Being that I live 700 miles away from my former home that I now rent, I needed a fast and reliable option for this expensive home upgrade. After looking at Angie's list for about 90 sec, I settled on American Standard Roofing, LLC based on the number of positive reviews given by other satisfied customers.
American Standard Roofing understood that they needed to inspect and estimate my roof prior to engaging in any form of contractual obligation with me. They set up a date quickly, inspected and estimated, and got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. They hit my price point with no-nonsense up-front estimating and pricing.
Included in their estimate provided was an allotment for around 224 sq. ft. of plywood that may or may not have to be replaced due to age, rot, termites, etc. This one particular attribute is a pain point for many customers of OTHER roofing companies as this "revelation" takes place during the actual work and leads to an upcharge being applied to an already agreed upon amount. Not with this company. That allotment provided me comfort in the fact that I would not have to deal with "surprises" during the job.
Now about the day of the job. The crew arrived around 8am-830am. They were DONE by 230pm. Yes, my house is small - however, to set-up, rip, replace, and clean-up in under 8 hours was amazing. No litter was left on my property as I was there to inspect the work directly after the crew left. Add to this the fact that the company sent a person around to my property with a metal detector to search for nails, staples, etc. - what more can be said? AWESOME.
Customer service was 5 stars. Interaction with the entire company was 5 stars. The warranty on the work is 5 stars. After a 700 mile drive to Detroit to engage in this transaction, the 700 mile return trip was made much nicer due to the fact that I have one less thing to worry about with my rental home.
Great work! I will be recommending this company to EVERYONE who needs an affordable roof replaced quickly and effectively.

They did need to come back to re-caulk around our bay window, where the shingles meet the siding. They decided to re-shingle AND re-caulk the bay window. Very thorough. Owner would not except a deposit or partial payment from me until all work was complete!
I was very impressed!
The workers were eastern European, spoke little English, but very professional. Except for the re-caulking of the bay window, they did all this on ONE day!
