Rainbow Bath & Shower

Rainbow bath and shower did a wonderful job replacing my shower. In one day, the whole job was finished and looks perfect with a custom fit. I had a problem with the door not tight and the company upgraded my shower door for free. It is refreshing to see a company with such attention to customer satisfaction and they no longer sell the door. Overall, they were very professional.

We originally had 2 separate gutters with leaf guard installed 4 or more years ago. I realized later that we paid more than double the usual cost, but I felt the extra cost was at least partially offset by the LIFETIME warranty. Recently, we developed a leak in which water ran under the gutter and down the wall. Since we had been told that the warranty would be void if I disturbed the gutter guard in any way, I called the company for service. We waited a few weeks until they were in the area, but this was no problem. When they came, the leak was fixed in 5-10 minutes using roofing caulk that I provided. You can image my surprise when we received a bill for $75. I called to question the bill, but I have not received a response to date. When you pay for a Mercedes you don't expect Yugo service. We plan install additional gutters in the future, but we will not be using this company again.

I'm very pleased. The quality of both the materials and workmanship is excellent.

Several years ago Rainbow installed their gutters on our home. This past year we needed them removed and then re-installed since we were putting a metal roof on our home. We called them on short notice and they were able to squeeze us into their schedule. Very happy with the quality of their work (and the gutters) and their flexibility and responsiveness.

Initially met with Dave on 12/30/13 and ordered a new shower stall. It is an unusual size, apparently, so a special floor tray needed to be made. I was told this would take about 3 weeks. They called 10 days later and reported that the tray they received was cracked and would have to be reordered, delaying the install for another week. We set up a time for them to come, and the installers arrived on time. Took all day, they were neat and it looked very nice, but they had ordered the wrong size door (it hit the edge of my tub). They admitted that the order had been put in initially correctly by Dave, it has just been ordered wrong as it was not a standard size. Despite this, they did install bumpers and said I could use the shower, just be careful of the door, and they would call me when the correct door arrived. I waited the 48 hours and began to use the shower. Immediately I saw that the floor pan was not flush with the glass on the the wall without the door, and sagged in the middle with a gap of about 1/4" that allowed water to leak onto the floor. Upon my close inspection, i can see that the entire pan bows on that side and water puddles in the shower there also - it is unclear to me why they didn't level the floor prior to the installation. I called them and they said that "this sometimes happens" and one of the installers would swing back to add more caulking when they brought out the new door. Another week passed, and the installer came out to install the new door. Currently the door is now able to open without hitting my tub, which is good, but the seal on the bottom edge of the door on the handle side has a half inch gap where the water can leak out onto the floor. I called them again, and the installer said "we've noticed that some of the doors are not being manufactured correctly and we've complained about it - does it bother you?" I said that it does and they are ordering me a new door. That was three weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from them.

The company rep was late due to unexpected snowfall and slippery roads, but called ahead to let me know he would be late. Once he arrived, he initially seemed to be saying everything to encourage me to spend more money, but toned it down considerably based upon my reactions. In the end, he provided the information I requested with two types of estimates: full replacement and partial replacement. Both estimates seemed extremely high and were good for only 30 days. He also offered prices that were considerably higher than that (about 20% higher) which were good for 1 year. Before departing, he tried to get me to sign a contract. Through, he remained professional and very friendly, I just had a bad feeling talking with him and felt I could not trust him. I did not like the gutter protection offered; brackets go under the first or second row of shingle and are attached to the roof via a screw or nail of some sort; my biggest concern was the width of the brackets since they would actually force the shingle to rise off the roof by about 1/8th inch or more. I also did not like the 30 day and 1 year price offers. Despite the huge disparity between the two, it seemed primarily geared to try to get a signed contract on the spot. I had received estimates from 6 companies and this one was by far the most expensive. Although they offer a lifetime warranty, they are not the only to offer that warranty. I went with a company that offered the same warranty, but was 40% lower in price, and I felt much more comfortable with the company and its owner; seemed more interested in doing a good job than making a sale and relies on referrals vice pressure to get business.

I was very impressed with the work crew. They were very professional. It was three young men and they didn’t stand talking, smoking or goofing around. They got here; they worked, and got the job done. Everything was picked up. They took me around to show me everything that they had done and explained it all. I paid them and then they left. They certainly met my expectations. They are pretty busy and I had to schedule about 3-4 weeks ahead. It was pretty expensive but the quality is high. I would recommend them.
