My wife and I hired Ken for an appraisal. He came to my home and seemed to be in a big rush. Ken gave us a low-ball appraisal number of $135,000 that was useless to us. Comparable homes were selling for more. Keep in mind this house is very well maintained, spotless, on a half acre and backed up to a beautiful park. Just a few weeks later a buyer's lender purchased an appraisal and we sold the house at $195,000. That's a $60,000 difference. YOU be the judge! I asked Ken for a refund and he said 'no'. He insisted that he did a good job. Ken should not be on Home Advisor.

He had appraised the house at $250K well I knew this had to be a typo so I asked but figured it should have been 150K, oh no his typo went to 102K not in one spot either. I can see a 2 being accidently hit but how do you go from 250 to 102 and just email back yeah sorry typo? So I asked questions in an email back to him and copied my realtor. Money is not the issue, I am upset that we did pay him for the huge mistakes he made on our appraisal and the fact that due to them we are paying another company to get a true and accurate appraisal

Ken from Acupraise was great to do business with in a time crunch situation. My divorce mediation was coming up in 10 days. The wife did not get an appraisal. Why? I don't know. Ken contacted me within minutes of submitting my request online. I told him about my time crunch situation. Even though it was a stretch for him he got it done. He delivered the report / value right on time (before my mediation). Without this, we would have had to reschedule and I am grateful that he helped expedite the process so that there was no delay with my divorce settlement. I highly recommend.
