They did a great job in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of the materials and workmanship were excellent. I would definitely use this company again.

The sales and quoting process was very easy and complete -- all my questions were answered without hesitation. I called with several follow-up questions and my calls were handeled quickly and professionally and my new questions were also answered without hesitation. Finally, the owner, Arnie, came to our house and dropped off some sample shingles in the colors we were considering. Arnie answered some very detailed questions we had about the contract -- again without hesitating. Because of the professionalism of everyone we dealt with, we felt very comfortable signing the purchase agreement. The actual installation was completed in two days by a crew that was very quiet, polite, and detail oriented -- doing a very good job cleaning up our property when they were done. We would use American Standard again.

First off, I do not know much about roofing, so take my description and opinions with a grain of salt and realize the terminology and whatnot I use may not be correct. Overall I was very pleased with the work that was done. The quote was for around 3700 but I paid around 5400.If you read this though, the higher price was justified. First off, I looked at the quote and then spent a some time with intensive research on shingles and upgraded the shingles for 700 more than the quote. I found that the owens corning singles I got seemed to have the least issues after googling all shingles on the market. They gladly accommodated this upgrade with no argument and a fair price. Many people have many opinions on shingles so this was just my opinion after reading about peoples experiences, consumer report, etc. I thought if I am spending so much, why not spend more to get a better shingle. So expecting 4400, on the day of the new roof. Crew of workers showed up nice and early, which I appreciated, as I knew they where going to have a hard days work ahead of them. There was a good snow storm previous and there was maybe a foot of snow on the roof or so. This did not stop them, the shoveled it all off, which was awesome. They then inspected the roof underneath. The wood was from 1928 and they needed to replace it all for an extra grand. They left much of the beams, but replaced the bad ones and put all new press board (particle board?) (not sure but it looked good) and got rid of a ton of cedar shake. The pieces that piled in the dumpster they brought showed brittle old cedar wood and pressboard that needed replaced for sure. I was more than happy to spend the 1000 extra, knowing I would not have problems for a long time. They put protection over all the wood they put up and replaced many rotten beams, but left many up there. They were all very hard working and respectful of me and my property. The amount of wood and shingles they took off was mind boggling. They then put up some wonderful owens corning black onyx shingles all lining up looking good. I do not know much about roofing, but I thought that the true test of the honesty of the company would be the shingles that showed up. I suppose a dishonest company might try and bait and switch the shingle or something. Sure enough they were the pink packaged owens cornings They are a truly honest company indeed. They worked hard from dawn to dusk, breaking for lunch. They made sure that we had the cars out the garage, so we did not get stranded. They also watched for when we walked out the house several times and called the workers to halt while we safely walked down the front stairs. I conversed with one of the workers for a small amount of time and he was really friendly. All the workers where very good and considerate and did a great job. Spending this amount of money on a roof, after all was said and done, I would have not done it any other way. The price for the work was better than other bids. The quality was very good. My only issue out of all this was there where maybe 40 nails in the driveway and some shingles I needed to clean up. This was understandable though as there was snow on the ground and I did not search for them until the snow melted the next day. A+ and kudos to a job well done. I will recommend your services to others when they tell me they need roof work done. In addition to all this, they were able to tarp my roof where a squirrel burrowed a hole through the roof and through my inside ceiling which would have been a disaster had it rained without the tarp while I waited for the roof to be put on. This was done free of charge. I guess if I have any issues such as shingle loss, leaks, etc I will update this review, but I do not think I will need to update it for at least 30 years. Roofing material was delivered at 7:30 a.m. Installers came by 8:30 a.m. Completed by about 6:30 p.m. One of the installers dropped a package of shingles on the roof that was above my living room. This caused a 10 foot long crack on the ceiling. When the supervisor came the next morning I showed him the damage and without hesitation he took photos and said not to worry the problem will be taken care of. Within two days drywall repairmen came. They removed the old drywall and replaced it. As we know, this type of work leaves a lot of drywall "dust" everywhere even 'tho everything was covered. A week after the repair of the ceiling, American Standard sent a cleanup crew. They arrived at 9:00 a.m. and by 6:00 p.m. my living room was spotless. They not only put 2 coats of paint on the ceiling but did a magnificent job of washing the hallway and my oak stairs as well as the dining room wooden floor. Everything was washed and polished. They put back all the furniture and my living room was like brand new. I would recommend American Roofing to everyone who is looking for a Roofer .They not only did a great job for which they were contracted for but went beyond this to make certain their customer was completely satisfied. They were very fair in the pricing. Even matched a slightly lower quote I had gotten. They were fast and cleaned everything up. Will use them again in a few years when the roof on the house needs to be replaced.

Very competitive pricing. Did not try to sell me things I don't need. Crew showed up at exactly 8:00 AM and Left at 6:15 PM with the job complete. Supervisor visited the job site to make sure everything was going right and again when it was done to make sure we were happy. All and all a well done job.

It ended with multiple returns to repair poor workmanship. While the owner, Arnie, has always been professional and polite, the work still is not complete two months after the initial service date. On the scheduled service date, the crew arrived on time. They were able to remove the old shingles and put on the new roof all in one day. Initially, we thought that it was a great thing that they were able to complete the job so quickly. However, we began to find issues over the days following the initial install. Issues included nails through overhangs, scuff marks on the siding, gaps/unsealed flashing, sloppy caulk work, installing drip edge/flashing in a color that was not agreed upon, broken concrete on our driveway, as well damaged downspout and a poorly repaired soffit. Removing the old shingles also left damaged siding in the areas where the shingles intersected. Again, Arnie has always been professional when I've spoken with him about the issues. The original crew returned to replace/cover up the drip edge in an agreed upon color. A repair person has come out several times to attempt to fix some of the other issues. However, the repair person he has sent seems less than capable of completing quality work, resulting in unfinished or incomplete fixes. The broken concrete has a sloppy patch. For $10K on this size house I expected better work. I'm afraid I might be dealing with this for some time and will likely cost more money to finish.

Being that I live 700 miles away from my former home that I now rent, I needed a fast and reliable option for this expensive home upgrade. After looking at Angie's list for about 90 sec, I settled on American Standard Roofing, LLC based on the number of positive reviews given by other satisfied customers. American Standard Roofing understood that they needed to inspect and estimate my roof prior to engaging in any form of contractual obligation with me. They set up a date quickly, inspected and estimated, and got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. They hit my price point with no-nonsense up-front estimating and pricing. Included in their estimate provided was an allotment for around 224 sq. ft. of plywood that may or may not have to be replaced due to age, rot, termites, etc. This one particular attribute is a pain point for many customers of OTHER roofing companies as this "revelation" takes place during the actual work and leads to an upcharge being applied to an already agreed upon amount. Not with this company. That allotment provided me comfort in the fact that I would not have to deal with "surprises" during the job. Now about the day of the job. The crew arrived around 8am-830am. They were DONE by 230pm. Yes, my house is small - however, to set-up, rip, replace, and clean-up in under 8 hours was amazing. No litter was left on my property as I was there to inspect the work directly after the crew left. Add to this the fact that the company sent a person around to my property with a metal detector to search for nails, staples, etc. - what more can be said? AWESOME. Customer service was 5 stars. Interaction with the entire company was 5 stars. The warranty on the work is 5 stars. After a 700 mile drive to Detroit to engage in this transaction, the 700 mile return trip was made much nicer due to the fact that I have one less thing to worry about with my rental home. Great work! I will be recommending this company to EVERYONE who needs an affordable roof replaced quickly and effectively.

I am a second time customer. They put a new roof on my house a few summers ago and I was so pleased that I used them again to put a new roof on my mom's house. They did a great job and are the best to deal with. Not one nail was left on the ground, they did a thorough clean up.

They started and completed the project in one day.

There's a reason this company scores so high. They are professional, prompt and no one came close to their price. I have a tiny house so I was surprised at some of the other quotes. Their final bill was actually less then the quote. I'm wondering how many other companies would've been that honest and just charged the full amount? I couldn't be happier with the roof and gutters, they look great. The roof guys were dealing with over 90 degree temps and then the next day the gutter guys were dealing with a downpour. No complaints only smiles and were just courteous. One gutter was re-directed and I wondered why it wasn't done like this initially. No more corner mold in the basement! Arnie and Paul came by a few times for inspection and payment and were really cool guys. My only minor gripe is I wish I would've known to cover everything in the attic since there is shingle debris over everything (guessing from the old shingles) but nothing that a vacuum wont take care of - just wanted to note that for other customers. All in all I highly recommend this company. I thought getting a new roof was going to be a hassle but it was anything but. Thanks guys!

Arnie Goodman was understanding and fair knowing that I had already placed a roof on my home that should have lasted 20 years. He worked with me to develop a plan that would solve the issues I was having with the poor roof placement as well as ice dams. The job was done in timely manner. The work was done on one of the hottest days of the summer, and the crew worked right through it! Kudos to the crew! Clean-up was done and nothing was left behind. Thank you so much!

They came in and gave me the best price of three people i interviewed. His crew were professional and got the work done in a day and cleaned up spectacularly. They are as advertised, one day job, everything shows up on the day of the job, good clean up no added costs at the end of the job. They went into the neighbors yard with the magnetic roller to make sure there were no nails. I would recommend this company to anyone.

It was a good job. I did not have any problems with them. They cleaned up about 98%. I did find a few nails. Any concerns I had since then, they have sent someone out right away. They have good follow up.

They did need to come back to re-caulk around our bay window, where the shingles meet the siding. They decided to re-shingle AND re-caulk the bay window. Very thorough. Owner would not except a deposit or partial payment from me until all work was complete! I was very impressed! The workers were eastern European, spoke little English, but very professional. Except for the re-caulking of the bay window, they did all this on ONE day!

I had three estimates, they gave me the best price, the best warranty, and were much more knowledgeable than the others. This was a complete tear off. They showed up on time and as I watched they did a great job, did not miss a single rotten board. I will use them again to do future properties.

We had a very good experience with American Standard Roofing. Arnie, the owner, came by the house and reviewed the contract with us. He answered all of our questions and was very kind, personable, knowledgeable and professional. The roofing crew arrived on time and worked extremely hard all day long. The quality of the work was excellent, except for one area over the bay window where the trim and caulking were a bit sloppy. That was the last thing the crew did at the end of the day and I think it was because they were very tired and it was getting dark. We brought this to Arnie's attention and he immediately made arrangements to have the trim and caulking fixed. Clean up was excellent by the crew. Anytime we called the office to ask questions, the receptionist was always pleasant and made sure our questions were addressed and that our calls were handled promptly. The city inspector remarked how nice our metal valleys looked on the house and what a nice job they did with the roofing. I would highly recommend American Standard Roofing for their quality of work and professionalism.

This was my first time replacing a roof, so I was a bit cautious considering the high cost of roofs. I received quotes from 5 different companies, all with good Angie's List reviews. I was most impressed with Arnie, the owner of American Standard Roofing. He was extremely responsive to my questions and concerns and was not high pressured. In fact, he was quite laid- back. While his quote was not the lowest, he did match it. Something of importance to me was the workmanship warranty. American Standard provides a 30 year warranty, while the other companies ranged from 10-15 years. The office staff provided me with addresses so that I can check out shingle colors, which was helpful in deciding what to order. It rained on the day I was scheduled, so they came the following day at 8 am sharp. The roof was completed in one day and gutters were installed the following day. Arnie stopped by to check on the progress twice each day. The clean up was thorough. My new CertainTeed Landmark roof looks great! I will be recommending American Standard Roofing to anyone who is in need of a new roof or gutters. I've done the research - just give Arnie a call now!

We found this company on Angie's list. The day after my call, Arnie (owner) arrived at my mother's at the appointed time to discuss details of the job and the contract. His estimate included Angie's list and senior citizen discounts, as we requested, and 30-year architectural shingles at no extra cost. On the date the work was scheduled to be done, Arnie phoned early to say that, because rain was threatening, the work would be done on our pre-arranged "rain date," weather permitting. On that date, a small crew arrived early. Using a truck-mounted, crane-like maneuverable arm with a conveyor on it, the new shingles were sent up to the roof. Additional workers arrived and worked on the job most of the day. As the work was nearing completion, Arnie came by to check on it and ask for payment. The final bill was exactly the same as the estimate, although the job actually required the replacement of more bad wood than provided for in the estimate; Arnie said the additional wood was his gift to my mother. As the job had not yet been totally completed, Arnie said our payment check would not be cashed for several days, in case we had any concerns with the work, and to call him if we did. We didn't need to call. I'm not that knowledgeable about roofing, so I can't say absolutely uniquivocally that everything called for in the contract was performed exactly as it was supposed to have been, but I'm certainly not aware of any discrepancies, and my mother has not noticed any roof-related problems or issues in the several weeks since the work was performed. As for the clean up and haul away of debris, our thorough search of the area surrounding the house turned up only one single nail that the crew missed. The warranty information arrived as promised. The entire process went smoothly from start to finish. I was very pleased by the performance of American Standard Roofing and would recommend this company to others in their service area.

They started on the roof on Friday and finished Friday. Everything went well except we got the wrong shingle. It was the same color but we asked for the Landmark Pro and got the Landmark. Arnie apologized and took off the price of the Pro. The siding guys had it finished in two weeks. A lot of rain. It looks great. These were very hard working guys that took pride in what they do. I would recommend this company to anybody. Thank You very much Arnie and crew.

American Standard Roofing did a large roof at a steep pitch in one day. The roof work great, the sky light looks great and does not leak, and the yard was left in good condition. With this quality roof I don't need to worry about a new roof for the foreseeable future, but if I did, I would absolutely use American Standard Roofing again.

This was an insurance replacement so bidders on the job kind of knew how much I could spend. Other companies bid a couple hundred over the insurance estimate. ASR gave me several options at or below the insurance estimate. I was able to get a great roof with nice extras for the amount insurance would pay. Nice people to deal with, quoting, scheduling and the work crew. The owner came to visit on install date and gave me his cell number should I have any questions. The hard working crew did the whole job in one day including clean up. I watch the ice and water shield, valleys and flashing and all were done well. High end Certainteed shingles look great. Scheduled the job to fit my constraints, shingles arrived at 8:30 am, team arrived at 9:00 and were done by 7:00pm. Nice people to work with.
