. The patio slightly showed a little bit but the driveway was really bad. The very last snowfall we had was a very small amount of perhaps an inch, and I found that the driveway was cracked from one side to the other. The snow was sitting on top of the crack but there was no snow anywhere else on the driveway and that seemed kind of odd. I called Biondo, and going by their answer, they weren't real energetic to do anything, and they come very highly recommended. We continued on and on and the owner of the company finally came out and looked at it and he offered a remedy to fix it, which frankly, wasn't something I was going to approve of. He basically wanted to cut out a section of the concrete where the crack was, re-pour it and dye it again, and stamp it with the pattern that we have on the border to try and blend it in. All of this concrete was pretty expensive, and after several months of my wife and I conferring back and forth, we finally decided that something had to be done about the driveway because it was totally unacceptable. We got him back out again and he brought out several other workers and planned to do the modification or the repair to the driveway that day. The driveway was wet when he had looked at it the first time because it had been raining and the blotchiness didn't show up quite as bad. It was perfectly dry when he came out this time and he looked at it, and one of his people that had installed the driveway said that he had never seen anything like this and that there was something wrong. The end result is that they have agreed to replace the driveway. They are going to come back in the spring and completely take out the driveway and redo it. There is a chance that it is faulty concrete. They have asked me to pay a portion to help cover the labor cost to fix that. My wife and I don't have a problem with that at all. It looked beautiful when we first saw it and everybody said so, and I I would have to say that the quality is excellent in spite of what happened. Their responsiveness has to be knocked down a bit because they didn't exactly welcome me with open arms. It took e-mails and a lot of phone calls to get them to respond. The punctuality was good and they were here when they said they would be here.

The contractor arrived with his crew at 7:30 AM as he said he would. There were seven men and they quickly unloaded their heavy equipment and started work after I discussed the job with the foreman. The garage floor was taken out quickly and crushed concrete was deposited on the sand base, leveled and compacted down to insure a solid footing. Re-bars were positioned on the floor. While the garage was being done, the old sidewalk next to the garage was broken up and removed. Crushed concrete was compacted and re-bars were put in place. They started pouring concrete in the garage at 9:30 AM and quickly distributed the concrete through the garage. The re-bars were raised to insure they were encased in the concrete and the crew started leveling the surface. While this was being done, the driveway was broke up and removed, the sand base checked for tree roots and 2x4 formers were put in place along with the sidewalk next to the garage. Next the crushed concrete was spread out, compacted and re-bars put in place. At this point, several workers were able to crawl out on to the garage floor to do the final troweling of the surface. Another cement truck can and concrete was poured into the drive was and sidewalk around the garage. Every member of the Biondo crew was busy doing some work. No one was standing around watching others work. They each had a specific job to do to complete the job. The last to be done was the approach to the street. After the driveway concrete set, they used a special broom to roughen up the surface so it wouldn't be slippery. Nice touch. They were finished with the entire job by 2:30 PM! The site was cleaned up and the street was also cleaned. The next day a Biondo worker came to cut the expansion joints in the garage, driveway, and sidewalks. After he finished cutting, he power washed the cement to remove the concrete dust. He also removed the 2x4 forms and took them with him. I believe it took him approximately 2.5 hours to complete the job. I inspected the work and the expansion cuts were straight and parallel to each other. Excellent work! The entire job was done quickly and the quality of the work was outstanding. All work was done in accordance with their written estimate and description of the work to be done.
Description of Work: Replaced the garage floor, driveway, pad to front porch, approach to street and sidewalk to side garage door. Added a concrete pad from the sidewalk to the water valve on the side of the house.
