+ -1 moreI was really impressed with them. I don’t remember the price of it but it was cheap. The workers were great and very helpful. They were very good. Their responsiveness was wonderful. It was right away and immediate. They were wonderful.

+ -1 moreThese guys are down to earth and professional at the same time. Truly a delight to work with. They know their business and are out to provide maximum value. If you just want batteries replaced go to any local jeweler. If you want to buy good jewelry, or get it appraised go to Alan James. I feel confident you will be glad you did.
Description of Work: Alan & James worked on appraisals for a number of heirloom pieces that I have to deal with. This also involved repair and in some cases suggestions for creative modifications that would add increased functionality and value to the pieces. Some of the pieces were broken watches. Some were worth fixing, one was especially worth fixing - like straight out of the Antiques Road Show. Alan & James were able to identify items quickly and accurately, using (as necessary) lab work to determine the exact composition and origins of items. One very old silver coin wasn't worth more than it's weight. One stone turned out to be extremely rare and needed increasingly advanced certification, especially for country of origin; this again was like out of the Antique Road show!
