He called within 15 minutes of me asking on Angie's List ... very surprised at that. I explained my problem and he said I can do that. After that, before I knew it the project was done. Fortunately I arrived home in time, as he was finishing, to pay him on the spot. Done and done.Good guy. I'd hire him for handy man stuff again. Thanks Angie!

John arrived promptly, he knew what he was doing and cleaned up everything before he left. I couldn't have been more pleased.

He's the best -- always gives honest advice and recommends other quality service providers if he can't do the job.

Called john to get an estimate for some wall damage. We spoke within 1 hour of leaving a message and he explained he would call me back to schedule an estimate. It has been more than a week since with no follow up. I work for a company whom you are dismissed if it is shown you missed a return call within 24 hours, this is my guideline because I can easily follow it myself.

Had to wait a little over 7 weeks to come out which is understandable at this time of year. When John did confirm when he would be out and the time and he was very punctual. He and Bo arrived at 9am and were very professional and extremely kind, They assembled the shed and disassembled the old shed in less than one hour. Bo offered to take the old shed and box and put in his trash, as I live in townhouses and the trash day is Monday and can't put trash out until Sunday evening. They cleaned everything up. I would definitely hire them both again.

Showed up earlier than promised and did a very good job, for a reasonable price. My only gripe was that he didn't listen to me about the location of the cabinet screw holes and had to screw it in at a slant - it's stable and the appearance is fine, nevertheless. I had wrestled with this for a while and he was able to get it done quickly, so I was grateful for the help.

He was busy and he made a 3 week appointment. The day of the appointment I called to see if he was going to do it and he said that he wasn't and that he was sorry he didn't inform me. The quote was $475. He was unreliable. I asked him if I should call to make sure he was coming. He said no that he would be here. He made it very clear that he was busy and didn't want me to bother him. The price was good if he had done the work.

John is a great handyman, but he seems to book up quick and customers have to wait a few weeks before he can get to you.

I called on Monday after a hit and run driver damaged our old mailbox and post. He said he could be out on Thursday between 11am-noon. At 10am Thursday morning I received a call from my mother-in-law that she called 911 to take my father-in-law to the hospital, so I called John to reschedule. He came and did the work anyway, leaving an invoice in the door. When my husband and I returned home, the mailbox was in place with the address numbers in place as well. Very pleased with the job!

As with everything John has handled in our house (including through the years putting complete baseboard mouldings in and installing a headboard on our bed) John did a great job with the ceiling fan. No mess after he was done, walked me through how to use it with the dimmer switch that controls it (so as not to burn out the motor) and in general just did his usual great job.

John is great. Does a nice job. He has done work for several members of our family and it's always top notch.

The job went very smoothly. John was prompt in responding to my call. On the date scheduled he arrived on time and did a great job of fixing the damaged gate and aligning the two sides for smooth operating. He even noticed a nearby electrical connection that had disintegrating hole around it in the brick wall. He caulked it for me and it looks great. I would certainly use him again. In fact, he mentioned that he would be more than happy to have me keep a list of even the small tasks to be done and he would come and work on them at one time. That works for me.

Mr Jackson is professional, personable, and very helpful. I highly recommend John, he's a good guy and very skilled.

He accidentally called me one time thinking I was one of his other customers. I never heard from him again. Calling him was a waste of time.

Love, love, love. I need someone that can do the little things that come up around the house. John knows the city codes, fire codes, etc and just seems to know a lot about everything..He is going to come back and fix some water damage in my basement, replace a door from my garage to hallway. He also gave me great recommendations for painting and heating/cooling. Was on time, professional, charged me actual for materials and was very reasonable as far as pricing. Would recommend to anybody, including my parents, friends.

After being jerked around for a month an a half by another company only to be left high and dry looking like a fool. Then I called John Jackson and pled my case of desperation. John quoted me the same price as the other company and gave me a realistic timeline for project completion. Things were delayed a bit due to the arctic freeze, but this was obviously no fault of John's. John was so great about calling me and updating me on his status for completion of the project, which I really appreciated. When he did give me a completion date, BAM the job was done! Not only was it done, but it was done well. This was for one of my rental properties. I am a happy girl!! I will call John again next time I have a house repair at one of my places. I saved his number in my phone!!

Mr. John and his helper went to my friend house and provided a quote. Within a week, they came back to her house and completed the requested job of assembling the shed. I was so pleased that I will be requesting a few job at my house. I will be telling all my friends that if a job in their house requires to be repaired, installed, remodeled ,etc. this is the company to hire.

Previous handyman had not secured PVC pipe correctly causing it to leak a few weeks after he 'finished' the job. I called John in the morning, and he told me he'd call me back right away, as he was busy. Within an hour, John called me back, and shortly after that, he was at my house. He completed the job quickly, and charged far less than a plumber would have. John also quoted me on some other work I need done in the future, with the price being much lower than the quote from other handymen I had spoken too. Overall it was a great experience, and I'd highly recommend him to others.

Jackson made three trips to my home. The first was to review the work needed to be done. The second was to start the dry wall work. The third was to complete the dry wall work. He was courteous and on time and performed the job to my standards at a reasonable price.

Returned the call promptly; came out next day and replaced the box. Friendly and professional.

.Apparently, whomever owned my house before me came home drunk a lot because there was damage to the walls at about vehicle height. They put pieces of cardboard, dry wall, etc. to cover some of the holes and it looked horrible. I was tired of looking at it for 40 years, so decided to get plywood put up over the mess and have the walls painted. I contacted 2 other men who came over and gave me an estimate, but wouldn't listen to me as far as what I wanted done. I mean, I am only a stupid woman, right? I can't possible know what should be done, even though I had talked to the gentleman at Durst Lumber and he agreed with me. So, I found John at Angie's list and he came right over and gave me an estimate. He said he would do whatever I wanted as I am the customer and what I wanted made sense. He is so popular that I had to wait a while for him to have time, but it was worth the wait. He did an excellent job. He took off all the various patching materials, put up the 3/8 inch drywall I wanted and painted the walls white. It looks so nice and he was so easy to work with. Very pleasant and did a good job. I would definitely hire him again.

John was prompt and professional, friendly and helpful. I thought his hourly rate as well as the total cost of the work he did for me was very fair. He was completely prepared to tackle any job asked of him. I will -- without hesitation -- call him again in the spring to do further work around my house. I am delighted to have found a competent handyman!

Called him to see if you could do a few small projects for me. I happen to catch him while he and his wife were on the road, headed out of town for the weekend. | |He was going to call me back and discuss (and provide me a referral for someone to clean my gutters) but never heard back from him. | |Seemed like a nice guy on the phond, for what it's worth.
