Description of Work: Twice now, Home Depot was happy to take my money for carpet installation, only to have me wait several weeks for the install, and both times my house was left in a state of disrepair for multiple days since the job paid for could not actually be done without further alterations. This was not the installers fault, they recognized what Home Depot should have before taking the job. For the last $1,600 job my house was left with bare floors and exposed tack strips for 2 days because they refused to continue until I tore out my marble foyer which was a first anniversary gift for my wife. I have 3 young children, one of which has 3 puncture wounds from stepping on the strips during one of the nights. I had to call them twice, and finally go in to make my expectations clear before I was given 2 hours notice from the installers that they were coming. Home Depot never offered any condolences or made any service recovery efforts. I will not cease to share my experiences with everyone it is applicable to, and will no longer exclusively use ryobi tools. You've lost a customer who spends thousands on home improvements, building materials and tools annually, and have gained a voice of adamant criticism due to your negligence and lack of care for your customers.

 + -1 moreAfter taking the old door off, they discovered dry rot and no insulation in the surrounding area. They fixed all the wood and lined it all with new insulation, sealed it all around, and made it weather tight. Did a great job.
Description of Work: Replaced the steel entry door and installed a storm door.

 + -1 moreNothing regarding this process went smoothly. I was initially over-charged by Home Depot, though after a few phone calls and multiple transfers, I was credited for over-charge. The install date was estimated at 4 weeks out and the actual install didn't occur for 7 weeks. I had made multiple calls to our local Home Depot starting at about week 3 to understand order status and install date - most of the time I never received a call back and when I did, was told dates are just estimates and that was all they could tell me. Home Depot subcontracts all laminate work to a 3rd party - in this case, it was a company called Michigan Kitchen Products. I received a call on Friday of the 5th week indicating the countertops were ready and would be delivered to my garage on the following Tuesday. After Tuesday, their installer was to call to schedule the actual installation. The installer called on Wednesday saying he didn't know when he could do the install, but probably would be the following Monday or Tuesday. I explained that I needed to know when as I needed to coordinate a plumber, etc. He said no problem - he would let me know asap. No call from him until Sunday evening at 5 pm, basically saying he could probably do it Tuesday afternoon between 3 and 4. Excellent. Tuesday afternoon at 3pm passes and no show. I call the installer - he won't arrive until 6. They finally arrived at about 6:15 and worked until about 8 installing the countertops. Left saw dust mess all over my kitchen and garage and left trash in the garage. I had actually called Home Depot on Monday morning to complain about the scheduling, but of course they haven't returned my call. Overall, this has been a terrible experience and one I will not repeat with Home Depot.
Description of Work: We purchased laminate countertops with integrated sink from Home Depot. The total purchase price included the countertops, sink, and installation.
