This contractor does flooring for apartments my husband manages. We hired the company to put in new vinyl in our downstairs bath. The person who laid the vinyl, named Billy, put it in crooked, and left big gaps in the molding we'd paid them to install. There was a 6" bubble by the shower where no glue had been laid (you could press your toe down and watch the floor pop back up). The salesman came out and took pictures, and the following day, a different installer, named Jim, came over and said, "I'm from SCI and I'm here to fix it." I was impressed with his handling of it. Rob, the installer manager, also checked on us and, although I wasn't home, the president, Jim Robinston, stopped by, too. The fix was fine - it was the initial job that was ghastly. When Billy had first torn up the floor, we'd discovered dry rot underneath, so we had a different contractor put in a brand new sub floor. When Billy did the installation, he was working on a perfectly level, brand new sub floor. I would be hesitant to use SCI again.
Description of Work: New vinyl flooring in full bath on first level.
