Hansons was hired to install new windows and siding. 3 days ago, Hanson installers failed to reconnect the furnace exhaust pipe causing carbon monoxide to accumulate in the basement causing family members to become ill. Prior to this, Hansons repeatedly failed to arrive on-time for a period of more than 30 days. At this time the job is still incomplete.

If I could give them NO STARS , I WOULD ! On November 1st 2022. the Rep. from Hanson's came to my home as requested, to give an estimate for to replace my roof, gutters and fascia board. He completed the inspection. He quoted us a price Of $17,630.00. He stated they would need half the payment up front as we were paying cash to order the materials. I gave him $8900.00 in cash. Leaving a balance of $8730.00. Hanson's had their supplier Wimsatt drop off the roofing supplies that I paid for. Hanson's showed up on November 8th to start the job. I left to run a few errands, and I came back, and the entire crew was gone. I called Hanson's and got the receptionist. She didn't know why they cancelled. I called back and asked why did they leave. The rep stated that there were structural issues that he didn't want to sign off on.We had two other roofers who inspected our roof, and they did not mention any structural damage. Because I needed my roof done, I called another roofer, asked for the inspection. I stated that I wanted to use the supplies I paid for to have the roof done. When WimSatt came to pick up the supplies, I asked to be invoiced for the supplies. The person who was picking them up called his boss, who said I was not required to pay for the supplies twice. We returned $280.00 of the items ,as the roofer we hired did not need them. My wife and I received a call from , the Regional Manager of Hanson's. When I asked to be billed for the materials, he stated that I would have to pay another $5941.00, for a total of $14,841.00. I have the supply order from Wimsatt and the total amount of materials is $5,936.00. That means Hanson's would have to refund me $3,243.04. But they are saying that the materials was THEIR property. That is not correct, as I paid cash to insure the materials to be ordered for my roof. They were not financed by Hanson's. Hanson's is trying to force me to pay them $8904.04 for having Wimsatt drop off materials. They did NO WORK. I paid for the materials. They reneged on the contract. I want them investigated for price gouging and consumer fraud. They have threatened to send my name to collections. Yet I don't owe anything to them. I paid for the $5,936.96 in materials with my down payment of $8900.00. I returned some materials to Wimsatt , which was worth $280.00. Leaving the $2963.04 left over for the work to be done. Please contact me as soon as possible. I can send you all of the contract materials , in addition to the emails from the regional manager. Hanson's really believe they can just KEEP people's money and do NO WORK. The materials were paid for by me, IN CASH. I saved 8 years to get my roof down, and Hanson's is out here demanding to be paid because Wimsatt dropped off materials that I PAID FOR! They Attorney General needs to investigate this company.

Nov 2021- roof replaced. There were so many nails around my yard I lost count. Dec 2021 parts of said roof on two of the 3 structures blow off due to faulty installation. Debris all over the entire neighborhood, nails all over after we just cleaned up what was left after install, shingles in flowerbed, yard, streets. Not to mention the shingles that blew of are all broken into jagged pieces really making me question their quality. Dec-May 2022 after numerous calls to the company, visits from "managers" to my property to take photos, I sit and wait. July 2022 roof is scheduled to be repaired, contractor shows with no materials to repair, has to return that weekend. July 2022-current day I fight with them to get the interior water damages caused by bare patches of roof paid for. They sent out someone to look at the damages, scheduled and cancelled so many times I missed days of work waiting around for no one to show. He acted like they would cover damages and told me to get estimates myself because the company doesn't do interior sheetrock. After all of that headache and missing more work to get contractor estimates, they force you to use your homeowners insurance for any and all comprehensive damages caused by the poor installation. In the contract they make it read like that is only during the installation process not after work is completed. I only recently was told that Hanson's subcontracts out the installation and it is not performed by "them" so you they have no liability over the damage. I paid close to $30,000 for the roof to wait 7 months for repairs and a year plus to be told the truth about how they work. Do not waste your time or money thinking you have a lifetime warranty and use someone local who cares about their reputation. UPDATE: they attempted to force me into an agreement just to re-turn my insurance deductible that THEY AGREE TO IN THE CONTRACT prior to installation. Example:This will serve as a full and final settlement for any ,and all alleged interior issues that may have arisen out of the above install contract # ***** between 1-800-Hanosns LLC, and **** have an amicable settlement to a disputed matter. 1-800-hansons will provide a reimbursement of $ for documented deductible for the alleged property damage ARISINNG OUT OF CONTRACT **** home owners insurance quote. This agreement is a private matter and considered a non-disparagement agreement between all parties. Please reply I/We agree. Needless to say I will not reply with anything other than pointing out the fact they are in breach of their own contract by not reimbursing the deductible.

I completely regret using Hanson's! It took over 12 weeks for them to install the door and the Door come in the Wrong size, they Add wood around the Door and ask me to paint it. Verry Bad team and very bad Dealing with the customers they just ask about the money

I completely regret using Hanson's! It took well over 8-12 weeks for them two install the door wall as promised. When they did, they cut an electrical line and now I have two outlets that do not work. The outside door handle broke two days after being installed and they say I have to wait three weeks for a new one. Terrible customer service!

The sales rep did an amazing job. Was very knowledgeable about products and materials. They came about 2 weeks later and started our roof. They were redecking our roof and a storm started to come in (dark dark sky) instead of stopping to cover the roof they tried to rush it resulting in my house receiving water damage. They gave me the run around saying the storm came out of no where. I have it on my ring camera where you can tell the sunny sky was gone and it got dark. They knew they were just rushing. Eventually they paid for the materials needed to be fixed but I had to fight for it. Then I came home to a horrible bent fascia piece and no one told me what happened and turned out it had rotted but when they stepped there while putting the tarp on they destroyed the piece. When asked they said they were gonna replace the wood (we paid for the wood) and get me a new fascia piece. Instead they tried hammering out the piece. When I complained about it, the project manager said that she was also told it was suppose to be a new piece and she will talk to her supervisor. Next call I get is they decided that they weren’t going to replace it because it was looking the same as before. The piece was definitely not like before. I asked to speak to her supervisor. After explaining to the supervisor, her response was if we told you it would be new, we will replace it. It wasn’t like I was trying to make money or anything I just wanted the new roof we were paying for and no damage to the rest of my house. The project manager never answers her phone or responded to emails. Anytime I contacted her it took multiple calls to get a hold of her. Never once did she call back because of a voicemail I left. The gutters went fine. Overall, I would never recommend hansons and will not be a returning customer. If they had not been so hard to contact and kept giving me the run around and made their wrongs right, right away this statement could have been different.

Purchased home in 2019. Work was done in 18 from previous home owner. Gutters were not properly installed and are now falling off after only 4 years. Facia boards were not wrapped and are failed. They will not warranty the poor work because I did not fill out a transfer warranty form on $28,000 worth of work on gutters siding and windows. I sent over pics per managers request and he will not respond cause he knows they were not properly installed. They offered to get a sales person out to purchase new gutters. Do your self a favor and go with another company. Terrible company who will find any way to avoid their poor craftsmanship.

I selected 1800 Hansons over another local company because they offered a lifetime warranty and were comparable in price. They installed in January on a 15 degree day and said when we get a nice sunny day it will seal. March came and we had a nice sunny day, but instead, the entire roof buckled. I have been trying to get it fixed for 2 months now. After a month the finally got a crew out who stated that half of the roof needed to be pulled off and completely redone. It’s been a month and no word. I can’t get anyone to answer my calls.

Horrible.
Description of Work: They did a complete tear off and replacement of our roof. Within few days some parts of roof are leaking. They didn't honor the life time warranty. Never heard from Hanson's and BBB and the last time that we have heard from BBB the case was close.

Lack and incompetent workmanship and failure to comply with their warranty. We have significant damage in our home and they fail to fix it. They are disrespectful to me as a woman, they are degrading to me as a woman. My roof is still leaking and they are not coming back to fix it. They have horrible customer service because of their negligence.

Wish I could give them -10 stars! The salesman was pushy and rude, didn’t even explain to us all the options available and what to expect. From start to finish the whole process was slow, unprofessional, sloppy, unfinished and all around crappy. Half the windows were broken when they got there and the framing still isn’t right. They also sprayed foam insulation all over my back yard knowing I had a dog and it could have killed him if he ate it. Then when you call and ask for help they don’t want to be of any assistance and don’t even bother trying to get in touch with your project manager. All they care about is billing.. they are sure prompt and quick about that. Avoid 1-800 hansons at all cost. They hide all the comments and feedback online for a reason.

Roof job completed in 2017. Noticed a leak from a plumbing vent a few months later, reached out and got no response. Posted a bunch of bad reviews and they called me back really quickly. After their response I changed my reviews to positive because they seemed to be interested in fixing the issue. However, after I changed this review all communications and effort to fix the issue their roofer caused ceased. I have not heard from them and the issue persists. I only changed the review initially because they seemed to really want to help. But it appears now they only want their reviews to look good.

They did a horrible installing them. They came back to fix it and agreed the instillation was not done properly. They told me to call them back if it still leaks. It still leaks and they habitually schedule an appointment and then cancel and reschedule. Finally on the scheduled appointment date they simply don't show up! No phone calls no text they simply didn't come. DO NOT USE HANSON'S NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! They are subcontracting local installers that you could hire for faaaaar less. Don't be fooled by the 30 year guarantee or smooth salesman.

DON’T TRUST THE LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! 3 years after getting a new roof, there was mold found. They were supposed to replace all boards and add ventilation as needed. Now, I am trying to sell the house and they are terrible to work with. Once they have your money for the big project, they do not care to repair! It took a week to get a call back for an appt then they no called, no showed. Rescheduled without even telling us at a time in the middle of the week that didn’t work for us. They keep promising and rescheduling without telling us. Terrible customer service! The only thing they have going for themselves is a nice girl answering phone that unfortunately gets the brunt of it. DON’T DO IT!!!

Would not recommend this company for roofing! After what was promised to be 1 week for the start of roof installation from time of estimate turned into 3 weeks. After the scheduled day of installation, we faced 3 days of no-shows from the installation crew without any courtesy of a phone call with a reason as to why. Inconsiderate and negligent!

They do extensive promotion on TV. I pretty much disliked everything about them. I, absolutely would never ever use them again. The job actually failed inspection the first time. They're not timely, it took months to get them to start and then months to follow up. They're non responsive to fix problems. I would never ever use them again. They say the right things but they're not always true and they don't follow. I started over a year ago, trying to get someone to come out and look so they could fix some of the issues. He came out finally and agreed it was horrible and said, "I'm going to set you up with a crew right now," and it has been over a year. They don't respond to the phone calls, they don't come out. Once they've got their money you're done. If the job would have been done right, the price would have been okay.
