I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Alan listened to suggestions and he is a skilled carpenter. Couldn't be happier.

I was referred to Almar Carpentry through a lumbar yeard in Novi. After the initial phone call to him to explain what I needed him to do, he followed up with a visit to our home. He assessed the work to be done and went over many options as we were unsure of what we could get done. We really wanted a glass railing system, and Alan came up with the great idea of the glass panels between the posts. Our first impression of Alan was that he was friendly, knowledgeable, and showed us his portfolio of previous work, and as a cabinet maker I knew his work would be clean and accurate. We shared a couple of common hobbies, and rather than shop around for another contracter/quote, we went with Alan, as we felt very comfortable with him. Let me state that our first impressions were right on. The job looks fantastic and Alan kept us appraised during the whole project. We felt so comfortable with Alan that he worked a number of days in our home while we were both at work. We are already having him provide his quote to do our kitchen backsplash, and feel great that we have discovered a fantastic contractor that we can rely on and know the job will be done professionally and timely.

Alan is a perfectionist - a true artist. His work product and ethics are impeccable. He is punctual, responsive, professional and produces an exceptional product. We highly recommend him.

Extremely happy with Alan and with his work. I had been having difficulty getting anyone to respond to inquiries, because it was such a small but of work, but Alan responded the next day, with no issues with the fact that it was a small job. A medical emergency in the family required that I reschedule 3 times - Alan was gracious throughout. The work was wonderful. I am very pleased. The shelves look GREAT. Alan also went above and beyond in terms of quality - he could have just installed the shelves as directed by manufacturer, but went the extra mile for quality. For example, screwing the shelves to each other to maintain alignment and give extra strength to the installation. Will definitiely work with Alan again.

He dropped off the pre primed wood for me the week before he was to start so I could put on one coat of paint before he put it up. He does one job at a time and finishes your job before he starts another. He was finishing up another job and called me to let me know he'd be there at 9 am on a Monday. He was here on time and worked until 4 30 on bath no. one. He worked on the masterbath and the vanity on Tuesday. He came back to caulk on Wednesday morning. He also fixed my banister for me at no charge. He was done by 12:30 on Wednesday. It looks really nice and we are very pleased with his work. I had him do some other projects several years ago before Angies List was around to review. He had built a book case for me in a closet that I use as an office. He also put crown moulding in my husband's office.
