McGhee's Heating & Air Conditioning

The technician went above and beyond my expectations. He was professional and thoroughly answered my questions in a way I understood. I felt he could then recommend what was best for me. I would hire McGhee in a heartbeat.

McGhee’s has serviced our heating and air conditioning for the last 7 years this has included replacing a broken ac unit and most recently installing a new gas furnace. All the work was done promptly and professionally through scheduled service calls. When the two units had to be replaced, issues were clearly explained and options for replacement offered in clearly described categories. “Sticker shock” was eased by a no interest payment plan and installation was extremely quick and efficient. All of this was done by a staff who were not only professional but pleasant and reassuring. I am very pleased with their service and feel well taken care of

very well; except for installation of thermostat I didn't need. I should have asked more questions; perhaps they could have explained it better.

Amazing! The office was great in setting everything up with the electrical and heating technicians so that everything was done in one day. The techs were very polite and professional . They even put down canvas drop cloths so that nothing got on the rugs and used their own vacuum when they were finished. Mead and White did the electric line.

They did a great job easy to work with.

When my AC unit malfunctioned, I called the company right away to service the unit since the days were still relatively warm. A technician came promptly to inspect the AC and determined that the whole AC unit needed to be replaced. They were prompt with the price quotation but it took them a little while to schedule the installation. I really hoped that this was done earlier while the days were still warm so it would be more comfortable inside the house. When the installation was finally scheduled (October 20) , it fell on a day (according to the weather forecast) when the temperature during the day would still be relatively warm (the forecast for the weekend was also a bit warm). This surely would be welcome since I was entertaining friends on Saturday (October 21). But, alas, according to the company, my appointment had to be rescheduled to give way to another customer who needs heating. But based on my experience, the temperature during the day for October 20-22 was still relatively warm (that's how it was inside the house). When the AC unit was finally installed on Monday (October 23), it rained the whole day and the temperature dropped drastically, thus, there was no opportunity to truly use and test the AC unit. Sigh .... I paid big bucks for something that I was not able to use, not perhaps until Spring of 2018.

The service could not have been better. Having limited knowledge of this process I found them to Efficient,knowledgeable and on time. They did exactly what was promised I would highly recommend them

Nate from McGhees came out and looked at it when we were having trouble, explained that it was dead, and got us a quote for a replacement by the end of the day. They know from experience that I hate the heat, and were able to get it replaced the day before the 4th of July. Craig and Ian had a super long day getting it done, but with amazing attitudes throughout. And that's not to take anything away from Chase and Joe and Doug and Cheryl who are all wonderful work with.

Technician Chase came out within 1 hour of our call for AC service. He tested our AC system and found the problem with the hard start unit within 15 minutes. He changed it out and the system came up and started cooling immediately. McGhee's is top notch!

Very professional .. on time and got the work done professionally. Joe is great to talk to and willing to accommodate requests for scheduling.

Took 2 trips as original "fix" did not work. Responded immediately on a weekend when called back and has been working since.

Chose the second diagnosis was the repair path I chose to take with a repair cost of $312.00 with the potential to receive a $45.00 rebate from furnace manufacturer which has not yet come to fruition. Subsequent inspection revealed that the water problem had been resolved.

We needed a new furnace and air conditioner for our cottage in Michigan. We had been referred to McGhee's by a neighbor. Their pricing was competitive and the work was of very high quality. We would recommend McGhee's to anyone needing new equipment or service.

Technicians were very professional and performed excellent work, they did a very good job explaining all my new equipment and setting up and showing me how the new wifi thermostat works. My furnace is installed in very small location, not much room at all, they did a gerat job by fabricating special duct work to make everything fit perfectly. All work done in less then two days.

Their communication was excellent. I've satisfied with repairs they did.

They installed a temporary thermostat because the wifi-enabled one needed to be ordered. Because of their willingness to come up with a solution, we were able to enjoy our Thanksgiving in a warm house and didn't have to drastically alter our plans. Additionally, their service techs couldn't be nicer or more accommodating, especially considering that we do not live in the house full time. They were excellent to work with under those restraints. Joe in the main office is great too!

Nate responded quickly and fixed the issue. I have used them 4 times and have always been very satisfied. They do not leave until you are completely happy and the job is finished. I recommend them highly.

People at McGhee's were great. Scott took the time to explain his quote and why he choose the equipment. The quote was fair as compared to other service providers. Joe scheduled the service and handled the paper work for the energy rebate credit. Work was performed timely. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I scheduled an a/c tune up but when the technician arrived and looked things over he informed me it would not be to my benefit since my a/c was working fine and did not appear dirty. I am having a problem with a musty odor emitting from my vents. The technician was very knowledgeable and I really appreciate the advice that was given by the technician. I will be getting my air ducts cleaned and the technician offered to come back out to try and help if the duct cleaning doesn't take care of the problem. I would definitely recommend this company based on their promptness, honesty, professionalism and caring that my issue will be resolved.

Nate, the service man was GREAT! He explained how my system worked at checked out various Temps and Humidity indexes. He was a great serviceman and I will definitely always go to McGhees for my HVAC service!

McGhee was called by my property manager for my vacation home in New Buffalo. They responded within 1 hour, diagnosed the problem and quoted me a fair price do make the repairs. They followed up as they said they would and I was back in action! As an owner of a Heating/Cooling company in Chicago I found Nate to be extremely professional! It's nice to have someone you can rely on even on one of the "Hottest" days of the summer. Thanks for a job well done! George

McGhee's to the rescue! Not only did they have someone here the very next morning, they had both units up and running before noon. The tech was prompt and professional, courteous and personable. But best of all, she was sharp and thorough. I suspected some major issues, and at first she agreed with my suspicions. But she diligently pursued the most economical course to resolution for both units. They earned our gratitude, and reinforced our loyalty.
