This company is amazing! I looked at many companies for my basement bathroom and kitchen install, Shelby mechanical was was very fair priced comparatively. However the customer service was absolutely amazing and that’s what led me to choose them. From the initial quote, to the install everything went so smooth. The actual plumbers who came out to do the job Josh and his partner were great. They were on time, polite, and answered all my questions and there were a lot of them. They got the job finished in the time I was told and cleaned up very nicely after. I would recommend this company over and over again!

I had this company come out on a recommendation. My sewer line was backed up. They came out and used their Hydrojet and put in a cleanout. They said I was good to go. Yay! Unfortunately, I had a backup 5 months later in my newly remodeled bathroom. They came out (as it was under warranty) and cleaned it out again. They then told me I would need even more work done, starting with digging a trench in my backyard for $3k. Nothing was said about any of this when the original work was done. Do not use his company unless you have money to burn. Over a year after they did work for me, I have the same issues. So very, very disappointed.

Conner was the service tech who came out. He was all you want in a service tech: courteous, experienced, knowledgeable, clean and neat, insisted he get his shoe covers from his truck even though his shoes were spotless, and took time to explain repairs to us. He repaired a problem leak in the basement ceiling for water line to humidifier and had a very challenging faucet repair. Good guy. Marcus replaced kitchen faucet and shower heads. He was prompt, courteous and did a nice job. We would not hesitate to call Shelby Mechanical again.

Overall the installation process was good. One major error the technician did. After installation he ignited the gas without filling water in the tank. We heard some cracking noise and he rushed to shut down the gas. Hard to see what damage happened inside. I assume the glass liner inside the tank probably cracked and it would impact the product life beyond warranty. I expected the technician to tell me the mistake and ensure me there is no problem due to the error but he did not. Other item was they damaged dry wall while moving the old heater outside from basement. I am not worried about the drywall fixing but worried about the possible internal liner cracking.

I can't really give a 5 rating for the value for the money as I am not current on the pricing for this type of service. All in all, though I do not feel that I was overcharged for service rendered. We had a gas leak in our line that the elbow which supplied gas to our stove. When making the call to the office to make an appointment, the person who answered the phone was quite helpful in letting me know that they did provide the type of service that I needed. We were given an appointment with a window of between 8 am and 11 am plus we were told we would be informed via text message when the technician would arrive. The service technician did indeed notify when he would arrive and arrived within the window allotted. Once he entered our property, he assessed the situation and then provided us with a price. We had the option to continue looking for someone or allow the service to proceed. This was something that we appreciated, many service providers get the go-ahead from the homeowner, and when the service is complete they provide you with a jaw-dropping bill for services. We do understand that labor is something that is costly, but, on the other side of the coin, companies like SHELBY MECHANICAL, LLC has the right approach to the operation of their business. No one likes to be in sticker shock, due to lack of transparancy. Thank you for being the type of business that has professionalism across the board. Highly Recommend, while I hope I don't need services any time soon, I would hire them again in a heartbeat and will refer them to anyone that I hear needs their service that they provide.
