I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Flue. (Advice - schedule an appointment way in advance - e.g., schedule a fireplace check-up in June. :-) I was blown away by the service and professionalism of Dr. Flue. The technicians that fixed my gas fireplace were Kevon and Dave. Before they arrived, I received an email with Kevon's photo so that I could confirm his identity when he arrived. They listened very carefully to my explanation of the problems. When they finished, they thoroughly explained everything that they had found and did. Their summary included so many photos that I was reminded of a DIY manual. All in all, I felt they treated me with the utmost of professionalism and did a great job.

Expectations met and exceeded for the retirement of a very old, unsafe burning stove here. Kevon explained and guided the initial process which led me to my selection for new. Doc and Jacob had the biggest part in removal/install. There were no surprises, everything went as explained & planned, all within the budget. Much thanks to this company, there’s no doubt they are experts in this field.

Great. Logs were replaced in proper position. Only complaint was it took a while to get an appointment so they must be very busy.......a good sign, however

I found Kevon Binder and Walter Brown to be quite professional and very polite. They explained what they were doing and why, They covered their shoes as well as putting a trap of sorts in front of the fireplace to prevent soot from getting on my floor. Bryce and Scott were knowledgeable and professional. They were quick but still meticulous and did a great job all around.

Dr. Flue is a very professional organization that performed very good work installing my wood burning stove. They were punctual and did everything they promised they would do. I would hire them again.

The guys who came out were very helpful and friendly. They explained their procedure thoroughly. They barely made a mess but, they cleaned everything up when they were finished working. They even spent an extra ten minutes looking at the old wood stove in the basement! Great job and I'm glad we got their opinion that the fan is completely unnecessary. Saved us a bunch of money and hassle.

We were worried because gas line could not be run exactly where it needed to be for the insert, but it was no problem. Within a couple hours they installed chimney liner, cap, box and logs, and sent us YouTube handy tutorials of our newly installed fireplace. Nice!

Great company. This service call was only for a yearly check on my gas fireplace, but in addition Kevon went up on my roof to make sure the work they did on my chimney last year was still in good shape. They are prompt, efficient, and extremely thorough sending pictures of all their work step by step. Highly recommend.

Their inspection was thorough, but their estimate was very high. I will use someone else.

Keevon came back to do the chimney repairs that were quoted in December. Keevon and Jason did a great job (again!). We added on a chimney sweep & service when the appointment was made for the chimney repair. Our CO alarm had gone off and we were concerned it was due to the fireplace. They determined our house needed a whole home ventilation system installed. Our new windows had created an air tight house. Keevon offered and did speak with the heating and cooling company (Accu-Temp-another great company!) to explain the situation and what was needed. We so appreciated that Keevon took the time to do this!

The chimney flue was repaired and the chimney inspected in July. I had then come back the end of August to replace the cement chimney crown, tuck point the chimney above the roof line and install a flue damper cap.

Did a very good job. Spent the time needed, didn't feel rushed. Didn't up-sell to the cleaning I wanted done because it wasn't cleanable. Only inconvenience was they showed up before the scheduled time. The report was nice too.

We have been working with Dr. Flue for several years and have had great experiences every time.We are the "call us before the season begins and get a better rate" list - they call ed us in June to set up a cleaning and inspection in August. Date never changed, specific time was confirmed several days in advance and they arrived a few minutes early, even. Techs have been friendly and professional, no hard sells for additional work, but a thorough inspection (pictures to document are provided). Ethically very solid -- told us no need to come back next year, but in two years we should clean again and maybe have some re-pointing done (if necessary then). We look forward to hearing from Dr. Flue in 2020.

The communication is excellent: they called a few days prior(as promised when I first bookee the appointment), and Jason gave me a window for the appointment. On the day of, he called prior to that window tonlet me know his actual arrival time. As for quality: they were thorough and explained exactly what they were doing, what they saw and explained clearly. Everything we discussed was emailed to me in a PDF(along with photos) within minutes after they finished. Very polite and courteous, the fireplace has never looked as clean either! Had them quote to replace my rusted chimney cap, expect to schedule that soon.

I called Doctor Flue to set up an appointment for an estimate to repair my chimney. I was told it was $168.00 just for them to come and look at it. It says right here on their Angie's List page that their estimates are free??? I have decided to choose another company that actually follows their business policies.

As always, they were punctual, did an excellent job cleaning and repairing and were great people. We deeply appreciate their excellent work and their kindness and consideration to us.

I didn't know if I should call roofer or inspector as I knew there was water getting into my fireplace via the chimney. I could hear it. The roof is 2 years old and the company that did it shouldve noticed my chimney cap was damaged. It was very obvious. These guys came in, took before and after pictures and fixed it right the first time. The cap had to be made as it was not standard so the price was higher than expected but very well worth it. Good Company
