+ -1 moreIt took a while to get his service. He seemed to do a good job. We did have to finish up the work ourselves. There was some finishing work that we had to do after it was installed. The price was pretty much on a par with everybody else. We were kind of hoping to get a little bit cheaper. So far, we haven't had any problems.
Description of Work: We had someone install a patio door. It was Homestead Construction.

+ -1 moreBrian was terrific. He took right over, solved several issues, including the missing footings. Was easy to work with and did everything to make the job come in on schedule. and on budget. Top quality materials and top quality workmanship. We hired Brian again to make custom counter tops and they were perfect.
Description of Work: Made the mistake of purchasing a modular home from Heckaman Homes of Indiana, through Marty Pinna of carriage custom Homes in Buckley Mi. Nothing but trouble from the get go. Marty was unable or unwilling to process permits and perform his responsibilities in a timely manner resulting in long delays and construction issues. He knowingly allowed construction to start without necessary foundation footings and misrepresented various aspects of finishing the house after it was set. Wanted to have carpenters and others who were "moonlighting" complete the work on the house. Would not provide to me blueprints, or estimates from his subs. so I had no way to know what I wanted done would be done as I wanted. After two months of issues, I fired him as general contractor and hired Brian Childs.
