Great job, fair price

Great. The price was good, the crew and crew chief did a fine job, Arnie was great to work with, and I have been completely satisfied in the past 4 years. The job was competed in one day. After the crew left, I noticed that one of my shrubs had been damaged and I had no problems getting a refund of the replacement cost. The crew noticed one of my basement windows was broken. Arnie told me about it and blamed it on his workers, but I said it was probably the boys next door who play ball on the adjoining driveway. (My only negative was that I'd had some problems with the gutters - which probably dated back to the home builder who (unknown to me) had installed them wrong. It would have been helpful if the roofers had mentioned this so I could have had the construction problem corrected at that time.) (Since the job was done almost 4 years ago, I don't recall how much I paid.)

I got them off of Angie's List. They took all of the old shingles off. They added a vent. They were very professional. When they left, you couldn't even tell they had been there. The price was good. They explained why more ventilation was needed. I already knew that, but I was glad that they went over it with me. I am very happy with the quality. They were on time for everything. They also called before hand to let you know they were on their way.

They completely removed all the old shingles and replaced it. They added 10 vents, because my house wasn't vented properly. They were very professional. When they left you couldn't even tell they had been here. I would highly recommend them. There price was the best of all the prices I got. They explained why more ventilation was needed. I would recommend them. I would use this provider again. I am very happy with it.

Contract called for installation of 20 roof vents, but only 19 were installed. I pointed out to the owner that there were only 19 vents and that at least one installed vent was partially obstructed and would not have good air flow, American Standard did not look at nor correct these issues. I was very disappointed that they did not complete the job properly. A minor issue was that the job was supposed to be completed by the end of November, but because of weather problems it was completed the first week of December. Other than not correcting the problem with the vents, the job was done well for the price agreed upon.

They did a good job. I am happy with their services.

All around, what a great experience. Arnie, the owner of American Standard Roofing, responded within an hour after I left a message requesting an estimate. We agreed on a date and time to have one of his supervisors (Mike Roth) come out and give us an estimate to complete the job. He showed up right on time, was courteous and answered all of our questions. The estimate Mike gave us was right in line with the two other quotes we received, but the overall presentation and supporting material was much more professional than the other two contractors that provided estimates. Mike and Arnie returned a few days later after we selected them to complete the job. Arnie offered to complete a small side project (removing a downspout that was draining badly back towards the house and to re-slope the surrounding gutters to the remaining downspouts) at no additional charge. We settled on a date for the work to commence which we missed by one day due to bad weather. The material to complete the job and work crew showed up right on time (7:30 AM). They completed the job and all the ancillary work like true professionals. Everything Arnie and Mike committed to us would happen, did happen. The work was done in one day and all remnants of the job were promptly and thoroughly cleaned up. One gutter was left a little leaky, which they came out the next business day to fix. We think the new roof looks great and would definitely recommend American Standard Roofing.

We had to have emergency repairs done on a roof that was leaking into family room. In a short time, the leak had ruined the drywall as well as the hardwood flooring. It was late February. We needed to move quickly, and we felt vulnerable. We consulted Angie's List, and saw that this roofer had excellent grades. We called American Standard Roofing. They came right out for an inspection. They took photos. The next day, the owner came out with an estimate, and he explained everything to me. I was impressed with his professionalism, and I did not feel that he was trying to sell me something I did not need. He promised a certain start date -- weather premitting -- and stuck to it. He did the entire job, including painting, in one day. His clean-up was thorough. The roof looks great. Bottom line: This company promised a lot, and it followed through completely. I would highly recommend American Standard Roofing. The price was a tad high, but I believe you ought to get what you pay for. A roof is not something to pinch pennies on, since it can cause a lot of damage over time. Plus, the transferrable 30-year warranty is a strong selling point, Still, I wish it were a bit less pricey. That is the only reason for the "B" rating; many would rate his price an "A".

Their management and workers were knowledgeable and professional. They sent a large crew to accomplish this job quickly - something we greatly appreciated with winter coming. Our new roof is beautiful. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Arnie and his company did a spectacular job. We were delayed a day on the start by rain, but they completed the job (3000 sq. ft. house and 1200 sq. ft. attached garage) in a day and half. They arrived on time and worked until dark. Roofing is a messy job but they kept it clean and when they were finished everything was spotless. The job they did was very high quality and well worth the investment.

I was happy with the service. They did a good job. They were timely and they did what they said they were gong to do. I don't have any complaints.

They came when they said they would and put a roof on both my house and garage in a day.. Everything was cleaned up to a very high standard. The two new skylights left a 2-3" gap on the inside because they were a different fit than the old skylights. Though it wasn't in the contract, they made sure to send someone right out to fill the gap with pre-painted wood. I think American Standard Roofing is an excellent company and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called about 7 roofing companies and American Standard was among the first 3 to return my call. Arnie Goodman and a member of his staff came out to my house, looked everything over and gave me their estimate. They described everything they would do to replace my roof in clear detail and were careful to emphasize the quality of work they were offering and the integrity of their company. They also were willing to try to make some repairs to the cupola and wind vane on my garage. Unlike the other estimates I was receiving Arnie did not place a time limit upon my acceptance other that to say "within a reasonable time". The other roofers were adamant that materials prices were about to go up at the end of the month and their estimates would not be valid after that. The shorter timeline just did not work for me and their pricing was the second lowest of the 5 to 7 estimates I ended up with. The shingles were delivered and the date set, but the actual work had to be delayed by a day because it was just too hot for the workers. They had to start the day by finishing up on someone else's roof and were on mine by early afternoon and were still finished by nightfall. Now my roof looks beautiful and I have complete confidence in the workmanship lasting for 30 years. I really like and respect this company and would use them again.

Went very well from quote to finish. Quote was prompt and they listened to what I wanted done. Made some suggestions and were easy to work with. No high pressure sales effort. Felt confident they knew what they were talking about and would do a good job. Scared me to death when shingles were delivered and stacked on the roof. Hard to imagine roof can support that much weight. But it can. Started installation by covering all bushes etc. to protect them and catch most of debris. Tore off old roof in an unbelievable short time (but neatly) and reroofed in likewise unbelievable short time. Approximately 2 1/2 days start to finish. My particular crew was a hard working crew of about 5. Took few short breaks and worked hard and long. One man continuously cleaned up any debris to keep final cleanup to a minimum. Very thorough final cleanup. Roof looks great. Almost two years later and no problems. They pulled all required permits and roof passed Building Department final inspection with flying colors. Overall significantly less money than other competitive bids...and a great job too!

They were really knowledgeable. They came out and spent fair amount of time with us. We are going to consider them to do this work for us out three companies that we used for estimate. Their price was not the lowest bid, but it was a decent price. We may use them again in the future too.

Owner and his supervisor went over the roof and showed me what was required. He was the third firm we had quote. He was the only who gave us a fixed price. All others had plus ( + ) after every item. They worked from 7 Am to 7 Pm and cleaned up Everting . Great people

Great job from start to finish...the proof is that we no longer have a leak where an newer addition was added. Also, brought vents up to code which resulted in house being warmer this winter. Good communication and follow through. Honest and fair dealings. Great company: from owner to office staff and installers! Absolutely would recommend this company.

His quote was the lowest and was quick to point out the issues with the present roof and what he would do to correct them. He really knew his stuff.

They were very nice, the price was right, and I am very pleased. The owner was very responsive though and came over whenever I needed him to. They were also the most reasonable compared to the other companies I had out for estimates.

I have absolutely no complaints about American Standard roofing. They showed up early for their scheduled estimate appointment, climbed a ladder, and did an exam of the whole roof before sitting down to discuss procedures and pricing. Their pricing was more than fair. My mother is a senior citizen, and they gave her a senior citizen discount. They had plenty of options of colors for the shingles, and recommendations for which would look good with the color of brick on the house. They also supply plenty of references - without being asked. They said the work would be completed in one day, and I was skeptical. One day is all it took. They cleaned up everything before they left, you would never know they were there. Except for the nice, new roof on the house.

From the start - we were given their best price - period. Others gave us estimates then followed up with counter offers, etc. We had a short window of time to get this job done and appreciated this time save of getting their best price upfront immensely. As for the the service - we were explained in detail, what would take place and how the work would be done. When the day of the job arrived, the crew arrived on time, and completed the task in one day. Not only did they live up to the expectations of the actual roof - they carefully walked around our home afterwards and did a careful clean up, even though there was quite a bit of snow on the ground. The best part is that when the snow melts - they have promised to come back and double checked their clean up - removing any debris they missed on the first go round due to the snow. We are very pleased with our decision to use this company.

Work was done professional manner from initial contact to end with final inspection.

I THINK THAT THEIR WORK LOOKS GOOD AND HAS HELD UP VERY WELL. I HAD ONLY ONE COMPLAINT AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT KEEPING ME A HAPPY CUSTOMER. WHEN THEY DID MY FRONT THEY BROKE ALL MY FLOWER POTS. THE VERY NEXT DAY THEY WROTE ME OUT A CHECK.

THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB PUTTING ON THE NEW ROOF. THEY WEREN'T LATE GETTING THERE AND FINISHED THE JOB IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, LEAVING NO MESS BEHIND . THEY ARE A GREAT, HARD WORKING COMPANY.
