Please do your research before hiring this company. They used to operate under the name Total Home Solutions. They had to dissolve that company as their unsavory business practices caught up with them, earning them an F through the BBB. Today as Rebuilding Michigan (RM), Kirk Ramsey and Tom Bugbee continue to use the same scam/fraudulent business practices. Kirk sweeps in to your house and makes grand plans, offers up what seems like a reasonable timeline, and draws up a contract. Once you are locked in with a deposit, things go south quickly. I hired these guys for a basement remodel that was supposed to take 4-6 weeks. The timeline was important as we needed to create the additional space by a certain date. After we had paid them a significant amount of money, we had to wait over 2 months before anyone stepped foot in our house to even start the job. The job was supposed to be done by then. The situation only devolved from there. We went through several subcontractors/crews before we had to negotiate ourselves out of the deal. The reason for all of the delays is that the subcontractors are treated poorly by the owners. They low ball the subs (all the while holding on to your cash) and constantly argue with them until they walk off the job. The better subs leave sooner because they quickly pick up on the sleaziness of the owners. The subs that are more desperate for work try to stay on longer, but they also eventually leave because they are not getting paid and are constantly berated. Once one crew leaves, it takes several days to even weeks for RM to find someone else to work. Over the course of our experience there were many more stagnant days than there were days actual work was being done. Additionally, Kirk will do things like miss appointments with city building inspectors, which causes further delays. My wife and I both actually had to let inspectors in a few times who just happened to be waiting on our porch when we came home at lunch. Most of the time they just left a note because they couldn't wait around forever. If you actually got Kirk on the phone to tell them the inspectors were there, he'd say he was on his way but wouldn't actually show up. All the while you are basically held hostage because they already have a ton of your money. It took 8 MONTHS (remember the original timeline?) before we were forced to cut bait. My family took a huge loss and the job still wasn't done. We had to finish it ourselves at a significant additional cost. We knew RM had no intention of actually finishing our job, as we had already gone far, far beyond our original timeline and they were not working hard whatsoever to rectify the situation. In fact they were giving us the cold shoulder. They do not work in the best interests of their customers. They are extremely standoffish and aloof after they collect enough money. They mistreat subs until they walk off. They do not answer your phone calls and do not care how bad of a situation they have put you in. While we waited in vain for the job to be finished, for months we could not use our driveway, garage, or a significant amount of space in our home that was cluttered with items from the basement. They do not care about your home, your family, or your time. They don't care about the quality of the work. They only care about taking your money. Once they have it, good luck.

Terrible company, zero professionalism, zero customer service, quality is below zero, they hire subcontractors, basically handymen which are not licensed, work promised in 6 weeks, took 10 weeks and never finished, had to fire them. everything they did from dry wall to plumbing, to floor to electrical wasn't good, they lie about everything, I complained to BBB and after three month they responded with lies and I did right BBB back but company never replied again, you know why? because I have videos of everything they did and my conversations with them, so they know they can't get away with their lies, my experience is same as many people who reviewed them online. Kirk, Leijona and Tom are nothing but liars and low life people trying to steal your many and destroy your house. Avoid them. AVOID!!!
