Excellent service. This company is not inexpensive but offers services others do not, such as internal video inspection. This inspection helped us learn of internal damage we would not have discovered otherwise. We will use this company for repairs and/or alterations. Gave a senior discount.

Excellent, clean and professional

Our chimney had been leaking during rain storms and we attempted to have it fixed through another company. After the other company did not fix it, we called Dr. Flue. We were a little skeptical about the up front service charge, but figured that we'd rather have somebody come out and look at it, and they had such a high rating on Angie's List. The person I talked to on the phone to schedule the appointment was extremely nice and explained everything that would happen for the service call, before they would make any repairs. She was thorough and very polite. The day of the service, Doc and Mike actually showed up about 30 minutes early. This would be my only complaint. Usually, contractors and service providers are always showing up late (I have horrible luck with this), so this was a nice surprise. But seeing as it was 8:45 in the morning, I'd have liked a phone call to let me know they would be there so early. The gentlemen were extremely nice and got straight to work. Doc was definitely not trying to sell me anything additional, and even was very honest in work that just flat out didn't need to be done - which always makes me appreciate when something really does need to be done, that I can trust his opinion. His repairs took about 15 minutes and he even gave me a quote for additional work down the road if we'd like to have it preformed at a later date. I am hopeful that he was able to stop our leaking chimney and would have no hesitation to call him again for any future (though hopefully not needed) work. Thanks guys!

Communication with the office was very poor (even though Lisa and Carol were both VERY nice) and it was a headache trying to schedule an appointment. The other reviews were excellent so I decided to give them a chance anyways. The guys were great... they wore plastic booties to avoid getting dirt all over the floor. Very professional, very informative.... I already recommended Dr Flue to a co-worker.... I really hope the communication issues are solved. I'd definitely use them again!

Everything went well. The inspection turned up a mortar joint that needed patched. This was done immediately after finding it; for a small fee.

The men arrived early performed service in a timely fashion and are reasonably priced.

Work performed was acceptable. Responsiveness after receiving the quote was poor, required multiple phone calls to accept quote and set up date for work.

We hired Dr. Flue last year to install a chimney liner in our house that was built in the mid 1800's. Kevon was extremely helpful and informative when we were getting estimates. The first time they came out, the liner got stuck in a kink in the brickwork of the chimney. They capped the chimney so rain would not get in, cleaned up and rescheduled for the next available date. They brought different duct work and Kevon's Dad came with that crew. They had to do a lot to get the liner in, were pleasant the entire time and did not charge for any of the extra things they had to do to make the whole thing work. The total cost was about $3000.00. We had them back this year to clean the Chimney. Jake was the tech in charge and he explained what he was checking for then got right to work. They were very efficient and courteous and showed respect for myself and my home. The cost for the inspection and cleaning was about $230. They also looked at an old stove setup we have in another location in the house and informed us that a section of the pipe was corroded to the point of being dangerous. We decided that we would forgo the $200 estimate for fixing it since we rarely used it anyway.

Very thorough inspection of chimney with computerized camera. The owner's son was very helpful and informative in helping us choose the best option for our house. Glad to have picked the made in America Lopi Liberty model woodstove with a glass door and option for cooking on top. They were punctual and left the work area as they found it. We've had the new stove for a year now and are very happy with the purchase. Some difficulty with the handle was resolved promptly when they came back to clean the chimney. I would highly recommend dealing with this company.

Jake & Mike were 15 min early. They explained what they were going to do, performed all the services, & then sat down with us to go over the repairs they noticed we needed. They were very professional in every aspect.

Requested an inspection and Dr. Flue promptly contacted me to set up an appointment. The gentlemen performed a thorough inspection, and unable to find any problem with the chimney, made a recommendation to open the walls to see if there is another cause of the dampness surrounding the chimney. I appreciated their professionalism and honesty.

To start of the day, Nick did call to inform of us that they were going to be arriving about 10 minutes late due to traffic, which was completely unexpected to hear from them letting us know they would be arriving late. When they did arrive, they brought the drop clothes and equipment needed to clean the chimney and they also completely cleaned out the wood burner. Something that we didn't expect to be done at no additional charge. He also offered to show us what needed to be done on the roof as to some of the flashing is coming loose. Nick and Cory are very knowledgeable of the cleaning and inspection of chimneys. Nick informed us that we did have a chimney fire in the wood burning chimney that we were not aware of and told us not use it till repaired. He talked about the different ways to fix the chimney and that they would help with any insurance claim if needed. We are now waiting for the estimate for work to fix the problem. We highly recommend them to anyone in the area that are looking for a chimney sweep.

Jake and Cory arrived a few minutes past the appointment time BUT did call about 10 mins. before the scheduled time to say they were tied up in construction traffic. I consider this very important that service people call if they think they will be late. They score high marks on this factor. When they arrived they put booties over their shoes and went straight to work. They fixed the original problem quickly and were very professional. They did discover another issue which I trust is a problem and they will be back with the part to install. I would definitely recommend and use this company again.

They were courteous, kind and friendly enough to regard me as a real person. After some of the workers I have had since I became a widow in 1991, I could probably say without trying to be funny – practically perfection personified – great guys!

They answered the questions I had, and ensured that there was nothing wrong with the sealing of the area in question. They worked to ensure everything was ok. They poured a chimney cap for me, and extended the flue for a wood burning fireplace as well. They do quality work, are reliable, efficient, come when they say they will, and are great at cleaning up. I trust them personally. I do not ever worry that they are giving me information I don't need or trying to up sell me.

An estimate was thoroughly explained. I committed to the job, They ordered the part, set a date then installed it as they said they would.
