+ -1 moreIt was wonderful! While he was working, the tech taught me a few things about the system. As he was writing up the invoice, he offered to clean up the front of the cooler and advised I was using the wrong stainless steel cleaner, so he just gave me the bottle he used. He was very helpful!
Description of Work: They came out to repair our Sub Zero wine cooler. The compressor had died. I bought a complete package for wine cooler maintenance.

Mel determined that the cycle selector knob was installed upside down (a factory/manufacturing issue), that he promptly corrected. The result is a much happier mom who can now bake cookies for my kiddo.
Description of Work: Mel came out a few times to diagnose an issue with my Viking stove.

Description of Work: First called Speedway Refrigeration because they were highest rated and most reviews. Owner Moses Moss took 2 days to respond then another day to quote parts and estimate labor cost. His labor cost was high ($200 vs $100 for Factory Service Spec)because he was not familiar with Thermador Oven repair. So I called FACTORY SERIVE SPECIALISTS instead. They quoted over the phone and were knowledgeable about problem because they are an authorized Thermodor repair co. I needed the display control panel replaced. Part =$340; service call & labor to replace = $110. I called ahead and asked them to order GE Monogram Refrigerator Light switch. They ordered and replaced at same visit for zero additional fee. Part was $37. Two years ago another repair company quoted $200 to replace light switch. I am DELIGHTED to have the light back on in my refrigerator after 3 yrs being dark!! Factory Service Spec was very professional during phone call and repair call. I will use them again for all my repairs including Bosch dish washers (I have two) because they are Bosch Authorized repair also.

+ -1 more3/1/13 They replaced the motor. In the process they damaged the supply water line at the fitting on the dishwasher but we didn't know that at the time. After the repair there were a few drips but we thoght it was from the door seal. We cleaned the seal and mating surface and the leak persisted and got worse. I finally called FSS to comeback and see what was wrong. The repairman that they sent was rather surly and finally said that it was the supply line and that he had no parts to fix it and that we would have to call a plumber which I did. It cost me $135 to correct their mistake.
Description of Work: Replaced the motor on my Bosch dishwasher.

+ -1 more1. Called for service on Tuesday, May 22, 20122. Service man came to service dishwasher on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Said it was an electronic problem and would order the part, as they did not have it in stock.3. The part was replaced on Tuesday, May 30, 2012. Service man left with dishwasher running saying it needed to cycle to set electronics. When cycle was finished the water and dishwasher was cold and could not be used. I called immediately. They said they had to order another part and it take time to come in.4. I called them on Monday, June 4th to find out what was taking so long. Was told the part was in and the servive man would call to set up appointment that day or the next a.m.5. I called on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Serviceman not available.6. I called on June 7, 2012 and after some talking finally got the service man to come out again to finally really fix my diswasher. I could not use of the dishwasher from the initial call on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 until Thursday, June 7, 2012. The electronic part was covered under warranty. The service call cost $109.00.
Description of Work: An electronic componet had to replaced. The service man did not find the root of the problem until he came back over two weeks later. It was a clogged tube that recylces the water in the dishwasher.

+ -1 moreThe oven started flashing an error code on March 29, 2012. Called a company who had done a repair on the oven quite a few years ago and paid a $90.00 service charge to have him diagnose the problem. They said part would be $850.00 and would have to be ordered. Two weeks later (after another service call and no successful repair) I called Factory Service who diagnosed over the phone and had the part within three days. The part was installed the next day and the oven is working again. Very professional and helpful.
Description of Work: Double oven was flashing an error code which required a service visit. A ERC part was replaced and within a few days my oven was up and working again.

+ -1 moreThe repairman came once to diagnose the problem. He identified several issues: a missing drain cover, a defective circuit board and a defective pressure switch. The parts had to be ordered, so a second trip was necessary. Although the parts arrived within a week, we could not schedule a repair until we could arrange a time to meet the repairman. On the second trip, the repair was completed and we have had no problems. The repairman was able to reduce our cost by submitting a warranty claim for the circuit board, even though our dishwasher was over 10 years old.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher was leaking water during the wash cycle.
