Description of Work: We had our house built in 1995 by JB Construction. Within 10 years we had to have our roof completely replaced because we had a roof leak. We had specified sheathing to be 5/8". JB used 1/2". It couldn't hold the snow load. The nails let loose and roof started to leak. Removing old shingles is when we found out they had used only 1/2" sheathing. Also, we have a valley leak and it was determined that the sheathing used in the valley had nail holes with no nails. Valley leaked and behind food pantry (4')and 4'behind additional cupboards in kitchen had to be pulled and exterior sheathing on side of house as well as insulation required replacing. That incident happened in 2000. There were 5 individuals who had roofs put on by JB Construction in the same period of time that had to have roofs repair or totally roof replacement. I had to have the house resided because the siding didn't hold up. It faded and cracked NOT builders fault, however when original siding was removed I found out the house was less then 2/3 wrapped. I have photos where every opening, windows and doors, leaked because the house was not wrapped properly. I would certainly be willing to share the pictures with you. Please do not use this builder. A couple of excellent builders in the area are Kellis Construction and Action Builders.

Description of Work: They built a porch for me. This porch was the size of a small house. :) J & B ( Jeff & Bill ) came out and got it measured up, as well as went over with me on what we wanted done. Very polite, informative, and explained everything so I could understand it. Got a quote back within 24 hours. Did the job in a timely manor. I found out later they were also in the middle of another job. You would of never have guessed it, Definitely will call them again, if I need anything else done. Great bunch of guys.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, the time for us to remodel our house came out of necessity. Our home needed to have the ground flood on one level to accommodate my dependence on a wheel chair. Knowing a bunch of people in our community I figured I would have no trouble finding the help I needed to take on this task. I know nothing about construction. Well, after a nightmare with other people, I called my local Lumber yard; Brown Lumber, explained to JW my problem and he sent over a couple of contractors. One was okay, but Bill and Jeff from J&B Construction showed up and to be honest, I didn't care as much as how much it would cost, but if I was okay with them. They are proof positive that angels do indeed live among us!! Not only were they able to fix the mistakes that had been made in the drawings, but they were willing to work with us as to how much we wanted to do ourselves to cut costs. They didn't insist on using their own teams (drywallers, electricians, plumbers,etc.). They understood what I wanted, what I needed and what was required. There are more projects coming up for this house as my needs will dictate and I have already told them, whatever I need, they are the only ones I would use for anything. They explained everything to me without talking down to me, and took my nightmare and made my home into the place the high schools call "the cool house"....Thank you J&B
