Joe was very helpful in assisting me in picking out a fireplace doors that went with the style and color of my room. He took his time, answered any questions I had and scheduled everything pretty darn quickly! He was at my house the next day to measure for the doors and the installer was there a few days later to install the gas logs...as well and remove the old ones and clean out the fireplace. Joe was back in just a couple weeks to install the doors and they look great! I'm very happy with the service and the look of the finished product!

Michigan Fireplace provided insert for existing prefab fireplace that had pilot light. Failed to provide promised remote controlling temperature claiming it was not available for substituted fireplace but did not refund the extra money charge for premium remote control. Delivery was delayed until payment was received from credit card company. Fireplace provided had no factory trim to fit existing prefab fireplace. Michigan Fireplace refused to look at problem blaming it on 'independent' installer that they had recommended. Elderly relative misled into signing sales agreement lacking model of promised fireplace. Michigan Fireplace wrote up sale in vague language. Family later learned from competitor that provided fireplace was significantly less expensive that the fireplace originally promised.

Salesman should have spent more time listening to what was wrong with my remote and then possbily explaining exactly how what he sold me should be replaced. Then maybe I would not have wasted time and gas with a product that did not. work.

The service call was made. After 10 minutes looking at the situation and a phone call, he said he couldn't fix the problem. He said to repair it required specialized service that would cost me for the part $142.00 plus another service fee of $135.00. He said perhaps if I called the home office, I might be able to get a "deal". I felt suspicious and did not call. I called someone else to make the repair and it cost me $89.00 for the service call and repair. I felt totally ripped off by this inept company. All that was required to make the repair was to clean out the gas line.
