A1 Bargain Plumbing

I have never had as good an experience with a service provider. I have had carpenters, painters, many plumbers, electricians, AC repair persons, foundation experts and oh so many more in my home. They all pale in comparison to Mr. Kevin Gaber. He was the height of professionalism both in person and on the telephone. He made every effort to do exactly what I needed and succeeded with aces. He was early, but not inconveniently so and called before he arrived. He explained what he needed to do, proceeded to quickly and efficiently do it, educated me on the care and feeding of garbage disposals, and left everything in better condition than he found it. I wish I had met him before I met some other plumbers, who didn't have the skills, nor customer care personality that he does. I am a senior, so I am always impressed when someone does not attempt to take advantage of me. He was so honest and professional. I know my next plumbing job is going to him; although, I hope there will not be a next. We all know something will happen. Thank goodness for A-1 Bargain plumbing.

Not professional at all. I wouldn't trust him with the job. The plumber was rude on the phone and they charge you just to come out to give a quote on the job. It's not a standard for the industry in Metro Detroit.

I liked his demeanor and everything. He was friendly knowledgeable, efficient and he did not leave a mess.

Very well, I think Kevin and his team are very professional in their job and they know what they're doing. Just very pleased in the overall performance of the service that he and his team provide. He does a step by step instruction to show the homeowner what is actually going on and in my case. He showed my wife and I, via camera inspection the roots that were growing in my drain and causing my problem. He then talked to my wife and I about viable options that his company can do to eliminate the problem. Very affordable. Basically, If you need a Plumber, you don't need to look any longer. Just call or text Kevin in my case.

First of all, I look for a knowledgeable, warm and friendly provider. A-1 Bargain plumbing- Kevin fits the bill. The basement tile leak was non-existent-probably from a fixed leak from the past and there was no charge. Kevin gave me free advice and suggestions on other issues and suggested I get the basement tiles tested for asbestos. What a peace of mind! No leak and no asbestos! I also had some plumbing issues in the kitchen and without prior notice Kevin repaired them immediately!! Do yourself a favor and call A-1 bargain plumbing!!!

I had a recurring problem with roots invading and clogging the main sewer line of this house. A week before Kevin came out, I had another plumber mechanically snake the line, and he got it open, but after I spent $300, he said it would probably clog again within a few weeks if not days. The other plumber recommended RootX as soon as possible. Before going that route, I talked to Kevin and researched hydro jetting. Unlike chemicals, it doesn't not require a period of time, usually at least 24 hours, when the water cannot be used while the chemicals work on the roots. That obviously is not very convenient. The two treatment options were within a hundred dollars of each other, but hydro jetting seemed like it might take care of the problem for a longer period of time. Kevin convinced me that it made more sense. I don't know what kind of a job RootX would have done, but Kevin and his crew worked very hard time and time again hydro jetting the line and they showed me on the camera how it was coming along. By the time they were done, there was basically NO root intrusion in the line at all, all the way out to the street. Before their work, some of the openings were quite small. He tells me it should be good for at least three to possibly five years. It's only been a little over a month, during which time there have been no problems. Time will tell the longevity of the fix, but I can't imagine that RootX would have cleaned the roots out any better, and probably wouldn't have done as good a job. Plus, it was all done in one visit. Kevin and his crew were professional, courteous and informative. He also gave me a 90 day warranty on stoppages. The only reason I didn't give him the highest marks all the way across was because the guy he works with that had the hydro jetter was really late (about 40 minutes) getting to the house, so the timeliness there was not the best. However, Kevin was there in his own truck right on time and in frequent contact with his guy. I would definitely use him again, and I'll update this review if there is any more trouble with the line in the next few months, which I don't expect to happen. Three years would be great, as this has been a chronic problem in several homes I've owned.

Was very pleased with service we recieved. It was around 5 pm when my husband found the source of leak under kitchen sink was actually the pipe rusted through. Because they were in the area when we called, they were able to come within the hour. After the rusted pipe piece was cut off they discovered and showed us remaining part of pipe was almost closed off and filled with gunk. My husband and I had noticed kitchen sink always drained slow. The repairs were finished in a timely manner. They were very knowledgeable and courteous. I will be using this company again within the next few months for other plumbing work.

I called Kevin at 8:30 am on Sunday morning after our kitchen sink backed up on Saturday night. We tried every DIY fix we could think of, but were unable to fix the problem. Kevin and his worker came at about 2:00 pm that same day to fix our problem! Kevin had to use his industrial snake to fix the clog, which was about 50 feet or so down into the pipe. He also identified an issue under the sink where the pipes were not joined properly. He repaired this for us as well (for only $10!!!). We really appreciated that he was able to come out the same day. He worked quickly and efficiently, but made sure that the problem was resolved before he left. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a plumber.

They arrived on time and were very friendly introduced themselves respectful of carpet and removed shoes

I called and he was at my home within 40 minutes. He explained everything well and he is marvelous. I couldn't ask for a better plumber. I am always pleased with his work.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM and would never call them again and have them in my home under any circumstances. They gave me a very expensive,and ridiculous price to fix our upstairs shower. They were very unprofessional and were not sure what was wrong, (but trusting them as the professionals they were supposed to be, which was a complete mistake) they proceeded to put TWO large sloppy holes in my kitchen ceiling by cutting and hammering into the ceiling drywall. I could not believe they proceeded to charge me $180 for doing so! I have since had professionals tell me there was no reason for the large holes because if you want to see if there is any water leaking in your ceiling, you can use a small scope in the ceiling by cutting a very small hole. This guy was a non-stop talker and I could not wait for them to leave. I had to pay extra money to have my kitchen ceiling repaired and painted.

nted to schedule oExcellently. After purchasing a washer and gas dryer from Home depot the installation packages as well. Home Depot's people informed me everything they would not do. I contacted A1 to install the black pipe for the dryer. They were $150 less expensive that anyone else. The Owner, Kevin and his aide came and did a fast and near job. He said any more problems and call him. He would come back. Home depot said they could not change the vent cause it had duct tape on it. Kevin and company returned and for $50 installed everything for the vent in 1/2 and hour and was good as gold. I highly recommend A1 for ny plumbing. They are prompt, reasonable and easy to reach. No one else wanted to commit as quickly and get the job done for me. I had just returned from the hospital and needed this done as soon as possible. Reasonable, efficient, responsive and did what I needed quickly. I will call them again.

I am a landlord so I have worked with quite a few contractors. I will say I think I found a permenant contractor for plumbing work. The plumber arrived right on time. Completed the pipe work on day one and then came back on Saturday to finish the remaining work. When they finished the job they cleaned the site really well and made sure everything was functioning better than when they arrived.

They were fast, complete,and honest.

First, Kevin was diligent in showing me and explaining all the errors the company that renovated my bathroom made before he started work. Second, I had been advised by another plumber I had broken sewer tile. Kevin investigated and found the problem was clusters of tree roots invading the system. Jetted the entire line, no replacement was needed which would have cost thousands of dollars had I contracted the first company for replacement. Also replaced a leaking laundry tub faucet. In addition did a few small projects without charge.. Very satisfied with work and the time taken to show and explain all work..

Kevin was great, he showed up on time and kept me informed with what was going on the entire time he was there. He un-clogged the mess in the basement drain and explained how to help prevent it happening again, since it is unfortunately connected to the kitchen line where grease is inevitably going to be present. Kevin was very professional, and he cleaned up the mess from the clog after he was done which I greatly appreciate!! I will definitely call on him again for any future plumbing needs.

They were late getting there, because this was the day after the heaviest rainfall in Detroit history, and traffic was snarled all over town. He called twice to let me know he was trying to get there and was sorry for being late. Which I knew would be the case considering all the road closures. He was quick and honest. Did not try to sell me anything that I did not need.

He did a great job. He arrived promptly to give me an estimate. He pointed out work that needed to be done (another contractor later confirmed that he was correct about my illegal connections.) He did the work quickly and finished on time. He cleaned up a mess of old convoluted pipes and tubes and left them looking neat and orderly. Best of all, the price was reasonable. And he was friendly and polite to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

My sewer line needs to be replaced, which is an important and expensive job, so I am getting estimates from various companies. Two other companies provide free estimates and understood when I told them quite frankly that I am getting other estimates. This guy, however, had the nerve to lecture me about how wrong it is to get an estimate and not hire the company... First, we live in a free market system where competition is simply a reality. I know this first hand because my husband does sales for a residential construction company. Everyday he spends hours providing estimates to customers who don't make a purchase. It is a reality that we live with, BUT because his products are superior and his prices are fair, he does well enough to make up for the lost time. He knows that it is your job as a service provider to sell yourself and your work. This guy obviously isn't very confident that he can make the sale when held up against others! Either that or he would prefer a stupid customer who will trust whatever quote he provides. Sorry, that's not going to be me. Second, spare me from your boring moral soap box. While you, the passionate martyr, are defending your industry from "unfairness," your competition is getting business, continuing to grow, and has enough revenue to hire a darn receptionist so he's not missing calls because of poor cell service. What a joke.

I would highly recommend this company. The plumber was very nice, took care of my sink clog quickly. Recommended what to do to prevent it from happening again, and was on his way. And he didn't charge an arm and a leg either. I would definitely use them again!

It was really great. He was really professional, really nice. It was a younger kid, maybe late twenties or early thirties and he was a very polite young man. He had put the little booties on and it was fast too. I didn’t have to help. He was great. It was $99 to $129 maybe, so it wasn’t bad. I think it was $200 at the most and that was including the service call, and it was free to come out if they did something in your house because we had Angie’s List. Everything was excellent with the job. Sometimes they come here and say for $50 or $100, we can put a camera down there and it was just a simple root problem that we had explained, so we knew this was the same problem that has been causing my husband a problem for ten years. So when we said no, he didn’t try to push it unlike the pushy ones that you find sometimes. He didn’t seem to go pushing everything down my neck or throat. The kid smiled and that is always nice to see. It looked like he was happy to be there making money, it wasn’t just another drain clean out. The price was excellent. It was fast.

Everything went absolutely flawless. I had called them today and they were at my house in about 20 minutes and took care of the leak within an hour and a half. I was very satisfied with the friendly and prompt service, I would recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing to anyone looking for plumbing work to be done.

they were very nice but apparently i missed that they don't come to my area so service was never performed and i received a refund i have requested that i not have to write a review and they said they would remove it, but every time i sign on it requests one so here it is!

The guys arrived when they said (except for bad traffic) and were polite and extremely helpful. They fixed the immediate problem and gave great advise and a free estimate as to what it would cost to completely remedy the problem. I will definitely be calling them again!

Called A1 Bargain Plumbing to come inspect an issue I was having with a 2nd floor laundry drain backup, but the problem actually stemmed from a basement sewage line covered by an iron backflow tap. Kevin was very professional, informative and punctual. He was able to remove the iron cap of the backflow tap using a pipe wrench. Then, by using his camera snake-line, he was able to pinpoint the problem areas. He explained and showed to me how the backup happened and what was needed to be done. Very knowledgeable and as great plumbing technician!
