Kept in contact with us , came to work on time, brought material with them, went right to work in very cold, windy weather, did a little extra and the finished price was very reasonable. Workers were pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend John McCarter Construction.

I hired McCarter Construction to repair and replace a large window wall in our house. The project included new siding, exterior and interior trim, and aluminum gutter replacement above window. I wanted a general contractor to do the whole project. McCarter did excellent work, and stuck to their schedules, including several follow-up phone calls through completion of the project. I have used McCarter before, and would use them for any exterior home improvements in the future. Definitely good people to work with!

Fixed a leaky roof. The spot it was leaking wasn't readily apparent but they took the time to troubleshoot inside and outside to pin it down. Quick response, professional and friendly.

Couldn't be happier with completion of a large siding job. The management and builders were very friendly to work with and the quality of the work was excellent. This is one the rare companies that has high integrity from top to bottom and actually delivers more than they promise. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

What a GREAT company. After quoting many contractors, we decided to hire John McCarter Construction to replace our damaged James Hardie boards, repair a roof leak and fix our gutter problems. Sean came out to our home and was very knowledgable. No sales pitch, just lots of years of experience. After a few days, he provided a very extensive quote breaking each project down with costs for both labor and materials. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call that they could start our job ahead of schedule. Wendell was the contractor who took care of our repairs and he was outstanding. Wendell's attention to detail exceeded our expectations. He was a pleasure to work with and as a designer, i'm super picky. John McCarter's team finished ahead of schedule and way below budget. I will definately use them again and have recommended them to my neighbors. Thank you so much for the great service!!!!!

They came out right away and fixed the leak in my roof. I knew my roof need to be replaced so I hired John McCarter to do the job. I am extremely happy with the results and the professionalism in getting the job done.

The situation was dealt with very professionally, from the initial response for assistance (including terms and conditions, leaving no 'grey' areas re. cost etc., ) to the roofing contractor arriving the same day to do the work, and solve our problem. Highly satisfactory experience.

They came out to help with the problem, which turned out to be a plugged downspout backing up and running over the roof. And the leak in the house was from a blocked vent pipe located in the farthest reaches of the roof in a tough to get at area. That didn't stop these guys. They dove right in and tracked down the problem(s). Plus, before this was apparent, they looked the roof over, deconstructed the suspect area, checked for leaks, put it all back together, then looked for the real culprit. That -- and their professionalism -- is why I hired John McCarter Construction to put on a new roof later this year.

I discovered a leak in my roof after a steady day and a half of rain. I called John in the early afternoon and he had someone out here the same day. The person could not find the location of the leak since it was nowhere near any pipes that come through your roof nor readily visible by pulling up shingles near the leak area. It now being late in the day, John scheduled his roof specialist to come out the following day. I had a doctor's appointment that morning at 10 a.m. and by the time I returned home, my roof was fixed. As nature would have it, we had a thunderstorm with plenty of rain that night and NO sign of new water on my ceiling. I am a very happy and satisfied customer. I have already called John for another job I would like his company to do. All the employees I have dealt with were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. In addition, John was VERY fair in his pricing for this job. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your construction needs. UPDATE! July 2016 Discovered during another rain the leak was not fixed. I called John and was told someone would contact me. This did not happen. Needless to say, after the first exceptional service, I was very disappointed, Decided at that point, since obviously they were not going to stand by their work, I contacted a different roof contractor, who I must say has been exceptional. This particular leak is not one easily fixed since it is not near a pipe but created by metal strips that were nailed into my roof and then removed without fixing the nail and staple holes . The new contractor came out; fixed it, but needed to return, and I must say PROMPTLY, and fixed it again. I am now waiting to see if the problem is finally fixed, but have NO doubt this new contractor will be right back if the problem has not been solved. I have learned a valuable lesson about giving a review before actually knowing how the job/repair will work out, not to mention future customer service. From this point on, I will wait to submit my reviews.

This was the 4th project they completed for us (siding repairs, window repairs, new front entry door).We had a leaking roof. Checked around but found ourselves returning to McCarter. McCarter work is always top notch at good price. Tradesmen (are McCarter's, not subcontracted) are polite, work is performed promptly and professionally. They get it done right the first time.

It took about a month for them to respond to questions that I had about the job they did. Disappointed in the slow response.

Showed up on time. Pleasant to work with. Was satisfied with their work.

James did the work and was professional, knowledgable and resourceful in solving several roofig-related issues.

John McCarter was very prompt, polite, professional and courteous when providing the quote for service. Brad, the Project Mgr, was very helpful throughout the process and the work crew was outstanding. They worked very diligently to get my project completed and kept me very well informed throughout their process. I would absolutely recommend this company for any proposals that you may be considering and I will definitely be working with them again to complete the rest of my home's siding. Very professional, timely and courteous

The repairman was vey friendly and efficient, explained what he did and why it happenned and a reasonable cost.

Request itemized pricing before payment - this should be true with ANY contractor who works on your home, but became an issue with this company. But, don't let it scare you - their knowledge and workmanship is terrific!
