George showed up right on time (with pizza in hand) and got to work. He quickly found what was wrong with the fridge and fixed it right then. He came out the same day I called him and was very flexible with the time. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quick and reliable service.

Great Service came out the same day we called. Super friendly- extremely knowledgable! He was able to repair our dishwasher and his prices are extremely reasonable. Best Appliance repair downriver!

Everything was outstanding , from the moment i spoke to him to when he arrived at our home. He made me feel really relaxed in knowing he was going to get the job done and get it done right. He was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. He insured me that everything was going to be OK. He didn't charge a whole lot to diagnose the problem before he fixed the fridge. He wanted to make sure that we were satisfied and to make sure we got everything fixed that we need. He cares about his customers. He also brought us a free pizza for no reason. I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

He arrived when he said he would. George listened to the first one cycle and he knew what the problem was; a relay. He removed the suspect part. The loose parts inside the relay made it sound like a kids rattle. He then went to the second fridge and adjusted the cooling control. It started working. He explained that it was stuck. He said the cooling control may be defective. His suggestion was that I wait to replace it. If it fails again it should be replaced. At this point he left to go purchase a relay for the first fridge. He returned within an hour with the news that the part I needed was not available. Not to worry, he had purchased a substitute part that he believed he could wire in to make it work. He was able to do that and both units are now working. Before leaving he wrote down the make and model of the second fridge, in case it fails again. The total time to diagnose 2 non-working refrigerators, go for parts and perform a non-standard repair on the first one was less than 3 hours. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, while he was working. (I had asked him if I could talk to him while he was working). It was reassuring to know that he did not want to replace parts unless it was absolutely necessary.

It went good. Responded quickly. Brought pizza which my kids enjoyed. The refrigerator was repaired the following day. The only drawback was he had smelled of cigarette smoke and it lingered in the house after he left. He did not smoke in the house. We would use him again as he responded within 2 hours of initial call.

My washer wasn't agitating so I looked on Angie's list and decided to call George "The Appliance Guy". He answered on the first call and worked around my schedule. He called 20 minutes before his arrival and was on time. He even brought me and the kids a pizza. George tackled the job and didnt quit until he was satisfied that the problem was fixed. While he was fixing the washer he pointed out a part that commonly breaks on washers and replaced it since it's 10 years old. George was courteous, punctual, knowledgeable and best of all very fair on his price. The job was actually $10 cheaper than he quoted me. I would definitely recommend the Appliance Guy.

It went very, very well. George the Appliance Guy did a great job and took the time to do the job correctly. He was thorough and did an absolutely perfect job. He even gave us a free pizza! Call the Appliance Guy!

We have used Mr. Demyan's services three times now; he has exceeded expectations. Promptly available, knowledgeable, courteous, fixes the problem and at very reasonable prices for both service call and labor. He was very creative on one call about fixing a dishwasher that wasn't properly mounted in the cabinet, where the wood counter was missing right where the appliance needed to be attached: he created a piece to fill in the missing counter and then attached the unit. He has also fixed a refrigerator that wouldn't run by replacing a relay for the compressor, and installed new rollers and washer arm for a dishwasher. I'd recommend him highly.

The icemaker in my refrigerator had stopped working properly and instead of making ice in the tray, it was spilling water down the side of the freezer where it promptly froze and to make an icicle mess all over my frozen foods. I thought I would have to replace the entire icemaker unit. George (the Appliance Guy) diagnosed the problem, and was able to fix it easily and quickly -- no additional parts needed! I had originally called on a Saturday morning and when I didn't reach him immediately, I left a message thinking that perhaps he wasn't available on the weekend. He called back a couple of hours later (he had been on another service call), made himself available at my convenience that evening, and had my repair completed in just about an hour. He arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and brought with him a meat-lover pizza. He said the pizza was my consolation gift because he had been late. I haven't had a problem with the icemaker since, and it seems to be working just fine. I certainly will call Appliance Guy again if or when I need an appliance repaired.

I called him and he came that day. He told me I needed a lid-switch and explained to me how it effects the spin cycle. He told me it would cost me $110 dollars to fix it. After already spending almost $140 dollars on a timer, I told him I'd have to talk to my husband first. So, I paid him $30 dollars for the service call and I'd call him back. After he left I called three other appliance repair places and asked them how much they would charge to replace a lid-switch? One said around $155 dollars. Another said $147 and the last one said it would run $163 dollars. I called the Appliance Guy back and he was back the next day with the part and he had the job done in no-time. I paid him $140 dollars, $110 +$30 for the service call and he said no, it was $110 total. No extra for the service call, it was all included. I was shocked. Not to mention he brought us a free pizza the first time he came. The Appliance Guy really saved me money. I could have saved even more if I'd just called him first instead of listening to my husband. Sometimes you just got to call the right person. I'm so glad my girlfriend gave me his number. I'll definitely call him again. Honest, professional and really affordable. Nice guy too. I highly recommended the Appliance Guy to everyone in and around the Downriver Area who may need their appliances fixed.
