Please see Services Performed for complete explanation. Overall very bad experience.
Description of Work: Mr. B's did basement waterproofing work on my house for the previous owner in 1991. The work came with a 20 year warranty. The warranty is still in effect. Mr. B's was purchased by Tony - the present owner in 2001 (according to Tony). I contacted Tony, owner of Mr. B's, on 9/27/11 regarding a water leakage problem. I found him at his place of business, his house. He reviewed my paperwork and agreed to come and take a look at our basement. He did not dispute the validity of the warranty at any time. When asked if he had a business card he said "No, my wife knows where they are." Seriously, you run your own business out of your house and you don't know where your business cards are?. He repeatedly asked me how I found his house. His home address is the business address listed for him on the internet. Tony canceled our first appointment at the last minute, he has had his wife do all phone communications with us. When he did come to our home, he arrived in muddy clothing and mud caked boots. He walked through our house, without offering to remove his boots, leaving a trail of dirt behind him. Tony was defensive and condescending in his responses to our questions. He was down right rude toward us. When I showed him the black mold growing on my wall, he said " Oh your one of those that has been on the internet." in a sarcastic tone. What does the internet have to do with black mold on my basement wall? Black mold is dangerous and should not be growing on any walls inside of any home. He continued to deflect responsibility for any of the water leakage problems by giving other reasons for them. Not one time did he say that any of the water leakage was possibly due to a breakdown in workmanship. When I mentioned that I was going to verify that a permit was obtained for the job, he throw his head backwards and groaned. He mentioned me "suing" over the original work that was done, but that I would have to sue the original business owner, "Oh, but you can't sue him because he isn't in business anymore and you can't sue me because I didn't do the original work." I was not even thinking about suing, rather I was wanting to know if the appropriate city inspections had been done to ensure that the work was done according to code. Tony brought up the issue of " suing" not my husband or I. Tony finally told us that the water leakage problem was coming from the cider block foundation above ground. He told us to caulk the seams and our water problems would be solved. If we did what he said and still had water leakage, he would come back out FOR A FEE and dig up an area to see what else could be the problem. I have a warranty. My husband and I wanted an evaluation of the situation, an explanation of what needed to be done and what Mr. B's would do under the terms of the warranty to resolve the water problem. What we got was rudeness, denial of any responsibility, and a trial of dirt on our floors. His dirty boots exemplify our experience with him, disrespect toward the customer, left us to do the clean up of the dirty work and he still didn't have any business cards to boot. I would not let Tony from Mr. B's do any work on either of my homes at any price. I have found evidence of dissatisfied customers, regarding workmanship and customer service, on other review sites Beware.

THEY WERE THERE WHEN I NEEDED THEM IN AN EMERGENCY. I HAD TO HAVE THIS WORK DONE PRIOR TO MOVING IN. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. MY BASEMENT HAS NOT LEAKED SINCE.
Description of Work: THEY WATERPROOFED MY BASEMENT.
