Kurtis Kitchen & Bath - Woodhaven ( Relocated)

Worst experience in my 50 years! From the beginning, the initial floor plan for the kitchen was off. From the outset this caused "cheap fixes" to be needed which down grade the value and esthetics of a kitchen project that's going to ultimately cost $20,000. My concerns were treated as if unimportant. After a major issue developed due to the botched floor plan, I was pushed off on the man in the office who told me an outrageous lie in an attempt to bully me. When I called him out on his lie I was yelled at. Kurtis had no interest in doing my job correctly or making things right. The true measure of a business is how they act when things go wrong and Kurtis was found wanting. To review: Floor plan botched, ignored, lied to, yelled at, ignored. It cost me $1000 with another contractor to fix the mess they caused.

It was good to work with a knowledible designer. All the workers were polite, professsional, pretty much on time. My kitchen looks beautiful. They let us do the demo work and the backsplash tile. Everything went pretty smooth except for the cast iron sink was lopsided and had to be reordered. But they took care of it fast. A job well done. 5 stars in my book. My concerns were treated as if unimportant. After the second and major issue developed due to the botched floor plan, I was pushed off on the man in the office who told me a silly lie to bully me. When I called out his lie I was yelled at. Kurtis had no interest in doing my job correctly. The true measure of a business is when things go wrong and Kurtis was found wanting.

We had used Kurtis for a previous remodel of our lower level to provide the cabinets for the kitchen portion. We purchased Kraftmaid cabinets through them. The job was beautiful and our experience was good so we chose them again for our next project. We again chose Kraftmaid cabinetry for the project. This is where we had difficulty. The cabinets are very well constructed, however, this time we had a glazed finish applied. The consistency across the project as to the glaze application was awful. Kurtis worked with us and had the representative from the company come and look at the job. They replaced some pieces and credited us for others. Our relationship with our representative at Kurtis, Adrian Aninos in the Clarkston office could not have been better. He is an architect so he was able to bring a lot more knowledge to the design than just a designer. Overall, we would definitely use Kurtis again, and probably a Kraftmaid product, but I would stay away from the glazing products. That said, we are very picky, so what we consider unacceptable may be ok for others. My advice would be to purchase a few pieces in the finish first and you decide!

Fairly smoothly. A few hiccups, but everything was resolved immediately and date were not effected. Lauren did a fabulous job with measurements. Everything fit perfect!!!! She designed our island using our existing cabinets and helped in choosing colors for counter top and new cabinets. Cabinets were delivered on time, as were the counter tops. Our contractor was amazed at how well she measured. Anytime there was an issue, Lauren got it resolved in a very timely manner. Didn't miss any of our deadlines!!!!!! Love it!!! I couldn't be happier.

Neil was our sales associates. He is awesome! Very knowledgeable about everything that went into our new kitchen. We didn't experience any issues at all. All the measurements and everything were perfect. I'd highly recomend him and Kurtis to anyone.

Not enough choices of things like medicine cabinets and shower doors - it's a take what they show you kind of thing Got the wrong tub - not the same as in the showroom and the one we got had a slope when you steped in and my legally blind father would have fallen. Kurtis put in a grab bar at their cost - HOWEVER, it was a large stainless bar that looks like it belongs in a nursing home. Tear out was great - no issues at all Time of remodel was acceptable - a few weeks quality of work was poor in some areas - bathtub and bath walls had larger than normal gap between them....Kurtis said the walls were not square so it had to be that way. The new walls they put up around the bathtub surround had bumps and pits that look bad. Ceiling has a ridge that isn't right. All of this stuff I should have pointed out when they did the final inspection but I was just so tired of them being in my home that I let it go. Word to the wise, be there through every step if you can and refuse to let them continue until they fix issues that are not right - I tried to get them to ifx the gap between tub and walls but after a while I gave up the argument. In the end, the bathroom looks fine but for that amount of money, it should be better.

did not measure counter top correctly and needed to redo. Light fixture, although minor, took over two weeks to arrive after intially arriving broken the first time. The big problem with this group was customer service. They were not responsive at all. You had to initate all corrective actions after spending a large amount of money Will not use again. Customer service - D grade.

Everything was done as promised. Will definetly use them again.

Needed to have the commode available throughout the remodel (one bathroom house). Kurtis was very obliging in making sure the bathroom was still useable during the remodel. The tear out was done quickly and salvageable items were given to Habitat for Humanity.
