Kevin was very professional, explained everything well. Had one previous estimate and Kevin's came in at nearly half the other one. Work was done in a timely manner, actually sooner then he thought it might at first. I called with a question about another matter after the job was finished and Kevin called back in a timely manner. I would recommend his company without hesitation.

Did not have work done. I made an appointment to have this company come out to try and find a leak on my dishwasher. He said he could come out on Saturday and would call me and let me know what time he could come. I asked him if he could come first thing in the morning and he said let me make a call and see. Than he called back and said he had me scheduled for the pm. I told him I could not wait till the pm as we were having people in later that day. He said he could send someone within a couple of hours. I said that is fine as long as he could find the leak as I did not want to pay and not have him find the leak. He got mad and said he was not interested in the job to find some else after I waited for him for two days. I did find a new plumber one that is not so high strung. The reason I gave him an F is because he was not dependable. He did not do the work for me as he refused.

Perfect. Kevin called to let me know he was on his way and explained exactly what he needed to do to get the job done correctly. It took approx 30 mins for the drain to be cleared and working correctly. I would definitely hire A1 Bargain again,

We called A-1 early in the a.m. for service on a clogged garbage disposal. Kevin responded promptly, diagnosed the problem and provided the solution. He was friendly and gave us information on what not to attempt to grind. We are very pleased with A-1 and would use then again.

Kevin did an excellent job. He was communicative, charged a fair rate, and was personable. I would hire this company again no questions asked. He even offered to show me how to purge the tank myself so I wouldn't have to hire a plumber again (if the need comes again). A++++++++

Very good work and I would highly reccommend. They started work immediately and worked two ten hour days to get it done. Came back after cement dried, replaced appliances, and finished cleaning up.

Mr. Gaber is the best contractor of any kind that I've ever hired -- and I found him on Angie's List. He is exceptionally conscientious, explaining every step of the job and the cost. He was very thorough, showing me some things that might present problems when I have the house inspected for sale. He was doing other work on my house when the big flood of 2014 hit Dearborn. He gave me an excellent price to clean up my basement -- far less than what others of my neighbors were gouged for. And in every instance, his price was reasonable and fair. Meanwhile, he's extensively connected in the building trades and has given me recommendations for roofers and a drywall contractor, all of whom have been equally honest and helpful. I can't recommend him more highly. If you need a plumber, he'll do the work well at a fair price and he, his son and their assistant Archie will treat you with respect and care. He's the best.

They were very prompt, professional and completed the job in a timely manner.

Everything went very well. They did everything just as promised. They made repairs to all the lines in the basement and out into the yard. I feel totally confident with all the work they did. They were punctual and polite and cleaned up when they were done. The old plumbing was from the early 1950s. They replaced it all with new pipes. I'd definitely have them out again for any plumbing problems.

Floor drain in Laundry room backed up whenever washer drained leading up to a serious backup Sunday night which flooded most of my basement. Came out early Monday morning and cleared the blockage. Drain is working as good as new now. Will use them again. (Well, hopefully wont have to.) Very professional and punctual and at a price that my research showed was very fair.

They laid mat across our hardwood floors and left the work area as well our home very clean. Our new water heater is more efficient and the service provided was in my opinion excellent. We will call this company again for any future plumbing needs.

Kevin was initially early to our appointment which was appreciated but it would have been nice to have a heads up (he was 2 hours early, luckily we were home). After talking to my husband and taking a look around, Kevin surmised that our problem was a clogged roof vent (after some googling my husband had came to a similar conclusion previous to Kevin's arrival so we weren't surprised by this news). Kevin informed us that since our house is 2 stories he would need to call the guy in his company who had the "big ladder" and have him come out to the house. He told us he would call us shortly and let us know when they could be there. I was under the impression that shortly meant we would be hearing back from him within an hour or two so when 4.5 hours went by with no word, my husband finally called him back. Kevin's response was that the earliest he could get to our house with the "big ladder" would be Wednesday (4 days later) and it would cost $450 for him to just get on the roof plus whatever the work would cost. He also suggested we get quotes from other companies, which basically just means he didn't feel like doing the work himself. It must be nice to have a job where you can pick and choose what you feel like doing. Needless to say we called another company who came out 2 days later and did the work for $150. Thanks for nothing Kevin, we most definitely won't be calling you again for our plumbing needs (oh and between us my husband and I own several houses, so that's a reasonable amount of work down the drain. Drain! Get it?! That's a plumbing joke...)

Kevin came out and was very helpful. He really went above and beyond. He was full of ideas where I could save a few bucks here and there. Couldn't be happier.

Because the problem was intermittent, a couple of days later the problem reappeared. I called them and they came right out. They snaked out our roof vent and then ran a camera scope into the drain system from the roof for about 50-60 feet through the basement drains. We have old cast iron pipes and could see areas where backup could occur. However, no matter how much toilet paper I could flush down the toiler, none of it backed the drain up. Kevin gave me a few options including doing nothing unless it failed again to power flushing the drain to try to remove the obstructions/irregularities in the pipes for a smoother flow. We chose to wait and see. It has been 3 days without a problem. Here's the surprise. When I asked Kevin how much I owed him for the additional services, he said no charge. He said he just wanted to make sure he fixed the problem because there didn't appear to be a single cause. But rather a combination of several small problems. Frankly, I feel I should have been charged for his snaking the air vent. I've had it done before and it wasn't cheap ($200?) and camera scoping the drain system must cost at least that much. However, because my problem was intermittent and difficult to diagnose, it felt like he wasn't leaving until he checked absolutely everything. I've used two other A rated Angie's List plumbing companies. Both provided very good services. A1 Bargain Plumbing far out-shined the other two by better communicating with me, their availability and pricing fairly. My comment on price was only for the $150 for the original snaking of the bathroom drains only. That was a very fair price. The additional services I received at no charge were not part of my fair pricing opinion.

Called to get service. We had a bad connection so I asked the person to repeat themselves twice. The response I got was that of an incredibly rude troglodyte!!! I have been a customer service professional since I was 17 and would never speak to any customer or potential customer with such disrespect. Very disappointing! He actually told me to call someone else.

Everything went as planned or better. He's a good guy and a good plumber. Actually charged me less than his minimum fee by giving the senior discount.

I had tried drain cleaners, to no avail, to unclog kitchen sink. called Kevin arrived promply, and snaked drain from access point in basement, to the main drain. rinsed and cleaned up water on floor from the cleanup operation. he had left his floor squeegee a the last job, so we had to use my sponge mop. drain worked fine after that. the very next day, I poured a bucket of cleaning water down the toilet, and to my dismay, saw the cleaning cloth go along with it! I thought i would have to have it snaked out, and have to pay another service call, but when I called Kevin, he thought it would most likely go through with out clogging anything up, and told me to flush the toilet several times and run some water through the drain, which I did. and all was well, to my relief. I thought this was pretty honest, and nice of him.

Drain backed up. Kevin came and power snaked it. Solved problem. Paid $237. One week later, same problem happened again. Sewer water was all over basement. I was angry and called Kevin again. We had a little unpleasant conversation. But he still came and power snaked it, for free this time. He also explained to me why power snaking won't solve my problem entirely. I think he has a point. I feel sorry I was wrong about him, and I am glad it finally worked out well. I will use their service again in the future.

Everything went well - Kevin and his helper arrived right on time. They cleaned up everything and hauled away the old tank. City inspector was here and said everything was installed the right way and no problems. Would recommend them to anyone!
