Met Marco the last week of July and a contract was written up to replace my patio. It was agreed that my raised patio would be removed and replaced with a patio that was level with the driveway and side walk and that poured steps from the patio door would be put in. The job was to begin on August 16th and finish two days later on the 18th. I was excited. I had a good price quote too. I gave Marco $100.00 down payment. There was bad weather on the 16th so a delay for a day.. no big deal. No one showed up on the 17th which had good weather. No one from the company called. I called and they came on the 18th and did the tear out, poured gravel and packed it and put up forms... for a raised patio which is what I did not want. I recorded what was done on my phone and sent it to Marco telling him they had made a mistake. No reply. I made phone calls on the 19th and they said they would send the crew out on the 20th to correct the mistake. One guy shows up at my house on the 20th and we talked. After discussing the options of having brick work done behind the old patio I agreed to have a raised patio poured. I didn't want to wait any longer. They guy asks when I wanted it poured and I said "tomorrow" and he said "weather permitting". Guess what? The weather was ok and they didn't show up. So here it is now, August 27th and I had to call them at 8:30 am and ask if they were going to pour the patio today or sometime this week. Now I'm ******. We've had some rain and we've had clear days in the past week and I have to call them? The lady on the other end said they would come out today and pour the patio. They don't call their customers with information on delays, or to check on progress. They don't care about their customers. I would not recommend this company to pour casket vaults unless you're planning on having a very late funeral. How the **** do they stay in business? They better get it done today because it is the last day. I'll let you all know.

I thought they were doing a good job. They were not very punctual on when the work would get done. Weather could happen and I'm good with that. Marco the owner could have called and kept me in the loop on when the work would get done. When they did come they worked hard and removed the old drive quickly and prepped for the pour. I asked them to be careful with the sprinkler system, they needed to reposition one head. Marco guaranteed they would do that and it would be fine. Cement was poured it looked great. I asked for the sprinkler head to buried when the forms were removed. THey did not. After calling Marco he told me someone would be out that day. No one showed. Called 3 more times and I finally did it myself. The problem came mid winter when the cement started to flake off, I thinking its called scalling. THe top layer comes off leaving the cement all pocked marked. Marco had promised to come out and seal the cement after it cured. He did not. If he had it shouldn't have scalled. I asked him to come by this pass spring to inspect and he said he would but never did. I tried this 3 more times and now I am on here to share. He also poured my fathers cement a month after mine. There I again asked him to be careful of the sprinkler system. His guys cut the control lines for the system and messed up one of the heads. He was to come out and reattached a hand rail so I held back $150 till he did. He never came back and I used that money to fix the sprinkler system. I do not recommend someone who does business like this. Stay away, FAR AWAY!

Not a great experience! At first they seemed good, came right out for the estimate and gave a great price. We put the deposit down and didn't hear from them for a few days and had no date set. We called them and they gave me a date 2 weeks out. On the date I was given no one showed up, I had to call again to see if they were coming that day, said they would be here by 5. They did show up and got the sidewalk prepared, but no one spoke English and the workers had no idea what work we ordered. They left and didn't come back for 3 days and the only reason they came back is because we called and called. They left our front yard a mess and still haven't been back to clean up and take their forms out. It's a shame because the cement work was done well and the price was good. However the poor scheduling, communication and follow up makes them extremely difficult, frustrating and time consuming to deal with. Almost 2 weeks later and NEVER came back! Had to take the forms out ourselves and our yard around the sidewalk is ruined and now we have to fix that. Never again!!!

They were friendly, courteous, and very professional. They worked well as a team and didn't appear to rush the job. In some ways I thought they were even meticulous about their work. I thought they did an excellent job. I talked to the local building inspector prior to hiring them and he said they did a lot of work in my area, he'd never received any complaints about them, they always pulled the proper permits, and he thought they did very good work, too. My only complaint was that they damaged my garage door and didn't tell me. The door was only five years old. I took a picture of the driveway the day they removed the old cement, including the door. The next day when they were mid-way through the process of pouring the new cement, the owner knocked on my front door and asked me to open the garage door. I didn't think anything about it at the time. However, a week later while taking pictures of the finished job, I noticed the lower left side of the door was dented and wrinkled. It wasn't obvious unless the light was hitting it the right way, but once I noticed it I could see it from any angle. We had not parked on the driveway for that week, which may explain why I hadn't noticed it before. Viewing the pictures I had taken previously, the door was undamaged. I could not think of anything that could have happened in the week since the pictures were taken that could have caused that damage. That's when I realized they must have either fallen into my door or hit it with some equipment while pouring the mix, denting two panels, and that is why they had asked me to open it. Whereas I cannot prove they were the ones that damaged it, I know it was them. To be fair, I did not contact them about the door since an entire week had transpired before I noticed the damage. Regardless of that, I would hire them again BUT I would open my garage door first.
Description of Work: Olive Cement replaced my driveway and several sections of sidewalk. They widened my driveway to match the width of my garage, not just the garage door opening. In addition, they replaced the walkway from the driveway to my front porch, rounding the corners rather than squaring them at my request. They gave me a choice of re-bar or fiber reinforced cement. The owner always returned my calls in a timely manner and he gave me an excellent price. Unlike some other cement companies I had received estimates from, they had no objections to pulling a permit.
