They've done any plumbing service we've had in our house.

received bids from 3 different companies for a new furnace. I live in a rural area where natural gas is not available, so my choices were propane or oil. I have an old farmhouse and chose to go with oil again, although there is more maintenance required. Woodman was the only company to notice that I would need a chimney liner if I chose oil again. They included the cost in their original bid. It took me six months to decide. Woodman was the only company who would honor their original bid. The others were vague about the cost of the chimney liner and wouldn't name an exact price for that, and said the furnace costs had gone up (they were quoting the same furnace model). I was concerned about the chimney liner installation, so the owner, Mark Woodman, made an extra site visit himself, to make sure they could do it without walking on the roof, which is metal and rather fragile. The difference in approach and professionalism from the other companies was very clear. I purchased the furnace, chimney liner, new thermostat, humidifier and central air. The installation was quick and well-executed. I asked for 2 new vents when they were installing the furnace, and they did that also, with no extra charge, although one involved running a duct from one end of the house to the other. I had many, many questions before I made the choice of furnace, and they never failed to answer them clearly and courteously. I didn't have the same experience with the other companies. They were vague, didn't like being pinned down, and were often hard to reach. If they were hard to contact about buying the furnace, how would they be if I needed service on it? I am so glad I chose this company. They do what they say they will do and more. They are trustworthy, honest and have a high standard of quality. If you talk to Mark Woodman, you will understand why I recommend them so highly. His integrity stands out, and his crews are even impressed with his honesty, quality standards and character. They said he is always like that.

New house construction and follow-up problems. Builder and sub. share this responsibility. Mark Woodman is a nice person. But the incorrect workmanship was unacceptable.

sometimes my hot water boiler (i call it a furnace) would make a bumping noise, I wanted to know if it was costing extra because of the thumping, and how much it would cost to fix, if it needed to be fixed. the price quoted $510.00 was more than I could handle, so paid for the call to the tune of $95.00 . I would not recommend this company, and had I known that this was their charge, I would not have called them. they were recommended to me by a person that had done work for us before.
