Carrolton and his crew from everydry waterproofing were hard working and professional. I have never seen so many people working this hard. They told us it would take a week to complete the job and they completed it on time and cleaned up afterwards. They were careful with the landscaping. I would higly recommend this particular team.
Description of Work: We had seepage from rainwater regularly. The interior of the basement was waterproofed with a new subpump put in and exterior work was done as well

I have used Angi for years, and I have always had very good success with well rated companies. Well, that streak ended with EverDry. Beware their high pressure tactics! Specifically, they ask that all "decision makers" be present for their sales routine. Well, in our case that was not possible. I don't think they liked that too much but after some wrangling they said they would make an exception for us. 1.5 hours before my first scheduled appointment, they left a message stating their sales person had a family emergency. Things happen, and family is critical. However, today (Nov. 22) they failed to notify me their sales person was unable to make the appointment. When he didn't show, I called them. They barely apologized for the 2nd no show and told me I needed to re-schedule the appointment. No thanks! I guess they are too busy right now to care, but good times don't always last. Not sure about their work, but if their lack of courtesy and professionalism is any indication, don't bother with EverDry. There are plenty to other waterproofing companies out there.

Ryan O'Dea did an excellent job of assessing our basement leaking issues, educated us regarding the science and presented us with various methods and their efficacy from which to choose. We did not end up contracting work at this time, but will consider doing so in the future.

I moved back into the house 12 years ago that I grew up in Eastpointe.. I remember growing up, every time it rained we would have piles of newspapers in all the corners of the basement due to the leaking. The first thing I had done once I moved back in the house was have Everdry Waterproofing water proof around the entire house. It was the best thing I had done!! No more leaky basement!! Thank you Everdry Waterproofing!!! LB

Just to be clear: I should have to hire Everdry again only to address any issues with their work i.e., if the basement floods again or regular maintenance of the backup which should be covered by the yearly premium of $75. Here is the full experience: I waited 2 full years before writing the review so enough time elapsed to assess quality of their work. Water started to come into the finished basement thru the walls every time it rained in early 2015. I contacted Everdry to diagnose the problem. A (gruff) consultant came in to take a look and said there are some cracks in the wall; basement external wall needs a reseal and recommended getting an auxiliary tile around the walls inside the basement with another sump well. This diagnosis is important to keep in mind for the punch line of this story. I trusted their diagnosis and a (nice) sales person came in to provide a quote and sign me up for the contract. A (very friendly) staff helped us schedule the work in late 2015 and the work went well. The supervisor was efficient and the crew cleaned everything up, restoring the ground more or less to the original state. However, there were issues: 1. (Minor) The grass planted over the external pit never took root and in spite of couple of contacts, nothing happened. I took care of it myself and after 2 years, it is OK now. 2. (Major) The sales person said the working crew will take care of the basement resealing wherever it is in contact with outside earth and that included the area near air conditioner. However the supervisor refused to do anything around the air conditioner saying that is not needed because that would have necessitated moving the air conditioner. Sales person was out of contact and supervisor was the sole contact - nothing could be done. Punchline: Last year when someone came to take of the radon fan in the original sump (with a sealed cover), they opened the seal and found that the sump pump was broken. It turned out that water was coming out from the walls simply because water had nowhere else to go. So the diagnosis was wrong - a simple $500 good quality sump pump would have addressed the problem instead of $17,000 for whole length of water proofing! Bottomline: You better diagnose the problem yourself and if there is a real problem, engage Everdry. They will do a good job but you make sure the spend is necessary.

Long story: Everdry team was good to deal with, professional and explained the work to be done. They completed work on time showing up promptly all the days work was done. I waited almost 2 years before rating them so that I could evaluate the result and the water did not come into the basement after the work was done. The reason for C rating on price and quality are two-fold: Their diagnosis of the problem was poor. The reason for water in the basement was a failed sump pump (My sump is sealed; water was coming out from all sides of the basement - apparently from drain pipes - and the pump was fairly new, so it did not occur to me to check the pump). Everdry told me that it is because of cracks in the basement or the rod holes and told me that it needs a full-blown water proofing. So I went with it - spending $17k in stead of $300 on a sump pump - a great lesson for you all. A great professional business would have saved me '000s. On Quality: The water proofing itself is good. But they left the basement full of dust. Upon complaining, the supervisor - who was very courteous - came back and did another round of cleaning. However the basement was still dusty and I had to engage professional cleaners to wipe it down and still it is dusty!! Poor job. Outside the house, I was promised that they would put the landscaping back, which was done in a very sloppy manner and I had to spend another $500 to get it back into the original shape.

They came to my house, told me a price of $20,000 for both inside and outside. I told him could not afford that. He came down to $16,000 if I signed right then. I still said no! They called me the next day, saying they wanted to make the price lower, so they came out again. He went down all the way from $20,000 to $12,000, if I signed right then. I signed the contract and on the disclaimer where it has three days to cancel he told me I could not cancel since the parts were only for my job. I told my friend and she said no way cancel, I said I can't because of what he said. I went to the post office and sent a copy of the contract by certified mail. They called and said they needed to come out again and talk to me. I said to send me anything if I needed to sign, and they said they would call me if they needed anything. I told them they were harassing me and I never heard from them again! They did my friends house and they have been out many times and they are on their second sump pump! I highly do not recommend this company! They lie right to your face!

Once they met there time table of three days and argument was resolved by the fourth day things were fine. They repaired a serious crack in the corner foundation and tarred and plastic the rest of the outside foundation installing two dry wells with gravel to help ease any load on their system as we live in a flood plain where water is 12" down and sump runs every 20 minutes into our pond before slow drainage out far end. It has been so dry in MI this summer I have never seen the water table or the Clinton River so low. Will have to see whose system pumps more water in future. Nice finish cement work and outside cleanup. I would rate this company a 10 even though we had to come to an argument and $30. Stop payment when they thought they were finished. I hope we remain friends as I grew to like these guys working side by side for three days. Mike the owner is a very reasonable man and considered us family until we had our bump in the road. I hope he still feels that way as his company is the best around with polite workers and quality work. I think highly of him and all his crew. They stopped lunch to help me move a 600lb safe into the house. As I said great guys and good management . I just wished I stayed ahead of them in clearing drywall and studs and there would have been no problem. Rate them 10 in all areas of the job Thank you! Gary Baker 37560 Hayes Road Clinton Twp. 586 4892303 Feel free to contact me about this company as they are the best in waterproofing and basement repairs.
Description of Work: Total inside and outside excavation to footer in some spots outside if there was a crack in wall. They did a great job giving us time to move everything from outside wall perimeter but did not inform us that the bottom 16" of drywall insulation board and plastic as well as supporting studs be cleared from cinder block for block holes to be drilled for total drainage of trapped or soaked water in bottom blocks. I worked like heck to stay ahead of them but a 63 yo BK amputee can only work so hard. I did not finish the work room and they put drains up from drainage ditch they installed. 2" of rain fell the 3rd night after they finished and that wall leaked rain water when it never has in 38 years I lived here. A argument broke out that they would have to charge more to break out that section drill the blocks and recement that wall. I called bank and stopped payment on the day before S check for $9000. Half on completion. The city inspector showed up for final approval and could not approve the whole job as water streamed under workroom wall to laundry drain. The next day a crew was out and broke out all cement to their drainage ditch and drilled out cinder blocks for drainage into there system. They recemented and installed a window well where window was in need of repair. I have replaced that window and the system works great after I removed a couple inches of river stone covering there sump and some pea gravel from my own exterior drain tiles to sump.. I think I am a rare customer to have two sumps, one outside around footing and one inside around footing. They tied into my sump drainage system and installed a fan in the sump room as it is the dampest room in basement. It has been great and my pleasure to swing by their office with another check for $9000.

It went really good with EverDry Waterproofing of S.E. Michigan. They came in, told us what was wrong. They set up a date, in fact they worked with us because I have small children. They were a little bit pricey, but they told us that they would do it in the off time, in fact they gave us $5000 off because they did it in the winter. They came and did the work, the cleanup was good. Not much dirt, they put plastic sheeting up all over. I just had them out a couple days ago because about a month ago I still had a leak in the basement so a gentleman came out twice to look for where the leak was coming from. They had men over and repaired it right away and it looks good. They were very nice and very professional.

My wife and I noticed water in our furnace room and were able to determine the source of the leak which was about half way up the wall. Being that this was the first time ever having a leak, I turned to Save On magazine and found an ad for EverDry Waterproofing. Understanding construction, I was fearful that this would cost a large amount of money to fix. Jeff, the owner, came and met me at my house the same day I called. He explained to me that the leak was isolated, that there was no mold, and that the position of the leak would make it rather easy to fix. He made us feel very comfortable immediately. He told us that he could patch the wall from the inside but explained that it would be a temporary fix. He recommended digging the outside garden down to the bottom of the foundation about four feet wide and fixing this from the outside using black rubber, back fill with stone and the existing dirt, and then about 2 feet down from the ground level wrapping plastic so that water would run away from the house in that area. The first thing I thought was how much? I believed that he was going to charge me a high amount knowing that I needed to have it done. The price was under $1,500.00. We scheduled a day with him to complete the fix. He said his team would show up between 9:00 and 11:00am and the project would take approximately 5-6 hours. His 2 employees showed up right at 9:00am and were very professional in their approach. They introduced themselves, explained step by step what they would be doing, and reassured us that everything would be fine. I was worried they were going to make a disaster of my back yard and track the mud inside my house. Well, not one drop of dirt ended up in my house and they returned my garden to the same as before they arrived. They did a fantastic job! Overall, my wife and I felt very comfortable with the honesty and integrity of the owner and all the employees involved. I would highly recommend this company to people that want a job done right the first time.

This company didn't even make it to my house. I was getting quotes from three different companies on my basement leak. Everydry needs to get a little more professional with their customer service and phone representatives. I received 6 calls and 2 voicemails within 4 hours while I was at work. I called them to let them know that I was at work and would address their persistent issues when I got home. The calls didn't stop.. I finally called and let them know that their level of unprofessionalism thus far has me very uninterested in doing any sort of business with them. Two weeks later.. my co-worker had the same exact thing happen. The badgering and the hounding.. so unprofessional. And oddly enough her quote was 16,000 just like others on here. Must be their go-to. I would seriously avoid this company and call around. I'm glad I went with someone else! She decided to do the same.

I called Everdry because I wanted to get a small leak in my basement fixed before either selling or renting my house. Mark came out and was nice enough, but the company is nothing but fear based selling, and they are really good at it. All I wanted was a free estimate and the next thing I know he convinced me I needed $16,000 worth of work in a very well laid out (and no doubt rehearsed) plan. With 10 year financing, it seemed reasonable, and he promised me I'd get 110% of that investment back when I sold my house. I signed up and decided to move forward. Over the weekend I gave things a lot of thought, and talked with a trusted realtor. They told me it was unlikely I would get 100% of my money back, or even close to that. After talking things over with a few other friends, I decided to start simple, which is what I wanted in the first place from Everdry. The leak was only a small area, and should only require a small fix. I I called them up to cancel my contract and they showed up Monday (unannounced). Now Mark had brought along his and quot;supervisorand quot; Gary to help see if he couldn't knock down the cost. When I explained what I wanted (a new drainage tile ran inside the house along the problem area) he gave me a quote of $6,600. I again agreed to it (they are really good and pushy salesmen) and they had me sign everything on the spot. They still had my $100 deposit as well. I heard back from a friend (was hoping he'd reply before I signed) who had more work done for half the cost. This was the final straw for me. I dug into the company and reviews for them (yes, something I should have done before) and found a ton of horror stories like mine, their fear based sales tactics run amok. I called them up to cancel again and they wanted to send someone back out with papers, which I said wasn't necessary. Found another family run company in the area who helped me understand the real problem, and the fix was $500. When I asked them if this didn't fix things and I wanted to have the tile installed ($6,600 with Everdry) what it would cost, and he said around 3 grand. Update: 2/15/2013 - The owner called me which does speak volumes, and took a considerable amount of time to listen to my story and try to understand my frustrations. When confronted with such a significant cost difference between them and the competition, he said he'd pull my estimate and review things himself. While I still won't do any business with them, I was impressed to receive the phone call. So, if you do use Everdry, make sure you get some other estimates first, and don't let them push you into signing something right on the spot.
Description of Work: Called them out for an estimate on waterproofing my basement. All I was looking for was a free estimate as I was about to move out of state and was planning on renting or selling my home. My hope was once I had an estimate, I'd know how much I had to save and order the services once I was ready.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the way The Everdry Crew handled our basement job. We have a very big basement more than 2500 square feet and it has been wet for over 25 years. Leaks from wall and at the floors in several areas. We had decided that we would go with the Multi-Step Basement Waterproofing system. Total Excavation - dig around the exterior of the home’s foundation all the way down to the footing. Interior Systems - this involves opening the floor around the interior perimeter of the basement, digging a trench, and placing perforated drainage pipe and gravel around the footer, plus we added 2 sump pumps and their E-Z breath ventilation system. The crew came to our home on the morning of the 28th of March, they got started right away and within hours they had the perimeter of the basement jack hammered up while another crew started digging outside the perimeter of the home. The only spot that they didn’t dig up was the cement backyard patio, which they had promised that if we ever replaced the patio with pavers or something like that, they would come by and complete the exterior connection. The crew took great care in keeping our house clean. At times, depending on what phase they we at, it seemed that there were 15 plus men working on the job. There was always a superintendant onsite to answer any question that I had. And I had a lot of questions. He explained the job along the way. Their time lines were punctual and as promised they were out of there in 3 days. Leaving absolutely nothing behind. Interestingly enough, the moment I handed the superintendant check for the job it started raining. The first test for my new basement. With my house, even a little rain and my basement was wet. That day… Not a drop! Months later we had decided to rip out the concrete patio and put in brick pavers. Once the patio was removed I called Everdry, true to their word they had a crew come out the very next day to connect the outside system. I am writing this 2/11/2013 almost one year since the job was completed and I must say that I am completely impressed. We have not had any issues with the system. Notes about the sales person: I wouldn’t say that he was a pushy salesman, because we knew what we needed to do. He explained the system very well. Notes about the crew: Most of the crew were very professional, although when I was outside watching them, some of the language was offensive. Mostly they just kept quiet and did their job. I am very pleased with the result and will refer your company to anyone that I know with basement issues.

Fear based selling tactic. After discovering a water issue in my basement I contacted Ths Company and two others to evaluate my issue and provide an estimate on the solutions. I based my decision to contact this company based on a positive recommendation from my wife’s coworker. The company also got a decent rating from Angie's List. When the representative came to my home he immediately diagnosed my issue before he came into my home to hear or see the issue I had. I need a full outdoor basement waterproofing system. After explaining to him and showing him my issue he said I could address this issue myself. I guess this job was too small for him. He then explained the bigger danger to my homes' wellbeing the potential or imminent danger that lurked in my future. The solution a full outdoor basement waterproofing system. Costing over 10k. He tried to pressure me to sign a contract immediately. I told him I would like to explore my options and educate myself before making a decision. Because of my referral he offered to discount the job by 20%. I explained I still wanted to explore my options. After exploring other solutions and educating myself. Every source tells me that you should not fix something that is not a problem. And if the initial system failed after 10yrs why would replacing it with the same system work. Overall I did not feel comfortable that this company truly wanted to address my issue but wanted to sell me an expensive basement waterproofing system I may not need. Note: I received a call from the company willing to come back and give me another estimate on my JOB wanting to discount the job even further. I declined the offers.

Everdry is one of the oldest, most reputable and well-respected basement waterproofing companies in the Detroit metropolitan area. Additionally, based on our BBB report and Internet customer reviews, we have the highest percentage of satisfied customers. Every industry has companies that low ball price and claim to do high quality work but are here today and gone tomorrow. We understand that every industry has customers that base their decision primarily on price and seek the lowest price available. We respect and understand this. We simply ask that you respect that we believe in a complete and permanent solution that offers more than a dry basement and the customers that choose us have the same beliefs. Furthermore, our customers want a company that has stood the test of time and will be here when they need them most. We recognize not everyone shares these same beliefs and that Everdry is not the company for them. Therefore, giving us a grade of an “F” based on an estimate that is compared with a totally different solution is unfair. Because you don’t share the same beliefs regarding our approach to fixing a basement doesn’t warrant an “F” rating. I am very sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. I found them on Angie's List and they were good. They had a very thorough approach which did not require digging out all the ground around. They had a different process which I thought was less invasive and a lot less expensive.
Description of Work: I used Everdry Waterproofing of S.E. Michigan for waterproofing.

They did a good job. When they were cleaning up, they dumped the cement mixture that they used intto my grass when rinsing it out. That was the only thing I was not happy about. They were pretty prompt and responsible.
Description of Work: They came and did basement waterproofing.
