+ -1 moreWe received a competitive price, and they were willing to come down when we asked. A new estimate sheet was mailed to us with the updated price. The job was pushed back a couple of times due to weather. When it was done, it was completed within a few days. I did receive constant calls from the company's administrative staff asking for various things, and sometimes those calls became before 9 a.m., which I felt was a little unprofessional. My biggest gripe was they would not tell me what kind of shingle they were using. I called and asked. They told me the brand and the color, but never the type of shingle. I should have insisted that they give me this information, but I'm new to owning a home and did not. So I was stuck with CertainTeed X25 shingles, which is about as cheap of a shingle as you can buy. They also used plastic flashing instead of metal. The whole job just felt cheap to me. Again, I partly blame myself for this. I should have been more proactive, and not assumed they would have given me at least a middle-of-the-road shingle. I also had my uncle come over and check out the quality. He said the roof line (where the shingles hang over the edge) we're not all the same, but that it wasn't bad enough to complain. So we did not. All in all, I don't think I would use this company again. I do feel that they gave me the cheapest product, and never even offered me an upgrade option. The price of doing business these days, I suppose.

+ -1 moreOverall job went fine. House was inherited and it was several months from first estimate until house was out of probate. Price went up over time. After house was transferred and contacted for install date, the date was moved twice due to weather, Once they showed up on site, worked hard, did great work and cleaned up mess.
Description of Work: Installed new roof on 750 square foot rental & two car garage.

Description of Work: Costigan roofers stripped my roof and replaced necessary roof plywood and new shingles and cleaned up the mess. There was absolutely no nails or pieces of shingles anywhere. What a great job!

+ -1 moreI made an appointment to estimate my roof (Monday, 8:30 am), the person was a no show. I gave the benefit of the doubt that he actually meant Tuesday (just forgot it was a holiday weekend), but no one came until Friday morning. His walking about on my roof was the first notice I received that he arrived. I asked questions about what his work included, type of shingles, venting, etc....he never gave any specific response, only indicated that I should "not worry about it". I know that this company has a good reputation with Angie's list, I simply was uncomfortable with continuing with this contractor based on the shaky start. Other contractors who came to the house were more professional.
