Showed me a video of the existing conditions, used a huge vacuum housed in their van, sprayed something into each return air vent and register, showed an after video. Everything seemed to go smoothly.

Quick, professional, cleaned up everything. Were careful of pets.

They arrived promptly, explained the procedures they would follow in doing the work, and completed the task with a minimum of fuss and with total professionalism. They left the work area cleaner than they found it, and their personal manner was unfailingly polite and respectful.

The person I spoke with, Elizabeth, was very kind. Unlike a lot of places that do air ducts, they were able to get me an appointment right away. They even have coupons on their website, and show you video of your ducts before and after they worked. The two guys, Joe and John, were friendly and efficient and did excellent work! They answered all of my questions and gave a detailed description of what they would be doing. They also let me know how things were progressing as they worked throughout the house. They also wore little footies in the house, so they weren't making any kind of mess anywhere. In the end, they did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone =)

I always ask for Jay Rizzo. He does an amazing job at cleaning my carpets. He is personable, friendly and professional. I have had other carpet cleaning companies clean my carpets in the past but none of them are even remotely close to being as good as Modernistic.

I bought a coupon for carpet cleaning, and Modernistic called to schedule quickly. They were able to come on my preferred day and did an excellent job on the 11-year-old carpet. I had mentioned a spot and odor in one particular area (our renters had a cat), so they focused attention in that area and were able to remove the spot. After a few days, the odor from that spot returned, and Modernistic scheduled a return visit to re-clean that area. Everyone I spoke with at Modernistic was professional and friendly--excellent customer service.

The company called and arrived when they said they would, The crew that arrived covered their shoes prior to walking through the house, and provided plenty of information on what they were going to do and how they would do it. They showed a digital image prior to beginning the process and after which showed a brief view. Cleaned up after themselves and were completed in a timely manner.

It went badly....The young man was polite but was in a hurry. I ask him to pretreat my heavy soiled carpet in the living room. He started upstairs first. He knew that my carpet was soiled by a dog. He also knew I had rust on an area of the carpet. He did not pretreat my living area rug, consequently the stains reappeared. The rust stain was still visible. I contacted another carpet service they told me what to use and the stain came out. My roommate is a witness to my carpet problem. The young man even stated I needed to have the carpet deodorized. I have contacted my card holder company to dispute the monies involved. Do I have to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Michigan to get this matter resolved. John Smith and Joe DeStephanis arrived on time, bootied to protect my floors and ready to start. They immediately brought in tools and hoses, deploying corner protection for drywall. They spent several hours using compressed air, a powerful truck-mounted vacuum, and vibration tools to dislodge a decade's accumulation of dust and drywall dust. They were very pleasant to have in my home and willingly explained what they were doing and why. They were not just going through the motions, but were very conscientious. It is unlikely that very much of what was in my ducting escaped them.

They were terrific - worked efficiently but did a thorough job. They were pleasant and very professional.

Aaron was great. I have a king size bed with box springs. I wondered if it was even worth having that bedroom cleaned professionally, since the bed takes up almost all of the space in the room. Aaron single-handedly dismantled the bed to clean the room. He put it all back together and even got the duvet perfectly arranged.

Office staff was informative and set up the appointment to be done in a time frame that worked for me. I received a call the day before and was given an approx. time and told they would call 1/2 hour before arrival .They called the morning of service and arrived on time. Nick and Sean were very professional explained everything they would be doing and answered all my questions They were very respectful of my home. wore shoe covers, used a spray cleaner on the vent covers to wipe them down. I will use this company again in the future.

The service that MODERNISTIC provided to clean the furnace air ducts in our home was good. Two service men showed up on time and went write to work. I didn't know that MODERNISTIC provided this type of service. They are known for carpet cleaning. However, MODERNISTIC is NADCA certified just like their competitors, but their service is at least $100 less (especially if purchased on Angie's list). We were very satisfied with the service provided at a great price! thank you

The people who showed up were very nice, very professional and very polite. They did they job as well as anybody. My problem is with the service itself. What I imagined is that they will come, open every vent and clean all the ducts throughout the entire house (as in "whole house duct cleaning" which was the service advertised). What they did was to cut some holes into the ductwork near the furnace, then hook up a big vacuum cleaner to those holes (one at a time) and start it. That essentially reverses the air flow from the vents towards the furnace. In the meantime, they did open each vent and cleaned it. When I purchased the service, I imagined they will reach into the ductwork with some cleaning device and remove the dirt from the walls, much like a plumber reaches into the pipes with a snake to dislodge and remove the builtup on the pipe walls. There was no such thing. They only cleaned up the vent covers and the vents. I don't think this did anything whatsoever to clean the ductwork throughout the house. I am sure that whatever cob webs and dust and gunk was in the ductwork buried under the walls, floors and ceilings, many feet away from the vents, is all still there. There is no reason whatsoever not to be there since nothing but the direction of the air flow was changed. I think more would have been done if they at least closed all the vents one at a time, such that all the suction power of their vacuum cleaner would increase the air flow speed in one section of the ductwork at a time. However, this was not done. All the vent were fully open at all times. I would never buy such a service ever again, nor would I recommend it to anybody. I believe it is completely ineffective and a waste of money. There may be other companies out there who actually reach inside the ductwork to clean them. That service may be worth it.

We liked that. It went well. We had more vents so we did pay more than $249, no more than 50 bucks.

I received a call the morning of the appointment to confirm time. I was completely surprised to find them parked in my driveway waiting for me to get home from work!!! Josh and Nick got right to work. They walked with me to locate all of the heat ducts and cold air returns. I purchased the house in March 2015 and they told me it looked like the ducts had never been cleaned because there were no access holes in any of the ducts! I noticed one of them cleaning each slate of one of the heat ducts, talk about thorough. I tried to stay out of their way and they had made sure to show me the camera view of before and after. It took about 11/2 hours. They answered all my questions and even added some foil tape to seal the ducts better. They certainly gave me more than my moneys' worth.

Hands down, this was the best experience I have ever had with the service industry. Modernistic was scheduled to perform a whole house air duct cleaning. They arrived within the time window they provided. The crew was extremely polite and professional. After an inspection of the air ducts they actually told me that it looked good and that an air duct cleaning was not necessary unless I still wanted it. I have never experienced a company who was so honest. They easily could have withheld that information and performed the work anyway without me ever questioning them. I will absolutely use Modernistic again and refer them to all friends and family.

They showed up about 15 minutes early, which was great!! We did a quick walk through of the house and they explained how everything to me. They were professional, polite and courteous. The carpets look great. Great team to work with I would bring them back in a second. My experience could not have gone smoother.
