Everything went very smoothly. The crew showed up on time, did the work quickly, and were pleasant and professional. Very happy with the work and my life time warranty on our new chase cover. Would definitely hire them again!

I called this morning to see if we should reschedule because of snow on the roof. I was told they no longer service the Columbus area because of labor problems. The man with whom I spoke was polite, said he could see I had scheduled 221 days ago, and said that they should have called to let me know. I will try to find a local company.

My initial involvement with Doctor Flue was positive - they responded to my request for a quote in a reasonable time frame, sent a professional team and wrote up a very clear quote, complete with an analysis and pictures. As a result, we scheduled them to complete some work - we were told a tentative date and that we were on the list to get our work done sooner, so they would confirm. They never actually contacted us again. In the meantime, due to issues outside our control, we ended up having to cancel the work. And this is where things went south very quickly. Both my husband and I contacted Doctor Flue (over phone and email) to try to get information about the cancellation policy and to understand the fees. I received incredibly unhelpful and rude emails and my husband was told they "didn't have time to deal with us" and was hung up on. My requests to speak to someone in management was denied, but we were quick to get a bill in the mail for the 33% cancellation fee the next day. For total clarity, this negative review is not about the cancellation fee. I understand that I foolishly signed a contract and have to live with the result. What this review is about is the way that my husband and I were treated once we cancelled. I shudder to think what it might have been like dealing with them if the work was completed and something went wrong. This review is simply a "buyers beware" to anyone that might be considering their services.

Nick and Cavin were wonderful - very personable and very thorough with their work! I would gladly recommend Dr. Flue to anyone who needs chimney service!

Mike was very knowledgeable and did the work expertly while training a new worker. I would have him come out and work on it if ever I need service again.

It went great! Keevan & Jason were very professional and did a great job! Keevan took the time to explain what he did and what he found in the cleaning. He took lots of pictures to document. Keevan found some repairs that need to be done. I feel he was honest enough to let us know what the priorities were. He wrote up an estimate and did not pressure me for a commitment. He answered all of my questions and let me know if I had any more questions or needed further explanation, to not hesitate contacting him. The service was excellent! We plan to have them come back out in the spring to do our repairs. Thank you!

Excellent work done in a timely manner.

Never occurred. They rescheduled twice and when they finally came they called me at work and left because I couldn't answer. my husband saw them in the driveway and stepped out to wave them in, the technician waved back and left. We called the office and the tech had lied and said he left multiple messages via phone so he left. Very unprofessional. Very rude.

They were impressive. Even took time to put booties on. He was knowledgeable and professional in explaining the issue we were having the light ...Extremely careful and explaining everything. Even went outside to check the venting system to make sure it was free of debris and animals. The problem was fixed. Said that we might need a new valve the future, but ours was working fine. Kevon and Jason were very professional and kind. They did a great job.

I finally contacted Doctor Flue. After dealing with water inside my fireplace for almost two years, the issue no longer exists. I wish I had called Doctor Flue the first time because they resolved all of my chimney and fireplace issues, worth every penny, very high quality workmanship and very professional. They provided me with the most thorough evaluation of my chimney and fireplace that no one else has ever done. They discovered more than one factor causing the water to leak inside the fireplace. Everything is now fixed, I cannot express what a relief it is to not have any water come into the fireplace no matter how hard it rains. I will always recommend Doctor Flue to anyone having issues with their chimney.

I found everything I wanted to find out for that, and when I paid the bill, then they wanted me to do some improvements. They gave me prices for hour rates that was completely double the going rate, and I didn't use them. Overall is tough.They did a good job. They had cameras and checked it up and down. I saw pictures, and got my money very well there. They started giving me prices for fixes, and they were way way high, so I didn't use them. They came when they said.

It went really well and we were extremely happy. The old insert was a monster to move--large and very heavy. Mike and his assistant carried it through all the doorsills with millimeters of clearance and with no damage to our interiors. Throughout the afternoon, they were meticulously clean and there was no soot or debris left behind. The gas lines and flue liners were put in place and the insert positioned within the fireplace opening. Although they had not installed this Jotul model before, they had clearly planned ahead of time and were very conversant with the specifics of the set up and the two men worked together as a great team. They were both courteous and helpful and as soon as they left (although it was a late summer afternoon), we fired up our new insert and enjoyed getting familiar ourselves with this great new product.

Very well. Excellent communication. Prompt arrival for both service dates. Personable and professional. Talked to me about options. Listened to me. Helped me arrive at a good decision for my situation. Did not waste time but I did not feel rushed. I will recommend this company to my friends and family. AAAAA all the way across.

Jake and Jason arrived on time, and were polite and friendly. They were respectful of my home and property. After inspecting my chimneys they shared their findings and made their recommendation that one needed cleaning and the other did not. They answered all my questions. They are welcome to come back to my home next year!

Well. They did a good job explaining what they were seeing and what needed to be done.

Great. On time, very professional, layer down drop clothes, cleaned up when they were finished. Nick explained what he was doing, gave me several suggestions about care for the fireplace. While he was cleaning, Jason climbed a ladder and did a thorough check of the chimney. Nick and Jason worked quickly and did a great job. They put me on a schedule for a year cleaning. Definitely will hire again.

The cost was high at over $150/hr. Approximately one year later, the cap fell off the top of the chimney. I called the company to check it out as they had done the last work on the chimney. I was told it would cost $150 for a service call just to see if the company had done anything incorrectly. If they had it would be re-installed for free. This company charges very high fees. I would not recommend this company.

Great! Jake and Jason were prompt and courteous and did a great job cleaning the fireplaces (one of which was horribly dirty). They put drop cloths down and wore little booties in the house, which we wouldn't expect but did appreciate since we have a big white rug near the fireplace. They were able to identify several issues that were happening and needed maintenance, including a completely broken masonry wall. We hired them on the spot to come back and do all yearly maintenance and fix all the necessarily repairs.

Service was absolutely excellent and they did a great job not only cleaning in validating the existing fireplace but making sure that in installing the new safety valve and remote that everything worked perfectly and was ready to go. Customer service was also excellent communication and transparency were very high.
