Kevin was prompt and very professional. He came within an hour when I called him on a Saturday and he did not charge extra for the weekend visit. The price he quoted me on the phone was less than half of what a competitor quoted for the same task, and then he ended up charging less than what was quoted. He cleaned up after himself and also mopped up the mess that was created by the plugged drain before he got here. He is very knowledgeable and gave us helpful advice about our future plumbing needs after fixing the immediate problem. I would highly recommend him.

Kevin is awesome! I noticed some water pooling up in the basement whenever the shower was ran. I found Kevin on Angies list and gave him a call. He came out the same day, actually night because it was 5pm. He snaked the drain, but did tell me to watch it because it's possible the drain may be broken. The house is over 65 years old so that would be possible. I also had been having an issue was my toilet flapper not working properly which was something I had just dealt with for about a year. He replaced it and said I probably need a new fill valve and handle so he did that was well. It was probably 7pm by the time he left, but I never felt like he was in a rush to leave. He wanted to make sure things were done right and to my satisfaction. Well 4 days later the worst happened and water started coming back up from the basement. It was on a Saturday and I called Kevin again and he came out in less than 2 hours. Long story, but after more snaking and camera work it was discovered the drain had collapsed and the basement floor would need to be torn up in order to correct. Kevin was straight and honest with me. He was informative and showed me what was happening on the camera. He gave a price range at the time because it depended on what else was found once he got down there. He didn't pressure me and even said he would understand if I wanted to get a second opinion. 4 days later Kevin and 3 other guys came to start the work. They torn up all the old carpeting in the basement and hauled it away. Something I was planning to do myself eventually. They were here for at least 8 hours and Kevin and another guy came back the next day to finish the cement work. The price fell right in the middle of the range I was quoted. What's even better is I was able to get my homeowners insurance to help me out with some of the cost. The insurance adjuster had to contact Kevin to get some info and he was able to provide it for which I am even more grateful. Overall I would call Kevin again in a heartbeat!

When Kevin came to the house. He was prompt, professional, polite and efficient. He got the job done in a reasonable ammount of time and still had time to explain the procedure and all the possible outcomes. I was very satisfied with the work done and glad that I chose A1 Bargain Plumbing to do it. I have had no further issues with the sewer drain and have called them back to help me with another non related issue. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent! Kevin came out within his estimated time frame. I watched as he filmed the line and showed me where there was some low spots and the area of the slightly disjointed tile under the yard which may cause problems in the future. He explained everything he was doing and what it could possibly mean. After finishing with the camera he said that he couldn't be sure that the low spot under the basement was actually a hole or split in the pipe. Kevin then snaked the drain three times, each time extending the bend of the snake so as to scrape the sides of the pipe and try to catch the head of the snake in a hole or slit. Kevin then advised that as far as he could tell I did not need to have the pipe replaced as the snake didn't catch into any hole or slit and he found absolutely no mud. He said that there might be some hardened grease that caused the low spot in the pipe under the basement and told me how I can disintegrate the grease with consistent vinegar treatments in the drain. Kevin was very professional, careful in the work area, and cleaned up the area when finished. Today is Valentine's Day and I can honestly say that this is the best Valentine's gift I have ever gotten. A total savings of almost $3000.00 for a job that wouldn't have needed to be done if I hadn't gotten the second opinion from Kevin and gone with the first plumber's findings. I would recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing to anyone who needs an honest and thorough diagnosis of a plumbing issue. Especially if it's a job that can cost into the thousands of dollars. I'm so glad I read through his reviews on Angie's list and decided to ask him for his opinion. I also liked his responses when people didn't give him a positive review. Kevin came out one day, checked out the situation and determined what was needed. He didn't have all the parts needed so he did what he could that day and came back the next day, Saturday and completed the job. The vent from the dryer was clogged and he went out in the snow and cold to unclog it for me. Plus a few other things that he didn't really need to do but did them anyway. The work was done on time. Was very professional, friendly, and well qualified for the work. Gave me a great price I was very happy with the experience.

This is our second time using Kevin, first was for snaking sewer lines. We were so happy with him we called back when we finally discovered the source to a long standing but slow moving leak under our sink. He came pretty quickly for a Saturday call, got it done pretty quickly even though the pipe he had to cut off was in such a tiny space & impeded by a huge disposal getting in his way. Then lickety split, the new piece is in & no more leak. It's crazy we dealt with this mystery leak & puddle that would be there one day and not again for months for so long (years)! We just never wanted to call a plumber because they can be pricey...but Kevin's rates are reasonable & he doesn't BS you, he tells you price right up front and does what he says he's gonna do & you know what, it works!! Will definitely be calling him again for future work.

Did not find leak. Sprinkler was shut down for season. He recommended I contact him before I turn the system on again, because he believes the leak is in the sprinkler system. He was very professional and took the time to explain how I should check my meter when I turn on the system in the spring. Very kind and patient.

Very professional plumber, clean, nice to talk to, honest, relieable, on time, clean up after the job, hardworking. Made sure the the drain was working right before leaving. Reasonable price plumber for the job. I was so impressed by his professional attitude, I will have him as my plumber for my home. The whole job went very well and we were very pleased with every aspect of the job. We called other plumbing companies to get quotes and they were higher by $500 to $1300.

I had a leak under my sink and called A-1 Bargain Plumbing. I had used him in the Spring to replace an outside faucet. We made an appointment for a few days later. He informed me that the original drain in my 1963 home was two low and he replaced the drain line and installed a Studor vent under my sink. Everything is working now, no more leaks, so I am happy. I also showed him a leak near my hot water tank and he fixed that at no charge. He was on time for our appointment, was very professional, worked quickly, explained everything, and cleaned up. I will definitely call him in the future if a need arises.

We are fairly new homeowners (3 years) and have not had a plumbing/sewer problem until the other day when the floor drain in our laundry room backup up enough to make a puddle. It smelled really bad too. We had two other companies come out to figure out the problem and both said the house trap under our basement floor connected to the sewer line had collapsed. Neither company actually did anything but look before diagnosing the problem and told us our homeowner's insurance would cover part of the repair (ripping up our concrete floor) that would cost about $3000+. This was a big run around that led nowhere. Meanwhile my wife had already scheduled a third opinion to come out - A1Bargain Plumbing - so we were hopeful third time would be a charm. Kevin was great from the start. His first question to us once we explain the situation was why hadn't anyone tried to snake the drain in to find out if that was the problem. We were very impressed that instead of jumping to a conclusion he took the time to look at our water flow and and what our plumbing was doing. After working on our drain for about an hour he had the problem solved, no broken/collapsed pipe, just a clog and some advice to help keep the drains clean he cleaned up what little mess was made while he worked. We are so grateful that my wife found this company on here. We try to go through local companies first before the national ones and boy are we happy with this find. A1Bargain Plumbing is a family owned business and they will be our plumbers for life. We plan on telling everyone we know that Kevin and his company saved us thousands of dollars by being nice, not jumping to conclusions and being prompt once we called for the appointment (within 24 hours). If you need a plumber call A1!

They were punctual, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and did a very good job.

Plumber came out to house to clean out drain line. Charged more than usual price to do job. Then charged an additional $125.00 to camera line. He also wanted to charge me over $100.00 to look at a toilet that was leaking while he was on-site, so I'm glad we passed on that problem. Another plumber I had come out from Angie's list advised me that I had been over charged and that they never charge extra to camera the line. The problem with the toilet cost me $35.00 dollars. A1Plumbing rep Kevin also did not send me a link to YouTube to view said video until a week after work was done. I would not use this service provider again. No BARGAIN at all.

I have used them before. I am very pleased and very happy with them. I would highly recommend them. I called and they came out later in that afternoon. Kevin comes and he is always very nice and very thorough. I am very pleased.

The guys were nice, extremely punctual and did an acceptable job but... My $89 Big Deal turned out to be double that and only because I said no to the $250 quote. I explained the situation during the scheduling of the job and was led to believe it would be the $89 price. I've since learned that Angie's List takes a significant portion of the 'Big Deal' and some companies use these so called deals to get in the door where they jack up the price and then don't have to share the add-on sales with Angie's. I've not purchased another big deal, told everyone I know not to buy any Big Deal and won't be renewing my subscription.

The provider was not willing to drive over to our location. Apparently our my home location was not in his area.

Talked with company via email prior to purchasing coupon. However afterwards was notified that address was outside of servicing area. They notified me to asked for a refund which I did.

Since we had been dealing with sewer gas and the bathtub making all kinds of noises when we flushed the toilet, we knew we had a problem. We had already tried snaking and flushing out the air vent from the roof. So we needed to find an honest and reliable plumber. A1Bargain Plumbing had quite a few positive reviews so we gave him a try. I called and we set up an appointment for the same day. He was here on time and was able to diagnosis the problem right away. We were very pleased with his work. We then asked him if he would take a look at the toilet in the basement since it had been leaking water around the base. We thought it was the wax seal but wasn't sure. Kevin ended up having to hacksaw the screws off the base and found it was definitely the wax ring. He made sure there wasn't any other problems and continued to replace the wax ring. We then asked about the shower faucet that was leaking. Instead of fixing it, he told my husband where he could get the part and saved us quite a bit of money. We went to Duke's Hardware in Dearborn Hts and found the part we needed. The shower faucet is now fixed. All plumbing issues have been taken care. No more sewer smell, no more gurgling coming from the bathtub, no more leaking basement toilet and no more dripping shower faucet. Thank you very much, Kevin. Even though he seemed to be a little high in price for replacing the wax ring on the toilet, we are very satisfied with all his work and highly recommend him.

This company is amazing and I would highly recommend them for plumbing work! The men were courteous, efficient and spent much more time than anticipated because my house is old and the new toilet did not fit properly. Every detail of what was done was shared with me, which made me trust them and their work. My new toilet was packaged in a way which made it difficult to remove. It was an unusually long amount of time to get it out and it was handled with care! A part was missing, so a call was made to the manufacturer and a new part is on the way. I cannot emphasize enough my satisfaction with every aspect of my service call. I am so happy to have a trustworthy plumber in the event that other work is needed to be done.
