Salesman James Tittle quoted me a price on a new roof and blown in insulation. After checking around, I decided to go to Tittle Brothers Construction. James was very professional and knew what he was talking about. The crew came and I was impressed from the time they got there, to the time they left. The job took about 5 hours. I really appreciate the great job on the clean up and the overall experience with Tittle Brothers Construction, I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO OTHERS!

I was recommended by my daughter who also received a new roof last year. I called salesman James Tittle for an estimate, he was very eager to help. He was at my home later that day. Very professional and knowledgeable salesman. I was impressed during the entire process. The roofing crew that came to my house was very pleasant. The job was completed in a timely matter. They did a beautiful job, and they cleaned up so well, you would of never known they were there. Thank you.

One day we had a bad wind storm and part of my roof blew off. I called some roof companies and they all wanted to make a appointment. I called Tittle brothers and they sent a crew out that day. They had two men on the roof putting a tarp on it, and they did a great job. They worked in cold windy weather, they were fast clean and professional. I would use them again.

It was a nightmare. They did not install the siding right and they quoted me for the higher quality siding. When I said I wanted the lower grade siding to match my exisiting siding they did not change the price. They only wanted to reuse old shingles to replace ones that blew off instead of repairing it properly. They did not install the window properly and because of this they had to reframe and reinstall it. I ordered polished nickel hardware for the screen doors and they installed screen doors with brass hardware. After asking them about fixing it they never did and I still have the wrong color fixtures. The first front door they tried to install was 2 inches too short and I had to fight with them to get them to order a new door at the right size. They did not install the new front door properly and to this day it still does not close right. They never installed the trim around the front door. I severed communication with them even though there are things they have not finished. One of the sales reps even called and left an irrate voivemail about not receiving full payment because he would not get his commition before going on vacation. I finally paid them in full just to be done with them. I would not recommend them.

Products that were installed are very nice quality and good value and were also installed quickly. The company was very quick to answer any questions and get back to us before work was completed. Now as we try and contact them communication has been very disappointing. It has taken over two weeks for an invoice to be sent for a window rebate. We have called twice and sent three emails. Also, their clean-up of the work areas was horrible. 7 months pregnant and had to come home to a house that took my husband and I from 7:00 at night until 2:00am to clean! We had lead paint in our windows too. Our kitchen was the worst, covered in foam and paint chips, nails on the floor. Thankfully the end result was good and installed correctly, but will not go with this company again when we go to get siding in the Spring. Quality of work has gone way down. Our lawn was covered in installation debris and cigarette butts after roofing and windows were replaced. We feel as though the company only cared about us until they got our money.

The estimating experience was OK -- That and the price for the supposedly "GAF" Certified roof was enough to convince us to go with Tittle. Everything else about the experience was regrettable. Unfortunately with roofing, once you realize that you have made a mistake, 3/4ths of the roof is torn off, and its realistically too late to stop. Please, do not use this company. I would have done a better job by myself.

We understand the homeowner's frustration and had an equally frustrating experience with this job. The roof was scheduled to be installed on Thursday, however could not be due to the fact it was thunder storming. We called the customer on Thursday morning and rescheduled his roof for Friday, the next day. When our crew arrived on site Friday, we started tearing off and prepping the roof and the homeowner sent us away because rain was "in the forecast" and he did not want his roof to be tore off if it started raining so we tarped it and rescheduled for Saturday, the next day. {Might I add it did not rain one drop on Friday} Saturday morning comes and it is pouring rain so we can not do his roof and are pushed yet again into the next day. Monday, the new scheduled day to complete the project, we arrived on site on time, completed the tear off and re-roof in one day and cleaned up all debris just like promised. We absolutely wish we had control of the weather and try our best to schedule all our projects around the homeowners schedule. I am not positive as to the reasoning for the customer to state, "price for the supposedly "GAF" certified roof" as if he did not receive a proper GAF system. Tittle Brothers Construction installed the full GAF system on his roof and have provided the customer with a warranty through the company and through GAF. As always we are just a phone call away and are always here to help with any outstanding issues the customer is experiencing.

Unprofessional- did not finish on time. Work that was promised to finish 3- 4 weeks ended up close to 5 months. Strategy they use to solicit business, once to get the agreement tO start your work, they start a bit and not finish it and to go on to solicit other businesses- Leaving you stranded. This is how they get people hooked. I recommend anyone to sign a contarct and state a deadline if they do not finish on time, you do not pay which I did not but not with this company anyway. They used cheapest possible material. They did not protect the wood that was supposed to be used for the addition against the elements such as rain and sprinkle water. They did not clean up after the work. Left empty beer cans behind. Did not get city inspection approval before procedeingbto next phase. Failed city inspection 3 times. I even sent ban email to the owner recommending a better business conduct in this harsh economy pointing out that " in this digital age it is easy for the word to get around"He did not even bother acknowledgeMy email. Not being member of Angie's list at the time, I then found other people have had issues with this company. Otherwise, would not give them this work.

Response from Tittle Brothers Construction
We completed an entire bricked garage from the footings up to the roof for this homeowner. We had a very structured payment arrangement laid out from the beginning stating that we will do one phase of project, get paid, then start the next phase. The homeowner constantly played around with giving us our payment once we completed phases, that plus his indecision on choosing brick, roofing and siding colors stretched the entire project completion time to the max. The homeowner constantly wanted us to schedule the job around his schedule so he would be home, sometimes requesting us to drive to his residence, work for an hour and leave. He was very rude and demeaning to the majority of our workers only really showing respect to our project manager and Mr. Tittle, his salesman. We never stated once on our contract a promised time the work would be completed and listed very clearly all materials we would be using for every phase. We did fail our rough framing inspection two times due to the fact the first time the homeowner sent the inspector away because "he didn't feel we were ready for inspection" and the second time the homeowner was not on site, as promised to allow the inspector access. I can say with 100% certainty that none of our crews left beer cans behind, especially because the homeowner called and spoke with our office manager everyday this project was going on and he never once mentioned it. We passed all necessary inspections from the city and finished the job in as much as a timely manner as the homeowner would allow.

Tittle Brothers is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever hired to do work. 1. During the roof work, I was outside most of the time watching. At one point one of the workers walked right past me to urinate behind my garage. Perhaps this is normal for roof workers? I don't know. I guess I would have let it go if it wasn't for item 2. 2. After the roof work was completed I had a few general questions for the supervisor (not related to the urination incident). He said that he would follow up with the main office. A week and a half later I had not heard anything, so I sent an e-mail to two Tittle Brothers employees with my questions. A week after that I still did not hear anything, so I sent a follow up e-mail. Later that evening I received a 3-word response that did not answer anything I had asked. I then called, which did not get answered, so I left a voice message. It is now over a week later and I have not received a follow up phone call. For spending $5,000 on roof and chimney work for my small 996 square foot ranch house, I don't think it is unreasonable for Tittle Brothers to take five minutes to answer my questions.

Tittle Brothers Construction wanted an additional $800 over the contract price to complete the painting job. The painting and siding jobs were subcontracted by Tittle Brothers Construction. No one from Tittle Brothers Construction showed up to inspect the job. The subcontractors were not aware of the contract terms. The painting contractor didn't know the contract called for two coats of paint. The siding contractor didn't know the contract called for tyvek wrap to be installed. The number of siding squares required for the job was under estimated. Tittle Brothers Construction had to be reminded one week after the job was completed that the dumpster was still at the job site.
Description of Work: Tittle Brothers Construction was contracted for painting the house exterior wood trim, garage door and windows. Also included in the contract was the removal of existing siding and installation of new vinyl siding.

I would never hire them again, nor ever recommend them. I was quoted GAF products, but now GAF doesn't show a record of any warranty. They had to fix the flat roof 5 times, chimney had to be rebuilt 3 times. It took months and years for them to respond. While in the end they did the right thing, Poor workers, dirty. It was very painful.

When Tittle Brothers came to our house for the first time we had such a good feeling about them. We got a couple of estimates from other companies before, but the sales guy for tittle brothers was such a good talker we thought we had a really nice family owned business. They gave us an estimate to do our cement stairs and even agreed to take off the white paint on our brick house that the previous owners left behind, and add a chimney cap. Well it took this company a month to get the project started when we were originally told two weeks. The stairs did come out well and the men who put in the stairs were taking great care at putting them in and were always measuring to be accurate. So finally our stairs got finished and we noticed a couple days later that there was no chimney cap put on and that no paint had been removed from the brick. After calling them a few times the company finally called us back and said that they would come back out and put a chimney cap on but the paint was not there responsibility because they didn't put the paint on the house. We know they didn't put the paint on the house, but they should have never listed to remove the paint on the estimate form if they were never going to even try to remove it. The cap that they put on was nothing more than a screen, like chicken wire. As for clean up, they were not to careful while mixing the cement. They left dried cement all over our driveway and chunks of it on our grass. We didn't bother telling them because its near to impossible to get a hold of anybody but the operator. We did have to call them back two days ago to repair part of the cement between the stairs and our wood porch because it started to crumble. But don't bother trying to get this company to call before they come over, they won't ever tell you they were their to make the repair. I was contacted about 2 weeks ago that they were coming out and they have not called or showed up April 2015. Still waiting it is know 4/21/15 Well, now. They came out to do steps and now they are saying no way, its been to long. After being told numerous time they would take care of it. Beware! I was told on May 2nd the owner would call. well needless to say I still haven't heard and I know I wont.. BEWARE mAY 6TH 2015. April 29th 2016, My stairs are latterly crumbling apart. and they refuse to help

They had a competitive price and I felt confident with the salesmen (who was an owner) and also lived near me. They did the job in one day and it was great. However, we started to have leakage problems inside our home. They sent someone out to look at it who said he would fix it - but never did. Then they stopped returning my phone calls. I had to hire someone else to repair their job that was not done properly. I thought their price was good - but in the end they did not deliver on a quality finished product. We also had a problem with the dumpster haul away. The work crew said we could throw some additional things in there that was not allowed (per the dumpster owner). It made it an inconvenience for myself and the dumpster owner when he came to pick it up. If they had told me we could not place anything else in there - we never would have.

This customer was very satisfied when project was complete. Nick the crew leader did a complete walk around to make sure it was to customer's satisfaction. The customer was so happy that she called back for more quotes on siding work months later. After we could not preform the work she wanted us to do because of tying old siding into new. That is when she became unhappy. Months after that the metal at the top of her chimney started to leak. The owner personally went out and seen what was going on and referred her to someone that could fix her problem that had nothing to do with the roof we put on. It was the fireplace sheet metal at top of chimney. That is why she had to pay someone to fix it. It was a separate issue. Not roofing. We stand behind our products if it is our fault. Unfortunately we can only service the products we install.

I have had problems with the cap and descending rows of bricks on my chimney for about 10 years. Mortar and bricks near the top were visibly loose. I've had it repaired twice before, most recently 3 years ago. This Spring pieces of mortar and brick from the cap and rows below it, as well as from the shoulder, began to fall off the chimney. Not wanting to get yet another lousy job, I contacted several companies rated by Angie's List and another rating service used by a friend, and got 6 estimates, ranging in price from $600 to $1920, along with multiple descriptions of how the repair work would be done. I also reviewed the companies on the Better Business Bureau website. The Tittle Brothers estimate was the second highest. Greg Tittle arrived for the estimate as scheduled, answered all my questions about why the problem recurred and explained the repair process thoroughly, not rushing me to make a decision or sign a contract. I was very frank with him and asked about the processes that some of the other companies had described. He did not badmouth the other companies, but just explained why he would do the repair work in the way he proposed. He made no attempt to "pad" the job in any way, or to add any miscellaneous work. He showed me his insurance documents when I asked. His office provided the referrals I requested, which I called. He called me back when I called with a question. He did not ask for a down payment when we signed the contract, which detailed the work to be done, step by step, along with a 5 year workmanship warranty. He also told me that he would not rush his workers to do the work once they came on the job, and was clearly very proud when he said that no worker had ever been seriously injured while working for his company. He pulled the permit days before the job was to begin, which was included in the cost of the job. His workers came as scheduled, were careful around my flowers, seemed to take care not to damage my roof with the bricks and mortar they were removing, and completed the work on schedule. They cleaned up after themselves well. As I had told Greg, I was not able to be at home to pay him when the work was completed, and he said he would be out of town for a week thereafter. I did not pay him until 10 days after the work was completed, when someone from his office came to pick up the check at a time convenient for me. When I told Greg that, based on my prior experience, I was concerned that he honor his company's warranty if something happened several years down the road, he told me that this had originally been his father's business, he had been working in it for nearly 20 years, and that the business succeeded through referrals. Based on the research I did, I believe that Tittle Brothers did an excellent job. It appears much more complete and well done than prior work. There were no surprises. My neighbor, who is a carpenter involved in home and commercial construction, complimented the finished work, too.
Description of Work: Tore down 8 rows of brick on my chimney, cleaned up that brick to reuse, replaced the flue liner, installed a new limestone cap with a cement wash collar, removed and reset the chimney shoulder, tuckpointed several bricks farther down the chimney and under an adjoining side window, acid washed all new brick work, cleaned up and hauled away the debris.
