Great work-very knowledgeable & professional. Cautious in trying to protect floors, rugs, etc. Cleaned up mess well when finished...felt cost was a little high on original quote compared to others, but felt these guys know what they were doing. Only ones to use camera inspection for quote too. Chimney works well finally.

They called me and advised that they would be 15 to 20 minutes late due to traffic. They arrived and started to work on the chimney. Removed cap, took pictures of inside, looked great and then put on new stainless steel cap. Time was under two hours.

Excellent. Receptionist explained what I needed. Workmen – on time, professional, clean, and explained everything very well. The quote for repair of the chimney is the only one received and no work has been done yet.

The guys, Jacob & Sean, were very nice and professional. They performed the inspection right away and gave me good news that the chimney didn't need to cleaned. They inspected the part of the chimney that is above the roof. I was given quotes on a liner to stop condensation and decay inside the chimney and a quote on a new chimney cap which is showing signs of water penetration, moss and decay. They said the conversion looked good. They also helped me with questions I had about changing out the doors/mesh at the opening of the fireplace and sent me a timely email with price quotes.

Nick and Casey are a couple of stand up professionals. They did a thorough video inspection and cleaning of my fireplace and chimney. I was informed of some concerns and offered options. I highly recommend and will use again.

They ordered parts and fabricated the cap. They had a problem with the part but did a temp fix while the part was being ordered and that definitely fixed the leak. I would definitely use them again.

The technician was on time and did a good job. However, they are getting expensive for their particular field. I will use them again only if they lower the price!

Overall good experience. Called to see if they could come over earlier than scheduled, which worked out fine. Checked to make sure all was working correctly on a gas fireplace and inspected the chimney. Price seams a bit high for the 30 min they were here but the fireplace ended up not having any issues to deal with.

Nice & Cory did a great job. I will ask to have them back to do service in future.

. Jake and Cory were friendly, knowledgeable and took time to inform us about our chimney. The only thing is they told us they will send us an email regarding their proposal for fixing our chimney in about a week and we haven't heard anything yet.

We called Dr. Flue because we had them come out a couple years ago to check our chimney/flue to make sure it was going to be safe to use. It was. So when we decided to convert our woodburning fireplace to a gas fireplace, of course we call them again. Different story this time. A salesman came out the first part of November and went over different option and was told that if we accepted one of the options within a couple days of receiving the quote we could have the work done by the end of the year. We were happy with what they detailed to us and asked them to provide us a black and white quote for the options we were interested in. They said great, they'd have it to us in a couple weeks. A month late, nothing. So I called them to find out where it was and could they please have the finance person call me to go over options with that as well. I was told that the salesman would be called and the quotes would be sent immediately and a message would be given to the finance person to call me. The next day I had quotes for different options emailed to me. They were not only NOT the options we spoke of, they were not even for my home and the finance person had still NOT called. About a week later, I received new correct quotes and the finance person had still NOT called me. By the time we received the correct quotes, it was the middle of December and was told the even if they received a signed contract the next day, they were so busy that they wouldn't be able to make to our house until the end of January/first of February and I have still NOT received a call from the finance person. Well....after all of that, I told them what they could do with their services and we would find someone else who wanted our business bad enough to send the right information to me and to return phone calls. No....I will never call them again. And my son just purchased a home with a woodburning fireplace who will not be using Dr Flue to sweep his chimney either.

Jake left message that they could arrive an hour earlier if acceptable – which it was. They are conscientious, clean, professional, and friendly.

My first chimney inspection was Jan 2013 after we moved into this new home. The first team recommended we have the chimney inspected again during this summer after our first use. I scheduled the 2nd inspection for July 2013 and another team came out. The job should have cost about $188, but the 2nd team saw there was no need for this second inspection and gave me half off. I found them to be very honest and apologetic for having done this second visit when it was not really needed at all. I felt the company showed integrity when they could have easily said nothing and taken the full amount. THANK YOU FOR THE HONESTY!!!

Mike introduced Cory and they got right to work. They were very pleasant and explained what they were doing. Price was given over the phone before service so I know what to expect to pay depending on the condition of the unit and chimney.

Did not go as planned or expected but I can not blame the company. Angies List listed the provider as having Free Estimates and that is not exactly accurate. I made the initial contact via email through Angies List believing this was true. When they called to schedule, they got my wife who arranged the time. She was told about the $ 128 estimate fee over the phone but I said they were wrong because of the Angies List write-up. We ended up being billed the $128 after the visit. The misunderstanding was on my part so I am not going to press the issue. Here is what you should know and I think the Angies List write-up needs to say: Free Estimate - If you send them pictures of all the problem areas via email and they email an estimate back If they come out, they charge $128 that can be redeemed from the bill if they do the work Overall, I had three estimates performed. Two estimates for cap/crown repair in the $200-300 range and no other work suggested or concerns raised. Doctor Flu found several issues (cracks, hole in flashing, etc) with multiple estimates ( around 1000 total if all work was performed). I am going to have to go back to the other companies and get second opinions on the other work proposed by Doctor Flu so I can compare accurately. Not that I don't trust Doctor Flu but I don't have an apples to apples comparison to make an good decision. Hope this write-up helps other Angies List members avoid misunderstandings.

They declined to do an on-site estimate without our paying for a $100+ interior chimney inspection that we had done, by them, already last year. (Alternatively they said I could take pictures of the chimney and email them over.) I hired a different company who would come out and do the estimate without our having to pay for an irrelevant and unnecessary service.

Doc and Mike arrived promptly at the expected time and went to work immediately. They performed the necessary work to high quality including clean up.

Kevon was on time, was very polite answered all my questions very efficient & tidy very polite.

They did their job as contracted.

Arrived on time explained flue and explained procedure then produced to promptly complete their work within one hours.

Showed up on time workers pleasant & knowledgeable worked efficiently & finished on time as i had to leave for another appointment which i had previously told them about cleaned up area when done.
