Modernistic

Called Modernistic determine if they could clean carpeting and stone/tile floors throughout our home. The telephone representative was extremely helpful and informative and helped me to determine the approximate cost for the job. An appointment was made for Monday, May 14. Nick and Brett showed up as scheduled at 9:00 AM and went to work. They spent the entire day cleaning all carpets, approximately 1,000 square feet of stone floor and tile flooring in our 6 bathrooms (6,000 square feet in total). As work progressed, they informed us that they could also clean the chairs in our theater room. In addition, they also applied Scotch Guard protectant to the carpeting and chairs. They did an OUTSTANDING job on everything and our home now looks better than the day we moved in (2012). Nick and Brett are two of the most outstanding men we have ever had the pleasure of working with AND they are the hardest working and most professional people we've ever met. I will happily recommend Modernistic (especially Nick and Brett) to anyone seeking top notch home floor, carpet and furniture cleaning. We have also previously used Modernistic on two occasions to clean our HVAC ducts with similar outstanding professional results. Keep up the outstanding work folks!

Modernistic was very thorough and cleaned the dryer vent the best they could. They diagnosed a different problem that needs to be handled by another service. Both gentlemen were friendly, courteous, and professional.

We purchased a house in which the previous tenant smoked indoors - gross! We were told by some you could cover it up, but that you couldn't by others... We decided to renovate and sealed/primed/painted all walls and replaced all of the flooring, which improved the smell dramatically but it still lingered slightly. We thought it wouldn't hurt to have the ducts cleaned and I am glad we did! This was pretty much the last of it (a little lingered but open windows the past few weeks has led to a comfortable environment)! The gentlemen were very courteous, wore booties on our new carpet and flooring, were very mindful of their equipment not causing damage to our walls, etc. and they involved us every step of the way. They showed us our vents using a camera before and after the cleaning, as well as showed us how much nicotine they removed just from the vents by wiping them. The sanitizer is a little much to breathe in, so I recommend picking a clear day so you can have the windows open, but I think it was worth the extra $100 to do it right (the sanitizer is a $100 add-on service). All in all, I was hesitant at first to pay to have the ducts cleaned, but after seeing what they loosened and removed, I am glad to have a FRESH start! Seriously consider having your air ducts cleaned if you have never had it done, or just purchased a new home, because who knows if the previous owners had (and the best part is we barely have to dust anymore).

Paul did a great job in several rooms, & explained to me when I objected to the extra cost of Scotchguard that since we are selling our house, potential buyers will be bringing in dirt on their shoes—that made good sense to me so I added the protection. The next day it seemed there was still a shadow left of the adhesive. . Elise in the Troy office was very helpful & remembered my problem when I asked they come back to redo. They gave me a next day appt & Matt did a great redo of the stairs. I am very satisfied w their services, and they were nice guys as well. Paul asked that I call his manager to let him know, which I did & also tipped them.

I was very impressed with the carpet being cleaned. Our tech also offered a scotch gard which we did since we were just moving into this house and have dogs wanted to try to keep it clean as long as possible

They were excellent, i couldnt get them to all the vent because i have things on top of some of them. They just work excellent, and I highly them for the air duct cleaning service.

Steve Krantz was my tech and was wonderful! He made sure that he understood everything that was to be done before he started. He was prompt, friendly, professional, and really seemed to enjoy working for Modernistic. Will definitely use again.

It was okay. They arrived on time and went to work. I was shown a photo of the before and after in the furnace duct and I really enjoyed the scent of the antibacterial product they used. However, I noticed one vent was not cleaned, the bed which was where a duct was had been was pulled apart and left that way and in the basement the piece cut from the duct was left lying on the floor. It was sharp and could have hurt a grandchild if I had not found it first. Also, because the offer covered only ten vents, I had to pay an additional $60 plus another $60 for the dryer duct. No cost savings when added to the "special" price of $350. A few days later another offer showed up on Angies List with an advertised price of half that which Modernistic charged for the same service. Sad.

Very impressed with technician and company. Did not think they could remove some pet stains,but I was pleasantly surprised. Technician recommended Scotch Guard to help in future. I also asked for estimate for grout cleaning in 2 bathrooms. Probably will schedule in the future.

I am completely happy with both carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning services. Both teams coordinated their arrival so that the air ducts were cleaned before the carpets were cleaned! I was delighted that both Services could be performed on the same day. Both teams called ahead and arranged time that they would show up and they arrived right on time! I was completely satisfied with the professionalism of both Crews and how they explained everything that they would do before they started work. Both jobs were large. There were 20 air ducts that were cleaned and seven rooms, two closets, a hallway and stairway that were steam cleaned and Scotch guarded. I don't think this 13 year old house has ever had its carpets cleaned or its air ducts cleaned. I highly recommend and will use their services in the future.

The technician arrived during the 2 hr. window as I was told. The technician, Brandon Richards, was very pleasant and conscientious. He moved and cleaned under all the furniture that I asked him to move. The carpet looks great and feels so clean. I would recommend Modernistic.

It went beautifully they got rid of all the stains because I have pets and there were pet stains, they deodorized it and put Scotchgard on it, and like I said they did a beautiful job
