My piano is very easy to move, so it was not a problem for them. It was right next to the front door. They were young guys, and were well mannered. This was my first time using them, and would recommend them.
Description of Work: I had an old piano that nobody wanted, and they picked it up and disposed of it for me.

I found those guys to always be good. My overall experience with them went very well. They were prompt and did the moving when we needed to have it done. We have used them multiple times through the years and it has always been that way. The price is fair and the quality is fine.
Description of Work: I used Two Men and a Truck for moving purposes at different times.

The first website contact was via email as I inquired about costs and processes etc. (NOTE - All our moves prior to this were with major moving firms so it was an entirely different experience using a smaller firm). The first contact was very good as she returned messages quickly etc as to sizes and number of our belongings and weight estimates. The issue was whether 2 - 24and quot; trucks were needed or not. To avoid this second truck expense we moved one U Haul 20' load ourselves a week ahead of the final move. I then also asked for an onsite estimator to actually see our goods after we did the first move. This way we would get an accurate estimate on what we had left to move. The local 2 Men St Joseph MI mgr came out and did this and was very nice. He thought 1 truck would do it - but it would be full. The mgr assured us the packers would be experienced and if a rookie was available - he would be with 2 other experienced men on the job. The packers then came out the next week and one was experienced and other said it was his first pack job!! They also showed up with no box tape and very little paper wrap. I had to go to the local U Haul store (2 trips) to buy them tape and then more paper! I called the local mgr back - while they were packing- and stated what was happening and he contacted the Holland MI office as I recall. He stated we would get a discount due to the situation. After the packers were done I had to pay them the full amount trusting I would get a discount later off the move portion. Also the packers themselves asked for and needed my credit card number and the card security code to process the payment - not too secure or professional. On moving day it rained so they understandably started a bit late (a couple hrs). Four men (incl the 2 packers) showed up with 2 trucks after all the communication we had done. The men got all the goods into one truck and we took our 2 cars full also. Then two of the men went to weigh in locally and called back soon after and said they were 60 lbs overweight. We went to the weigh station and took enough items to get below the limit. Then we were told they had to wait til the next day to actually finish the move. I agreed if there were no extra charges and there were not. The next morning and afternoon they unloaded and these two drivers did a great job. Again - to finalize the move- I had to give my movers my credit card info after 2 Men already had it once!! We contacted the damage person and he was very good at processing some minor damage claims and we received our check to compensate. BUT - I did not get any response after several calls from the Holland MI office staff as to my packing issues and discount. I finally called 2 Men headquarters in Lansing MI to complain and a rep was disappointed in my case and was to follow up with the Holland staff. That is the last I heard from them. No packing discount ever received!! Bottom line is the amount of communication when moving needed really requires one point of contact to avoid these issues and miscues between company depts. Why should the customer have to navigate what appears to be an unorganized firm with lack of clear role definition? But I had 2 great movers that made up for a lot of this. Use them locally only!!
Description of Work: Packed and moved household goods 200 miles. They appear to be best at local moves from the references we got - before selecting them for our longer distance move. The biggest issue is the numerous points of contact you must use when working with this firm vs a major mover where you have one coordinator to handle all issues and questions. With 2 Men you have the initial bid contact, the local manager (on site estimator), the packers (2) , the movers (4) , the damage person and the office staff ( 2 more).

Arrangements ahead, including cost estimate, were carefully made. I was notified ahead that movers were running alittle behind on ETA. Movers made sure they followed my instructions for the steps involved in re-locating furniture, etc. This process involved long waits for the elevators in a senior citizen complex, and Ray and Gabe remained patient and cheerful.
Description of Work: Moved my mother's 8 or so large, heavy, old pieces of furniture to a different apartment in same building; moved several heavy items to storage.
