Roger Dykstra Masonry

We had quite the saga getting to Roger Dykstra. We had previously used Roger Fussman for masonry work, but he turned down the job! His recommendation was to try Straus Masonry out of Weidman. They came out, surveyed the damage and promised an estimate by mail--that never came. From there, we tried calling Jason the Mason. I called this guy twice over a 4-week period to request an estimate. Each time, I got voicemail and left a clear message with name, telephone number, and details. He couldn't be bothered even to return the call. I can understand being too busy to do the job or not wanting it, but it takes no time simply to return a call, which is basic courtesy. I congratulate him on having so much business now and in the future that he doesn't care about new customers because I sure as heck won't use a guy who can't be bothered to reply (not that I could!) and certainly won't recommend him to others. DN Rau Incorporated also couldn't be bothered to even return a call. Skinner Masonry was too busy to come give an estimate, but at least replied. We ended up with Dykstra on the recommendation of one of the older farmers around here. They know how to answer a phone. They came out quickly and gave us an estimate. They gave us a start date and stuck to it. They were here every day and, on a couple occasions, stayed late into the evening. And the work is wonderful. Unless you look closely, you really can't tell that there was ever a gaping hole in the stonework!
