Roy & Paul Painting & Decorating

Had our kitchen cabinets, drawers painted. All good. Discussed process, timeline, payment options beforehand. Great care in covering areas to avoid paint spattering, surfaces prepped well, always on time, used brushes mostly but rollers used where beneficial. Painters personable, corresponded with us throughout, good cleanup job, a follow-up check. Results - a smooth and pretty paint job.

Very pleased with painting of my room. Their employee Don was prompt, worked steadily, kept me informed when he took a break and then later a lunch period. The room he painted looks great. Worksite was picked up. Highly recommend this company. Oh….he price was very fair

Fabulously!! It could not have gone better! Everyone in this company was a pleasure to work with. Our cabinets are spectacular!

He came out and he took a look at the house. He said we work a half a day minimum. I told him up front that it was a small job before he came out. He said he would get back to me and he never did. .

These folks were amazing - professional, efficient and gave us a good price. I would highly recommend them again to anyone that needs paint work. You will be very satisfied.

Over all well but there were a few bumps. That's said Paul was very responsive to the issues we had and things were taken care of in a timely fashion. We own an old home and sanding/painting isn't as easy as in new homes but we are very happy with the end product.

This is the third time I've used Roy & Paul and they did an excellent job. The team of Pam (Team Leader), Liz and Eric were truly outstanding. Pam arrived early on both days, reviewed the work that was to be done and got the crew working very efficiently. They were also very friendly and pleasant. Because of the color I chose for the loft/office area, they had to put on an extra coat of paint which took a little longer. I'm not sure I should reveal this but Pam only charge me half the normal rate for the additional time it took. They moved all of the furniture, blinds, lighting fixtures, mirrors and tv's from the room and walls and put them back EXACTLY where they were originally. They also cleaned the place up and bagged all of the trash upon completion. Also, Sean, who came out to give me the original estimate, was very accomodating and gave me very fair pricing when I told him I was a senior and had a minor lower budget number in mind after his original estimate. He was flexible and very fair with me. They were also able to start and finish the job within one week of the revised estimate. They started the job on July 2nd and had the work done by the next day, in time for me to celebrate The 4th of July with friends in my freshly painted condo! They are the BEST! I have used them before and will use them again.

Called them up and left voice mail on 9/21. Paul called the following day. We made an appointment at 4:00pm on 9/25 to meet at the house for an estimate. Waited over an hour for him to show up - he didn't. Never called me to apologize or re-schedule. Looking for someone more reliable.

It was very good service and I am satisfied. They were very friendly, nice, and professional.

They called us back; which other painters did not. The salesman arrived when he said he would but wrote down the wrong address. I did not receive their email had to contact them on Angie's list. The plasrter repair/painter called to let us know he would be late but arrived several hours after they were scheduled to. It took 3 days to complete the job due to humidity. There are a couple of spots that we will touch up. I was told that they do not work week ends because they have families too. Well...that means that you have to take time off work if you want to use them.

Very well. The work was of high quality. Both painters on the job were very professional.

Good communication, 2 workers arrived on time, professional, worked continuously for 1.5 days. Excellent, highly recommend.

Great job! Service was delayed and took more time than originally estimated, but job was well done. Came back later to touch up some areas that were messy. Dedicated to their customers!

Paul came out the same day I called to check out the work required, and sent me a quote the next day. I accepted, and the work was scheduled for several days after. Dan and Roy were here promptly, and did everything exactly as agreed. All were very personable and professional, and I will hire them again if I need any painting done.

Asked for a quote on exterior painting. They called to ask about coming out on the day before (4/18) we actually had scheduled the appointment. They said there must of been a miscommunication and came out as scheduled the next day (4/19). He seemed like he wanted me to point out all the issues and was asking me whether or not I wanted certain boards replaced. While I appreciate him wanting to get my exact concerns covered, without being up on a ladder I could hardly tell what should/shouldn't be replaced in some cases. He also asked me what kind of budget I was looking for in terms of painting as if he wanted to gauge what others had told me before giving me my quote. He walked around and took plenty of pictures and then said he'd send a quote out by that Friday (4/22) or the following Monday (4/25). This was abnormal from the other quotes I'd received either on the day or the next day but I was fine with it. He said he'd call after sending the quote because his email was often unreliable. I didn't receive a quote on Friday or Monday so finally I called back their office phone the next Tuesday (4/26) and it said I could text their number which I did assuming that would be faster. I never received a response so I called the next day and left a voicemail (4/27). I received a call back that night saying that he had sent the quote and that it must have had an issue and that he was out of town until the next Monday (5/2) and he would try to send it while out of time but would definitely send it by Monday (something about not being able to send it while out of the office). It is now the Wednesday (5/4) after that Monday and I've received no quote or additional communication. In the end the poor communication made me not really confident in choosing them as a provider at this point.

First of all, after you schedule service with Roy & Paul, communication becomes awful. You never can get in touch with Paul and it becomes a constant game of phone tag. On the first day, 1 guy showed up, when there was supposed to be 2. He only stayed for a couple hours doing trim and only finished one room. I was told the trim would be completed on the first day (didn't happen). On the second day, 3 guys showed up and seemed to be working well. My biggest complaint was that they took multiple breaks and all sat in a beat up van in front of my house smoking -- not a good look. They rushed through to finish and had me sign off on a form saying the work was done. After they left, and we inspected the house, we found mistake after mistake. There were sections of the wall that were completely missed, areas that were not sanded property, paint bubbles and trim that just looked sloppy. I called Paul and he sent someone back out to fix the work. In the end, the work was satisfactory. I am very disappointed in the service I received for the price I paid. Especially because these guys were referred to me by the local Sherwin Williams store. My recommendation for anyone using Roy & Paul is to carefully inspect the work before you let them go. Make sure you are getting what you paid for. I will say that the guys were very friendly and clean.

They were really nice and did an excellent job. I was out of state dealing with some family issues and when I got back they made sure that I was satisfied with the job and I had no complaints. They even help me hang some pictures up as well. Steve came out ,and he was really great and touched up any spots that I needed. I also received a two year warranty with the company and to give them a call if I run into any problems. There price was also great.

90 minutes to power-wash. 6 hours to paint & do the rest.

Roy and Paul did not show for the first appointment we scheduled for the estimate, but we rescheduled for the following day. They were on-time for this second appointment and we walked through the project. Our appointment was on a Tuesday and they committed to providing an estimate by the following Monday. After multiple phone calls over the course of two weeks, many of which went un-returned, an estimate was never provided. Overall, I was very disappointed that they wasted my time (and theirs) to walk through the project only to never receive an estimate. The representative I met with was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about exterior painting.

This was the second time we used them. Previously had dining room, family room ceiling and some closets painted. Roy estimated several jobs for us at once and we decided to do some of them now and delay others. I love the fact that Roy sends the estimate via email. Moving is very chaotic and it helps to have important info on my computer rather than on a piece of paper. The estimate is clearly laid out and Roy answers questions and gives advice. Dan was our painter both times. Very good at painting, but also a very nice guy and easy to talk to. He worked hard to get everything done in one day with no drips and good clean up. He didn't do a second coat in the closets because it wasn't needed and it saved us money. He even gave me advice on what was wrong with one of our toilets--and he was right! I have already recommended them to a friend.

Absolutely fantastic experience - crew showed up on time, double checked details with me, cleaned up each day, polite, informed and knowledgeable! They took the time to point out the issues with a few garage boards and worked with me to have them removed and replaced - something I said I would do myself and fortunately, for me, they were able to do before finishing the painting. Have already recommended them to a friend and will hire them again when I'm ready for another color change.

If you want work done the way it should be-- HIRE THEM! The guys were fantastic. They gave us a run down of how there process would go, what to expect the first day. I had them help me with choosing between two colors. I showed them one color that was on the walls in my living room and then showed the color I was leaning toward that was upstairs in the bedroom. In unison they both chose the bedroom color and explained why, which were all of the reasons I had. They were so cute and great. There work was fantastic.
