Description of Work: Coordinated roof removal, reroofing, and additional insulation in roof. Replaced soffits, insulated exterior of the house, replaced 9 windows, re-sided the house, new exterior lamp fixtures and outlets.

Description of Work: Maison Builder's have completedseveral remodel projects in my home. The most recent project was to replace my existing windows with new Anderson windows to provide me with greater energy efficiency in my home.

Description of Work: Joe Maison of Maison Builders, LLC was the contractor we hired to demolish a cottage built in the 1920's and in its place, Mr. Maison built our retirement home (2,000 sq.ft.) complete with over sized two car garage and all the amenities of a modern home. Once the house was built, Joe was contracted to help restore a two story two car garage with a workshop. The latter included replacing the main support beam, putting in new windows, doors and re-wiring with a new panel.

Description of Work: Maison Builders completed an addition and extensive remodel of my ranch style home in 2005. The remodel involved excavating, foundation work, framing, siding and a new roof for the entire home. Changes to the interior of the home included major electrical and plumbing, new windows, drywall, tilework, skylight installation, new carpet, bamboo floors, painting, installation of a new kitchen and conversion of garage space to a beautiful new mudroom.

Description of Work: our biggest mistake was taking advice from friends on Joe Maisons character. It all started out well; we had a whole house remodel- outside( 28 windows, siding, garage door, columns ) He putthe facia on backwards , windows/ doors not straight or plum Ed. We put a French Door with stationary side windows I'n - he needed my daughter th help bring them off the truck, she installed the hardware- he had no idea how to install. All closest doors still have handles installed upside-down. We took 3 full baths down to the dirt with totally new designs in all. this all started due to mold- we still have water issues. The jettub has never been used due to the installation of aa tub with a needed water level that our wateheater can't hold.The plumbing co never woe give us an invoice on even 1 toilet, let alone the 3 tiled showers, tile &/ or wood food, or sinks, mirrors, faucets etc.'Were we dumb yes, but he kept threatening to walk away if he didn't get his check. We are also going to be speaking with the flooring, electrical, plumbers and all the others involved I'n this ffiasc. We spent 16 months, my partner spent the whole ti e on scene due to pets, and my daughter and I spent almost 3'months living I'n a motel at our cost! I have all the paperwork,I'm still so angry I cr. The limestone I'n the foyer was completely croutes by a yahoo who said" that's how we do it I'n Michigan". Now all bI clean is gout instead of seeing the beautiful marks and spaces made by time, and which I had paid extra for! My outswing French doors are inswing, because as the highly regarded window dealer contracted by the builder, " due to Michigan weather we don't install outswng. Again, indie speak up loudly but was pushed into something did notwant. And the LImestone foyer.....found out the tile installer was covering up the fact he had put about 1/2 the tiles in upside-down, and was trying to cover his tracks! The painter through this whole thing wasm"being our friend", he only put 2 coats of pInt instead of the 2 with primer that was agreed upon. He fused the primer as 1 oat, and still has not finished the last coat, and the finish painting on ALL inside &ousted doors. And the kicker is the respected business I'n town that all materials were sold through, is still making hand over fist money every day. We are angry, and don't have the money for an Atty, so all I can do is hope no one else goes through this. We chose Joe becAuse we thought he would be a great fit for our family and home: and my daughter could of had a beautiful wedding either at our beautiiful home, or we would still have the money to help her with this wedding Thanks Joe Maison Builder and his wife who called our home and threatened legal action if we didn't have a final check for $15,000., It was 2weeks lTe as it was coming from the selling of stock by a family member.
