They did an excellent job and were very professional. The unit that they recommended works very well and was reasonably priced. I would be happy to use them again.

Everything was terrific. I paid $148 for a service call/evaluation to see if this would work. I had researched gas inserts beforehand. I had this company come out and evaluate a fireplace in a 1972 colonial. I used their recommendations and ordered a gas insert. Our family room used to be so cold. When they installed the insert, it completely solved the problem. Now we can use the family room in winter, too.

Great! The team at Dr Flue provide excellent service starting with good customer service when calling and returning calls as needed. They show up on time and respect our home (and our dogs) by wearing foot protection and cleaning up. They are very knowledgeable, describe what they are doing, clearly explain any issues, and provide good documentation of the service to include photos. We value their professionalism, their recommendations and will continue to request their services in the future.

Mike and Dustin came out today and were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They adjusted the flame so, cleaned the glass, cleaned off the pilot, explained everything I needed to know and took a bunch of photos for my file so that if anything needs repair in the future they'd have all the necessary information. These guys have it together. Look no further.

Our gas fireplace had not been working for 4 years. We had 2 other professional companies look at our fireplace and they left scratching their heads and telling us we would have to replace our entire insert and surrounding brick and tile fireplace. We read all of the wonderful testimonials about Doctor Flue and set up an appointment. Mike and Dustin arrived, on time, cheerful, thoughtful and protective of our flooring, and began their inspection. After dismantling our gas insert, they ordered a part that they thought would fix the problem. When they returned on another day to try the part, they were again, on time, cheerful, professional, and considerate of our home (even giving extra love and attention to our old pup)... you cannot imagine our surprise and HAPPINESS that our 4-years-dormant fireplace was now ablaze again! So we went from thinking we would either 1. never have a fire again or 2. have to tear down and rebuild our fireplace to the cost of $5000 or more.... We are so grateful for Doctor Flue, and we feel especially blessed to have had Mike and Dustin as our service providers. I can only imagine that everyone on staff is equally competent, respectful, and experienced! WE highly, highly recommend this company!

They were on time and friendly but went right to work. They gave me overall assessment of issues and quote to fix them. The work was done efficiently and quietly. Not sure until it was a whole but service good.

They stated they had to come out and perform a service call to review the problem. We were charged $148 for the service call then presented with a $502 repair cost. We agreed to the repairs and after 3 weeks waiting for parts they returned and performed the work. The fireplace worked for three days and we then reported the fireplace would not light, and asked for a service call. They said they would charge us another $148 service call fee to determine the problem, then the additional costs to repair the parts required after they diagnosed the problem over the phone. When we questioned the charges for another service call, and asked them why they would not simply bill us for the parts they needed and install them as part of the original work order since the fireplace was not operational and they had not mentioned the need for the additional parts of service call fees when they were here, we agreed to get a proposal. After reviewing the proposal we sent it back signed and expected to get scheduled. Instead we got a letter from the owner accusing us of threatening their staff and blackmailing there company to complete the repairs, when we did nothing more than inquire with some frustration as to why we were being charged yet again so soon for additional service fees beyond the repair parts. The letter stated a definition of the word blackmail, and the quote "The use of threats or the manipulation of someone's feeling to force them to do something", and that our inquiries and discussion amounted to their company being part of a business transaction of an "illegal nature". All because we questioned their service fees and asked for them to reduce the cost of an additional service call fee, if they were going to charge us, because our fireplace still doesn't work. Not only is this company acting ridiculously, but they accused my wife of blackmail and threats. Since when does a customer not have the right to inquire back about services performed when they feel they have not been treated fairly? I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

Soot was coming out of the top of the glass screen and the screen was blackened out from the issue. Jacob & Jason are personable and knowledgeable technicians who fixed the problem, great guys!

Dr. Flue sent Jacob and Jason to inspect our chimney. It went very well. Very professional and knowledgeable. They were also very thorough in the explanation of the problem with our chimney and why it was leaking, provided pictures, and sent an email proposal for work with detailed explanation of what needed to be done. We really liked them and were very impressed.

Our appointment was originally scheduled for late January, but we asked to be contacted if anything opened up. They kept us in mind and were able to fit us in earlier than expected. They pointed out (and were able to document) some future issues that we intend to take care of in the spring. Great experience all around!

Kevon and Doc came out within a week due to a cancellation and fixed the problem without having to replace the valve. They cleaned up the log set, adjusted the burner and gave us a set of possible improvements should we decide to purchase them. They sent pictures and estimates to my email. Absolutely great work!
