Good price, professional installation! I had furnace and AC units installed this week and couldn't be happier with it. I was surprised they were able to install them just days after it was quoted. The installation team was there when they said they would be, were pleasant and reviewed the install before they started. They explained the functionality & maintenance of each product when they were done, and the site was as clean when they left as it was when they started. The furnace is so quiet, I hardly know it's on! They were friendly to my dogs and when the cat spazzed out and fled into the basement they stopped everything to help find him. This is the second furnace I've bought from them, and I highly recommend you give them a call!

I have contacted R & L Heating & Cooling Inc several times and spoke with Andy, who is the manager. He refuses to send anyone out to address the issues I am currently encountering with the items they installed, despite me having purchased a warranty from them. He refuses to acknowledge the fact that I purchased a warranty, and will not provide me with any receipts or paperwork for their service, or the units they installed. The work was done through a city rehabilitation program that hired a contractor who subcontracted R & L to perform the service. In contacting R & L to provide me with receipts and paperwork, they refuse to do so, insisting I have to go through the city or the contractor. I believe this is occurring because I had submitted a negative review for them for when they intially performed the installation. I gave them a negative review at that time because $2300 cash went missing from my home when they were there. I had that money in my home because I was a Girl Scout cookie mom, and the other mom's in the group brought the money to me from the cookie sales. Normally the money would have been deposited, but I had just not gotten to the bank yet. I brought the missing money to the attention of R & L. I merely asked them if they had seen it, moved it, or knew about it. They turned around and were very aggressive in saying I was accusing them of stealing. They said I was lying and would not perform any sort of investigation.
Description of Work: They previously installed an A/C unit, furnace, and hot water tank. They did the installation in 2013. The units came with a 10-year manufacturers warranty, and I purchased an additional 5-year warranty from R & L Heating & Cooling Inc. for their labor.

This is a company that is not a reliable and honest company. This company did work in my home and then the employee stole money from my home. The owner and manager didn't take respnsiblity in the very least. They didn't even apologize for the situation, let along own up to it. The bad thing was that the money was girls scout money for the troops cookies. A non profit organization and they didn't even care. I have let it go, because karma always returns on wrong doings. I would NOT trust their employees in my house ever. You would think they were bonded, NOT.

On 3-12-13 our techs were in her home for 7.5 hours installing a new HVAC system and she was present, saw the new installation, signed off on the completion and never once mentioned anything about money being hidden in the area that we were working. On Sat, March 30, 2013 THIRTEEN days after work was done she called our answering service & asked for our insurance info. On Monday April 1 we called & asked her why she needed our ins. info. She said one of our worker's stole $2,300 that her ex husband hid for her. We asked her if she filed a police report & that would be necessary to file a claim. On April 3, 2013 she phoned in a police report & stated that she had a dispute with the Girl Scouts over some cookies so she took the money out of the Girl Scout account & brought it home for safekeeping. She stated that her ex husband who lives in her home hid the money for her. The police did not act upon her report, and no insurance claim was filed. She then refused to let the city inspectors into her home to inspect all the home improvement work she had done hoping that she could force us into paying her. She held up $15,600 worth of payments to various contractors because this was a community development job & money could not be released until inspections were completed. We had to attend a meeting with the city & [member name removed]. After the meeting the city sent her a letter dated June 26, 2013 stating that she must have the inspections completed and there was no merit to her claim. On August 26, 2013 the city released the payments for her job. She postponed everyone's money for six months. Our company told her about the community program and we also got her a $500 utility rebate check that she cashed. She asks for an apology from us. It is she who should apologize to the Girl Scouts for being petty & removing money from their account. She should also apologize to all the workers who had to wait six months to get paid. [member name removed] is trying to blame others for her incompetency. I regret having to write this response but I cannot let someone ruin our hard earned reputation with their spiteful comments. If she had a problem with our work we would do everything in our power to make it right, but she is trying to cost us business because she couldn't collect on our insurance. I chose another company to do the work only because I had previous history with that company and new their great reputation first hand. However, R and L was an extremely close 2nd choice. When calling the office, the help was very professional, yet friendly and call-backs by the salesman were done in a timely fashion. The salesman was on time for the appointment, thorough, believable and I especially liked the fact that he carried samples of the actual products you may be interested in buying, in his truck; you were able to see the actual products, their sizes and their features. The overall experience was very good.

My family including two young daughters(ages 9 months and 26 months) woke up to a cold home on Christmas morning. It was tough to hold it together and not get frustrated. In true form to the season it was like a moment out of the holiday classic and quot;A Christmas Storyand quot; while I was downstairs tinkering with the furnace and trying to remind myself that there are many people who have much farther reaching and complicated issues to deal with on Christmas. My wife being the level headed woman that she is asked if it's possible to get someone out to look at it. With tempered expectations I agreed with her to try calling Rand L Heating and Cooling which is a local company I have dealt with before when I bought a replacement water panel for our humidifier. The operator who answered the emergency on call number was extremely helpful and up front about the prices. After a quick discussion we agreed to give it a shot and try to work with them to get our problem solved so we could try to stay in our home for Christmas. Within a short period of time a technician named JD called back to our home. He was extremely helpful and actually worked with me over the phone to diagnose the issue. For my small part of the matter I was able to read a diagnostic code from a trouble light which was mounted to the ignition unit. After describing the error message to JD he immediately knew what to do. He had me take the phone down to the furnace and try to fire it up. Just by listening over the phone JD was able to diagnose that the exhaust motor was not engaging and that we would most likely need a new one. This was great although it only got us halfway there in terms of resolving the situation. However, JD's knowledge and quick ability to effectively troubleshoot saved us time and money which were invaluable in this situation. Now onto the tricky part which was to find a replacement motor on Christmas day. JD was apprehensive about the possibilities of getting the parts although he went right to work on finding the correct part and price in his service catalogue based on our furnace model number and serial. He tried calling a local supply shop to see if they could come in and open up to sell him the part. Unfortunately, there was no answer. The situation was looking very grim. JD however was not quite prepared to give up. He called some of his associates on the off chance that any other technician or friend might have the part on hand. My fingers and toes we crossed. Shortly after this he called back with the most outstanding news I could have hoped for that morning. He found the part!!! He committed to be over to our house around 1pm and hopefully all would be resolved. We were elated to know that Christmas in our home may be salvaged after all. As promised JD showed up on time and was down the stairs working on the problem quicker than you could say and quot;Grandma got run over by a reindeerand quot;. I watched him quickly go to work and replace that motor in no time. The whole time he was walking me through some of the main components and functions for my own general education on the topic which was far above and beyond the type of service I had expected to receive on this holiday. Ultimately that day our furnace was back up and running thanks to Rand L Heating and Cooling and their miracle working technician JD. I want to express how very pleased I was with their clutch performance and willingness to go the extra mile for the customer who happened to be me that day. This is truly a trait that is rarely found in any company in business today and as such they have my unwavering support and gratitude as well as my loyalty to provide future business to them. To Rand L Heating and Cooling and to JD.Thank you so very much for saving our Christmas!

The salesman came out; he had a mobile showroom so I got to see the equipment before he put it in. They did it all in one day; cleaned up and it has worked great ever since. I have never had to call them back and I will use them again in the future.
