Eric was great, got computer working in due order. would absolutely use again. Very interesting local guy. We are glad to know him.

While the he was not able to fix the computer, he was very transparent about what was wrong and gave good advice as to why it would be a bad idea to spend more money to get the computer fixed a repair place. He offered to help with other computer issues in the future to make up for not being able to fix mine.

After speaking with Roman, I was told that I would be wasting my money repairing an 8 year old computer. I told him that I was interested in purchasing a new laptop. He offered to email recommendations which he did very promptly. I decided to make my own purchase from a Black Friday deal. Roman replied that he thought I made a good purchase. I decided to get a second opinion on my old computer. I ended up getting it serviced with another company that was closer. I was very happy with the repair at a fair price. So far the computer is running much better. The reason I said I would not use again is the fact that this company is several miles further away than the company I ended up using.

Great, very professional and communicated everything very well, work was done in a timely manner. Will use again for any future PC/laptop or networking needs and definitely will recommend to friends and family!

Roman explained what the issue was, and what it would take to repair. He said there were risks involved with this type of issue. I told him to do what he could. After dropping of the computer late Wednesday, it was ready to be picked up first thing Friday morning. I've been using the computer for a couple of days after the repair, and it seems to be running "good as new." He responded promptly to all communication and was pleasant to deal with.

Roman fixed it on the phone. He used remote access and fixed the computer quickly and effectively.

Everything was great! We had searched long and hard for a good IT company, having had multiple bad experiences in the past. Roman from The Computer Guy responded the same day to my enquiry, came out quickly to assess our problem, gave us a prompt estimate and a very thorough explanation as to what we needed and why, and had things installed within days. He explained things very thoroughly so we understood everything and his price was much more reasonable than our previous estimates. He has reached out to us multiple times the week following to make sure everything was working well. We will be hiring The Computer Guy to do all our IT maintenance from now on!

To my great relief, Roman was able to recover everything. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He picked up the broken PC, salvaged the files, returned it to me and transferred the data to my laptop. He also connected the laptop to the printer wirelessly and installed McAfee antivirus software. I couldn't be happier and would recommend his service without reservation.

It went very well. I believe the person who did the remote in was the owner, Roman Golshpeyn. He systematically went through and dealt with the various issues that were of concern that prevented our computer from operating proficiently. We've now used his services twice. On the second occasion we wanted to make sure he had been paid. The whole process was done very professionally.

Roman was able to resolve my issue much earlier than expected and at a lower than expected fee because it was a remote fix ( just slightly higher than Best Buy but much less hassle!)

It couldn't have gone better. Roman was prompt, courteous, and very straight forward. Seeing as I'm experienced with system operations, albeit z/Series hardware and software, he advised me to reset the computer to its original state and do some trouble shooting. This turned out to be the best path, as I discovered the problem existed from the beginning. The computer was purchased as a re-furbished model. Updating the operating system corrected the problems and I was able to return the machine in good working order. Roman made himself available to answer questions after the fact, if needed. A true professional. I would not hesitate to seek Roman's service in the future.

Romand called ahead, was on time, friendly, patient and efficient. I recommended him to my sister and he sent one of his associates to take care of her issues, so she wouldn't have to wait. He was also very good.

Roman is everything that you want in a Computer Professional. He is Punctual, Well Priced, and above all, He gets the Job Done "RIGHT" the first time. He also installed an entire Home Office System for us and he is simply "The Best". He is a Jewel. Honest, and had the courtesy to actually Turn Around...while I typed my password, without my asking. Preface: I am a Software Engineer myself, and was looking to hire an individual rather than do the work myself as a time-saver (figuring I would pay the cost of labor to not have to spend my personal time doing the work). My experiences below are based on my own industry experience and knowledge of pricing regarding materials/cost of labor on these types of services. All prices listed below are taken from Monoprice on 4/1/2016, which is a reputable dealer of the types of materials required for this project. Roman came out to quote installing Ethernet wiring throughout my home. He was prompt and professional in this regard, and flexible with scheduling a day that would work for me. He visited my home on a Friday, and said that he would produce a quote early in the following week. However, he did not deliver the quote until the following Friday (7 days later). When I received the quote, I reviewed it and found many suspect things in the quote. The first of which was the inaccurate pricing of "Materials" for the job of installing Ethernet wiring. I was quoted 1374 dollars for 14 runs of Ethernet wiring, wall plates, and keystone jacks for a 1107 sq ft residential property, with a full unfinished basement where all the wires would be routed to a central location. This amount does not include the cost of labor, which was quoted at 1100. To illustrate this, I will provide a rough estimate based on estimating 300 feet of cable per run (an extremely generous number for a 1107 square foot home), and the cost of all materials and equipment. 4 x Bulk Cat6 1000ft: 105.18 x 4 = 420.72 1 x 100 Count Cat6 Plugs: 7.98 x 1 = 7.98 14 x Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jack: 1.35 x 14 = 18.9 14 x Wall Plate for Keystone (1 Hole, White): 0.36 x 14 = 5.04 1 x 24 Port Gigabit Switch: 114.66 x 1 = 114.66 1 x 24 Port Cat6 Patch Panel: 20.42 x 1 = 20.42 1 x 13U Open Frame Rack Stand: 63.43 x 1 = 63.43 This matches with what I had requested for the project when Roman originally came to quote it, and roughly aligns in equipment with what the quote showed equipment-wise. The key takeaway here is that as a direct consumer, I can purchase all of the materials required for this project for 651.15 at the time of writing. His quoted materials are more than double what I can purchase as an individual. When I asked him to clarify why these prices were so high, he stated that he does not price materials based on actual cost, but rather a "flat fee with mark up". When I stated that I would consider this over charging if he is also charging for labor separately (which he is), he responded saying that he does not believe this to be over charging despite the overwhelming evidence saying it is. Furthermore, rather than provide an hourly estimate (at his rate of 85/hr), he estimated everything based on flat fees for labor. Given the amount of work requested should be no more than 8 hours of work total, likely far less, at 85/hr, this would put his cost of labor billed hourly at a maximum of 680. However, his flat fees would equate to roughly 13 hours of work. I find this to be disingenuous and deceptive: He is not offering the option that is better for his customers, but rather in his own interest. I would not recommend Roman to anyone seeking services to perform this kind of work due to this.

Would only have Roman work on my computer items. He was recommended by friends and we were extremely happy and impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was timely and also followed up with us to make sure everything was working properly. His rates are extremely reasonable. We have been having problems with in home WIFI connectivity for two years. We had three other consultants come out that wanted to sell us a "big" system and charge quite a bit of money for their work. He asked questions beforehand to get a handle on our problems and see what equipment we had. Upon arrival he assessed the problems and came up with a solution that used what we had - we have not had problems at all since he worked at our home! He is very personable, patient and will explain all that he is doing in terms you can understand. You will not be sorry to hire him!

Roman came a day earlier than our scheduled appointment because he had finished earlier than expected. I was delighted. He went straight to work and after 90 minutes that would have frustrated me no end, he patiently figured out how to remove the corruption from my Windows 10 software and get me back on the computer. After I let him know how much I disliked the new start menu, he installed a program that simulated the Windows 7 start menu. It was also wonderful to have a technician of his skill actually come to my house. Had I taken my desktop to a service like Best Buy's Geek Squad, I might not have seen it again for weeks. Roman was extremely professional, respectful, and helpful. I would DEFINITELY use his services again and will recommend him to all of my friends. Thanks, Roman.

Both times, Mr. Golshteyn was able to completely fix the problems plaguing my computers. He used remote diagnosis and home visits. I was impressed by his willingness to make home visits at a mutually convenient time. Anyone who has been forced to unplug a desktop and lug it across town will appreciate this service. No more waiting two weeks for a diagnosis....the problems were found after a few diagnostic tests were run. No more waiting two weeks for an available technician. Both times, my computers were fixed the same day.... THE SAME DAY!!!!! I didn't have to worry about who was working on my computer, because he was right there....not in some far away back room. Mr. Golshteyn's knowledge is extensive, he answers questions readily, and he doesn't make you feel stupid for not knowing what is wrong with your own computer. He is friendly and professional, prompt and thorough. I HIGHLY recommend this company to all of my friends and it's really a privilege to recommend him, without qualifications, to all of you.

The work was done on time, within budget, and we could not be happier. The Computer Guy MI was professional, courteous, easy to work with, and client-focused. We have continued to use them for ongoing services. You should, too.

If you have a computer/Wi-Fi/home technology related need please call Roman. My call to him in late May was made out of desperation. I had just experienced the Comcast service call from h*** and I needed someone who could come to our home and correct all the ?wrongs? from that service call. In addition, there were other computer hardware/software/Wi-Fi/home technology needs that needed to be addressed. When Roman arrived for the initial service call, he quickly and thoroughly assessed the Comcast problem and immediately called Comcast technical support to get it resolved. With that challenge behind him, Roman reviewed the outline of our other home technology needs and created a plan of action that resolved all of these issues and needs. During the assessment of our Wi-Fi needs, Roman quickly realized that the router in our basement would never have provide decent Wi-Fi coverage on the main floor of our house. In order to solve this problem, Roman created two separate Wi-Fi networks and installed a supplemental router system on the main floor (on a Sunday!) that now provides us with all the Wi-Fi service that we need without those long and frustrating waiting periods for the Wi-Fi system to catch up. In addition, Roman provided all the software integration for a new laptop that he recommended for my wife. He also completely upgraded our existing Dell desktop to meet my defined computing needs. Because of the reconfiguration, I am able to use the money that would have been spent on a new computer for the purchase of an I-Pad! In summary, when Roman arrived at our house we had two barely functioning computers (loaded with many viruses) with very long, frustrated periods of waiting for our Wi-Fi system to catch up. When his work was completed, all of our computer and Wi-Fi needs had been met and we are even backing our systems up to the cloud on a daily basis! Roman has provided additional support through the summer via email as needed. He is truly the best.
