VERY LOW QUALITY PLANTS, VERY LOW QUALITY IRRIGATION SUPPLIES...MAY PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY ARE RECEIVING. BEWARE!!!

I contacted Angie's List regarding the inaccuracies in this review and was told by a representative that Angie's List does not verify information of any review from a paid member. My recourse is a response on this site and/or legal. The Simaskos landscape project was completed 2 years ago......a 2016 Parade of Homes project which was finished over a week before required. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] told me how happy she was with her landscape the day I finished. She, in fact, stopped at our business location a week later to drop off a check and told my wife/secretary, it was beautiful & she was thrilled. In addition, we received many compliments from Parade visitors telling us it was one of the nicest landscapes on the Parade Tour. As with all of our projects the plant materials were personally selected from our wholesale nurseries - all landscape quality Michigan grown trees, shrubs & perennials. We use Hunter Pro Series irrigation products - all professional/industry standard. The lawn was seeded and fertilized initially in early June and, as part of our standard procedure, we returned 30 days later and over-seeded & fertilized again. We provided customer care instructions for the plant materials & lawn upon job completion. I received a phone call in mid-August from Mr. [Member Name Removed] requesting I stop by and look at his lawn - telling me he had fertilized the lawn and it had turned yellow. When I looked at his yard, it was obvious Mr. [Member Name Removed] had applied way too much fertilizer, consequently burning the lawn severely. He was advised to try and leach the fertilizer thru the soil by flooding it with the sprinkler system. We contacted the Simaskos three times (twice by phone & once by email) later in the season to inquire about the lawn and regarding winterizing their sprinkler system but did not receive a return call. TWO YEARS LATER.....we receive this 'review' stating that this landscape was completed in June 2018 - it was not. We have no idea (or maybe a very good one) how the landscape/irrigation has been maintained or not maintained. We install landscapes, we do not offer maintenance services. We advise our customers, if they are unable to do the required maintenance, they should hire a maintenance company of which there are many in our area. Anyone who gardens, realized proper & regular maintenance is required for a lovely & thriving landscape. We certainly cannot respond to someone who does not return our calls or ask us for help. Yet TWO YEARS LATER, we receive this very inaccurate & unfair review. We have customers who have been with us for 40 years and we take pride in our work. We used him every year and he is wonderful. Him and his wife are trustworthy.
Description of Work: We had hail damage and wind damage to our summer home. He came right out. We have used him for the past 15 years.

I would give him an A+ and he and his wife are just wonderful. His prices are comparable and the quality of his work is awesome. He is here when he says he will be here and he is a nice guy too.
Description of Work: He installed our sprinkler system and did some landscaping for me too. He comes to check on our irrigation system in the spring and fall. If I have had any issues or if I ask him to do anything extra, he will do that.

Randy and his crew are prompt and efficient. He pays attention to what we like and our budget and picks out good planting stock. He's very artistic in his arrangement of plants and gives us a planting list when he's done.
Description of Work: Remove and transplant sod, dig holes in clay and plant a tree, 20 shrubs, and many perennials. Manufacture and place three huge steps. Place several rocks and boulders. Provide and spread mulch.

Landscaping by Huffman is the only landscaper we have used in 12 years and I have no reason to change!
Description of Work: Landscaping by Huffman designed and planted shrubs, trees, flowers in our yard,put in a patio, and put in an irrigation system in 2001. We have used Randy Huffman every year since for maintance of the yard, planting new trees, flowers, and turning on and off the irrigation system. Randy always does an outstanding job, is punctual, and creative. We think of Randy as being an outstanding landscaper and highly recomend Landscaping by Huffman....are yard always looks beautiful! Every part of the both jobs went wonderfully from start to finish. We are very happy!
Description of Work: We have used Landscaping by Huffman twice. The first time we had 9 shrubs moved to a different part of the yard because the had gotten to large for where they were. It was raining the day they moved them. They did an awesome job. They cleaned up after they were done. Every shrub made it after the move. The second time we used them we had a large area around some of our shrubs along the property line dug out and mulch put down. The did a wonderful job. It looks beautiful and we have gotten many compliments on it. Again I was very impressed that they cleaned everything around where they were working. Randy and his crew were polite and very professional. We plan on using them again in the future. I highly recommend Landscaping by Huffman.

Were still trying to fix the problems they left.
Description of Work: Land scraping and Hydro seeding. They left the yard in a mess and us being 64 and 63 years old had to hire another contractor to clean up.
