The original appointment was for Tuesday, and they missed the appointment, only realizing this because I called them to ask if they knew when the technicians were going to get there. At the point the person helping me with my call was very courteous and professional, apologized profusely, and offered a free dryer vent cleaning to make up for it. I was initially upset as I had to stay home from work to meet them for the appointment, which is not ideal. However, the second appointment went as planned, the two gentlemen who arrived were very professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyed explaining everything they were doing. This is always an added bonus as I really try to learn everything about my house that I can and the duct work is something I was unfamiliar with. I'm also grateful for the dryer cleaning as quite a bit of lint came out during that cleaning, which would have been a fire hazard as well as making the dryer run worse. In the end the total cost was about $150 cheaper than what it would have been, and it was done right before everything got really cold out! My family plans on having this done at least once every other year, and we'll likely stick with Modernistic.

After speaking to the company I decided I did not need the scotch guard as I am replacing the carpet in the next year. They informed me that they could not take it out of the deal and would have to just bill me directly. with it being $80 cheaper without the scotch guard I would like a refund. Modernistic is still doing the job.

Jay did a great job of cleaning the carpets and provided good tips to keep my carpets looking great. I will definitely call modernistic again and ask for jay.

Josh and Sean called promptly the morning of 11/6 and indicated the time they would arrive. They even called me 20 minutes prior to arriving which was great! They were personable, experienced and really delivered -- those ducts were dirty! I feel I really received value for the serivice they provided. I would DEFINITELY recommend both Josh and Sean to anyone. In fact, I decided to have a couple expensive rug runners cleaned and they wrote up the order and took the rugs with them. I asked if it was possible to have them returned prior to what was quoted. I received a call from Marc, in the rug department, that they would be able to return them early and he called me on the day of delivery with the time. Thank you so much, Marc! The rugs are absolutely beutiful again. Modernistic was friendly, helpful and I, again, recommend them highly for their professionalism, performance and sterling representatives -- you would be hardpressed to find this with any other company.

After the service was booked they scheduled for the next day. They were very punctual and professional. They moved furniture around to clean the carpets. The process was very smooth and they did an outstanding job of removing pet and other stains. We have a very long upstairs hallway and there were no complaints. The entire house came out way better than we expected. They did not try to pressure us into buying additional services and did an outstanding job of accomplishing the task.

The team called about 30 mins prior to their arrival, they were prompt, and incredibly professional and polite. They went out of their way to make sure I understood all of what they were going to do and kept me updated along the way. They were clean and even brought their own vac to clean up afterword. They showed me via camera before and after and there was a marked difference in the before/after images. I would not hesitate either using them again or suggesting them to friends or family. All in all a very A-PLUS experience

I used Angies List to select a duct cleaning service and selected Modernistic 30 days before the appt. I received a confirrmation by email after arranging the date with the representation on the phone. The day of the service(10/20) I called Modernistic to reconfirm because noone had called. Rep told me they were coming and would arrive between 9-12AM. Noone arrived. After 12PM I called again. This time they told me I wasn't scheduled until 10/22! (This scheduling screw up is the reason for the "C" grade on "Responsiveness"). This mix-up was a huge inconvenience in my home and my work schedule on 10/20!! Modernistic agreed problem was on their side. They have a problem in their office/customer service systems. The guys that came out and actually did the work did a great job. The 2 men (Sean&Josh) that came out 10/22 did an EXCELLENT JOB. They were PROFESSIONAL. and treated my home with respect. They showed me the before video and after video (clean as a whistle!). They also noted that other duct cleaning services I had used over the years had not thoroughly cleaned the air returns as they still contained construction debris (My home was built more than 20 years ago!!). I know the statement was true because during the cleaning I could hear wood chips hitting the hose wall as they were being extracted from my home. The reason I called in a duct cleaning service was I was noticing excessive dust balls quickly collecting on the floors and under furniture after a dusting and I was sneezing & waking up coughing during the night. I had traced the potential source to the ducts and hired Modernistic. That very night after the cleaning I slept comfortably and with no more sneezing & coughing. THANK YOU MODERNISTIC! I would definitely use this company again and I have already recommended Modernistic to someone at my dentist's office.

Modernistic was great in arranging an evening date for the carpets to be cleaned. The employee Sid arrived, was very cordial, went over what needed to be done, and went right to work. The prior owner had moved out and the carpet was not in good shape with stains from a cat (?). Sid explained the situation about the stains and I was surprised with how well the carpeting looked when he was done. Sid worked very hard. The house was hot even with the air conditioning on and Sid never complained or stopped working. He took pride in his work and was very professional. Very happy with Modernistic, would use again and recommend to others.

came out and cleaned all but under our couches in living room. upon finding this, I called and complained to office. they immediately reset another apt to come back and fix problem first crew missed. great company that stands behind there work. will use them again.

We purchased the whole house duct cleaning from Angie's list and provided 3 different days that would work for us. I contact them to schedule the duct cleaning as well. After they came we counted all the vents in the house. Up to 10 vents were included in the price but we paid additional for extra vents. They were professional and completed the job in 2 hours. They arrived on time. Good experiance.
