Description of Work: It’s partly my fault because I did not specify that I needed a “tall” water heater. My request was just for a “52 gallon electric water heater installed”. He brought a 50 gallon shorter tank. But when he explained the difference, that is where I saw trouble. He told me that he “had checked online and could not find any tall tanks, and that they didn’t make tall tanks any longer”. I went online and found taller tanks with smaller dimensions at all of the home improvement stores. The fact that I had to pay another $209 for a new electrical hookup for a shorter tank, plus the new tank does not fit the old space properly, and I had to remove the door is not a big deal. The problem is that he did not tell the truth. I built my own house down in Carolina. I have dealt with many many contractors and this was shoddy. I just don’t like the fact of what the guy said to me about them not making taller tanks anymore. Overall he did a good job in the tank installation. I would hire them again but would deal with them differently.

Description of Work: Checked why we had no hot water on initial call, gave us estimates to put in an upgrade kit on our older water heater of about 150.00, but couldn't guarantee it wouldn't leak in future. We decided to replace the unit. He had the new one in the next day, and offered to haul off the old one. Very fast, honest, and professional.

We were comfortable with the price especially since it was 60% less than a previous estimate we received. Walton Plumbing will be the only place we call for future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Replaced two cracked pipes in master bath shower which had caused a leak in shower wall. Repaired broken shower handle. Repaired detached pipe in shower.

+ -1 moreMr. Walton called a few minutes after I had contacted the flooring company about the need to correct the issue with the re-installation of a toilet. He gave me a two hour window, arrived within that window and was able to complete the necessary repairs which were fairly complex for a toilet flange. I was very impressed with his work, attention to detail, and the fact that he cleaned up the area not only after himself, but the guys who had previously tried to re-install the toilet. Even though I didn't get a choice in who the flooring company sent, I asked him for a card prior to his departure and would not hesitate to call him for any future projects or problems.

+ -1 moreMy husband attempted to repair my 95 yr old mother's leaking kitchen faucet. While turning off the downstairs pipes. which were somewhat corroded, the hot water handle froze partially open causing it to leak. It wasn't a lot of water but would have required several bucket changes by morning which would have distressed my mother and required one of us to either stay there or go back and forth during the night. Bill was there in less than an hour and repaired both the pipe and the kitchen faucet which turned out to be more complicated than we had anticipated. The cost was a very reasonable $79 including the $20 off Angie's List coupon. We were somewhat astonished at how fast this all transpired but very pleased, needless to say. We would definitely recommend this company.
Description of Work: Fixed corroded leaking shutoff valve in basement and repaired broken kitchen faucet upstairs. Call answered by Bill Walton who said he'd be there within the hour, which he was. The repair was done quickly and efficiently.

The problem was more than a simple snaking but he persisted until it worked. Very pleasant, and knew his stuff. Highly recommend!

+ 0 moreI started noticing a sewer gas smell coming from my bathroom shower drain. I called Walton plumbing this morning at 9:30am. Bill was out to my house by 11am. We talked about the issue I was having. He inspected the plumbing system and how it operated. He even climbed up on the roof to inspect the vent pipes. He said the issue was more than likely a venting issue. He gave me a few ides on easy things I could do to try and resolve the issue. He said he could do a thorough snaking and camera inspection of all of drains for a fee but, didn't feel that was necessary. My issue should be a fairly simple fix. He was at my house for about 30 minutes and didn't charge me anything. That is an honest ,professional man right there. I will try the options he gave me. If they do not work, I will certainly be calling him out do a much more thorough inspection of the system. If you are looking for a local, honest, knowledgeable plumber, call Bill Walton. You will not be disappointed.

+ -1 moreBill was very quick to respond and contacted my tenant quickly. He was out to do a free estimate the next day and I gave him the go ahead to do the job to fix a leaking faucet. He had a 20% off coupon which made his service cheaper than the other contractors. He estimated $120 and after coupon it cost $96 to fix the single handle shower faucet. Other contractors were quoting between $120-$150. Very satisfied and will use his services again.

+ 0 moreFinally, a review I can't wait to submit!. I loved this guy! Bill Walton came out immediately in the pouring rain after hours to install this filter. A piece was missing and he came back as soon as it was delivered. Didn't charge me for a second visit. First of all he took his shoes off outside ( and I never asked him to but I sure appreciated it) . He was extremely pleasant. He cleaned up after himself and then some, also removing all the boxes the filter came in and took them away saving me from doing it. He explained how the unit worked and honored his price and coupon. I would call him without hesitation for any plumbing job.

+ -1 moreThis was an excellent experience at a reasonable price. I have had Bill perform various plumbing jobs and he is always responsive and on time. He is a Master Plumber who usually works alone. I appreciate his skill and that I'm dealing directly with the business owner.
Description of Work: Bill removed an old double cement tub laundry tub from the basement. He broke it up, hauled the pieces up the stairs and disposed of the debris. Then he installed a fancy cabinet style laundry tub and faucet set in place of the old one. I provided the tub and faucet, he provided the parts and labor. The new tub is a huge improvement and he cleaned up so well it was difficult to tell that he had done the work except for the beautiful new tub!!
