The salesman was way too pushy and did not listen to me. He also spoke disrespectfully about Mexican workers.

THE SALES PERSON WAS HABITUALLY LATE OR COMPLETELY FORGOT APPOINTMENT, YOUR TYPICAL SALES WEASEL! THE MAN DOING THE ACTUAL JOB WAS GREAT (DALE), HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH HIS WORK, AND COMPLETED THE JOB TO MY SATISFACTION!

There were problems from the beginning with qualified workers. Weeks went by without communication or updates throughout the job. Some construction corrections need to be done. Too many jobs, not enough workers. The rooms looks better.

Have dealt with Kopke man times. They are always reliable and excellent.

We got estimates from several companies and found Kopke to be in the middle price-wise. We liked the salesperson, Richard and gave him our $1000.00 deposit for him to get started on the design, with the understanding that we wanted to stay around $10,000-12,000 for the project. This is low, but we knew that we could do some things, like painting and molding, etc. Richard came back with a $24,000-26,000 estimate. Now that he had our deposit, we didn't really have a choice, but we scaled back the work we would do with them. We hired an electrician and plumber on our own and did the tear out and other work on our own. Kopke basically installed insulation, put up dry wall, poured a self leveling cement floor in the bathroom and hung the bathroom door. The workers were not well guided by a manager or contractor. When they installed the drywall, they had to come back because they covered openings where lights were going (the wiring was all set up, so this should have been obvious). This was hired out to another company, even thought were told that all workers worked for Kopke (the dry wall guy gave us his business card which did not mention Kopke on it). Then when they poured the cement floor in the bathroom, they covered plumbing for the tub and the heat vent. I guess it's lucky that my husband was there that day and noticed immediately so that the floor wasn't hardened yet. But they had left for the day-he quickly called the guy in charge (again, I wouldn't call him a manager or contractor since he allowed simple things to go wrong) and they came back to fix the floor. Then, it apparently took a month for the bathroom door to come in-the "contractor" told my husband the week before Christmas that is was stuck on a truck, so they'd have to delay the installation. They just installed it yesterday after repeated calls from my husband since new years to get the door installed. I am happy to be almost done with the project, but I wish we hadn't gotten a false original estimate from Kopke. They should not have taken our deposit if the work wasn't worth their time. They did good work, but we feel that since we didn't spend what they wanted us to, we were low on their priority list. I would recommend this company to someone who has an unlimited budget. I'm sure the $24,000.00 version of our bathroom would have been great, but we were not interested in spending that kind of money and probably should have gone with a different company. We live in Mount Clemens and would never get that kind of money back on our home-this was the basis of our staying under $12,000 to redo the bathroom, which Richard knew.

All service men were on time, very polite & cleaned up after themselves.

When the salesman came to discuss the project, he said that he would not be allowed to give me a full set of plans for my room addition project.

Michael from Kopke came out to give us a quote and spent a lot of time discussing their company background as well as options and alternatives for updating our kitchen. About a week later he called to say that the quote was ready. Because Kopke is quite a distance from our home, we asked him to e-mail the quote. We were quite shocked at the price, which did not include the cost of the appliances, countertops or ceramic tile - we would have to buy those on our own and Kopke would install them. We got other quotes from other remodelers, but in the meantime we received several e-mail and phone call follow-ups from Kopke with a rather high-pressure sales pitch to justify why their prices are high compared to other companies. We ended up signing a contract with a different remodeler to have the work done at half of Kopke's quoted cost.

Only delays for special materials. They respond to phone calls promptly. They were very accommodating to changes in plan. Workers were polite, respectful, skilled.

I have used Kopke in the past, and it always does good work. Furthermore, the company guarantees its work and will address any issues without hassles. Ultimately, I will continue to use them, and I would recommend them to others.

It was great. The installer arrived on time, came every day, and didn't leave a mess after completing the job. Furthermore, he was very communicative and sought my input during all phases of the job.

They were responsive and professional, but we just weren't a good fit. Specifically, they wanted to do a much larger scale remodel than we were prepared for. Ultimately, we chose another firm that would do the type of remodel we wanted.

Kopke was on time, came every day that they said they would, and worked diligently. Furthermore, a supervisor always inspected the work, and they always asked if I was satisfied with the work's progress. I really appreciated that they were professional and courteous during the entire project as well.

Workman arrived when they said they would. Work done efficiently and quickly with total clean up after.

Although very professional, we had a window job that was quoted $16,000 from Kopke. The exact same windows were quoted Pella direct for $13,200.They did offer to match price on the spot when i showed them the Pella quote, but i instead waited for the other quote from another local contractor, who beat Pella direct by another $1200 dollars. I would give Kopke another shot at other projects, but most certainly would get competative quotes. They appear to subcontract little or nothing, which i like.

I did not use them. I had a few other items estimated. They are at least double. I suppose if you have a very large job they would be better suited for that.

The workers were very prompt and cleaned up after themselves. the kitchen looks great and I am very pleased over all.

The design was pretty good but when it came time for the final estimate they would not give me an itemized list of the charges whereas every other company does. Their price seems very high compared to competitors. They were very responsive and punctual but I do not think they are trustworthy.

Two-day job, all requests completed. Kitchen cleaned up and spotless in the end. Contractor identified hidden problems and fixed them.

It was okay. They did not want to take on the job. He was nice but they did not do the work.

They have a really nice showroom, because I can go in there and they're knowledgeable, they can guide me through it. The workers that came were polite and on time. I think that they are reasonable. I think they're honest and they seem to know what they're doing. I also like the fact that they had one guy doing the job and then a second person came through and inspected that that went good. There is a project manager even on a small job, so I like that. I was real happy with them. Everything looks good right now. I'm just waiting to see if the marble top has to be cut, but they've done everything else; everything else is all prepped, all the plumbing is done, and the cabinets are in. There were no complications with the workers that came out. Their pricing was reasonable. I would call them back in the future if needed.

Vince, the installer, was always on time and a pleasure to work with. We have used Kopke on many projects and have always been pleased.

Brandon came out and gave us an estimate. He listened to what we wanted, made suggestions and gave us time to make decisions. He explained the work that Kopke would do in great detail. He presented us with an estimate and opportunities to make changes during the selection process. After all of our decisions were finalized we signed the agreement with all work spelled out and the final price. When we signed the agreement we gave Kopke a deposit. For the selection process we met with Brandon a number of times to make our selections. He spent a lot of time with us and only presented us with a few materials at a time. He gave us time to take samples home to evaluate before making a decision. We never felt rushed or pressured. If he thought we might not be happy with something that we wanted he would make sure that we looked at everything carefully. We felt that he had our interests at heart and would not just let us ask for something he thought that we would not be happy with. We did not get a start date un-till all of the materials were in. I was pleased about this because we did not want the job held up once it was started, waiting for something that had not come in yet. This was also the most frustrating time because we were waiting to get a start date and the holidays were approaching. I was also trying to coordinate my vacation time with the job. When the materials came in we got the start date. The job started on time. The work progressed daily. There as no down day. Joe who did most of the work was very professional and took great pride in his work. If we had any concerns or questions he took the time to answer them to our satisfaction. He made every effort to make sure that every part of the job was perfect, even if he had to give it a little extra effort. We are very pleased and satisfied with our new bathroom.

First worker came in & took out counter top. Then he cutting drywall with old tile out, then granite people came in and installed new top when they were through tile Crew came in & put new tile in.
