Grand Traverse Garage Door

I first called them around Nov, 2014 or so last year because my garage door opener was not working. The person I spoke to, Tammy, I wrote her name down, said it could be a broken spring or the opener. So I told her to have the workman bring along a garage door opener if it wasn't the springs because I would have him install the opener while he was there and told her to have him call me on the date of service before he went there. I was not called but got a $100.00 bill for oiling the track and wheels. I called them to complain because could have done that myself and wanted to know why I wasn't called regarding the door as I had asked. The person I spoke to was very apologetic and I paid the bill although I was ticked off, but the door was working, it had apparently reset by itself. In Oct of this year the door would not open again and I told Tammy or Kate to have the serviceman bring an opener, again, in case it was not the springs. The workman got there and after looking at the door said it was the opener and that he would have to come back again. I asked him if the gal who answers the phone told him to bring an opener as I had asked and he said no. He was very apologetic but I told him that I would not call them again to fix it. I wanted it fixed that day, while I was there. I live 250 miles away from my up north home. I don't like to have workmen do work while I am not there because I have had too many bad experiences so I want to be there to oversee what is going on. When I told him I wanted to speak to the owner he said the owner lives in Cadillac and he was the manager and he ran the Traverse City location. I later found out this was not true. I would never call them again for service, ever.
