Had older home bath/shower plumbing replaced. Old plumbing very difficult to remove. Despite this and having to work overtime they stayed with original bid. Very professional and competitive.

First a little background. When our house was built in 2007 our contractor didn’t make sure the sewage line from our home lined up with the city sewage line. Our contractor told us the only way to resolve the error they made would be to install a sewage ejector pump. This accursed pump was connected to 3/4 of our home plumbing. So the pump failed. When the pump failed, our whole house shut down because the laundry room, kitchen, and bathroom are connected to it. Now my review. This company, the owner, and the guys who work there are top notch. I submitted my plumbing issue on Home Advisor and not only did this company contact me quickly, they were the only company to contact me. I talked directly to Ron Alexander, the owner, and due to the severity of our issue sent out his Master Plumber. Who immediately assessed our plumbing issue and with the help of his apprentice, resolved it by re-plumbing our entire basement to bypass the sewage ejector pump completely. What we were told couldn’t be done, they did, and the work they performed was excellent. I can’t even express how pleased my wife and I are. These guys are courteous, considerate, punctual, and very professional. They genuinely care about the work they do and made sure that my wife and I were more than satisfied before they packed up and left. Truly a top notch company.

Ron from Shelby Mechanical SAVE me from (Literally) taking the plunge. I was unsuccessfully trying to push the water down a little hole that had arose to almost ankle level. My sump pump had stopped working and even tho he had an interview for an intern he still came and fixed the problem. In less hen a 1/2 hr the water was gone and I was drying out rows of shoes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Very responsive, respectable, knowledgeable and most importantly RESONABLE price wise. THANK YOU SO MUCH RON 😃

Shelby Mechanical called me on a Monday and replaced my water heater on Tuesday.

In my guesstimation, I would probably say that the repair was at the high end in cost but once contact was made, there was only 1 day in between contact and the finished job. It was the type of job that needed a timely repair and I did not have much time to shop job cost. Even though I felt the cost was on the high end, I felt that getting the job done was more important to me than shopping this particular job. Job was completed within a couple of hours and the repairman was competent. Would recommend them over previous experience with plumbing companies.

Ron squeezed us in last minute on a Friday afternoon. They were very professional and we felt like we were in good hands. They finished in a timely manner and we even got compliments from our residents for their nice work.

The project was to replace the powder room drain system from the second story roof to the basement floor. Other contractors wanted close to $3000 for the work and would have tore up the wall in the second floor bedroom. Thanks to Ron's solution the work was completed for less than 1/4 the price and did not involve tearing up bedroom walls. Then the crew that Ron sent checked to insure that the new vanity I purchased would fit and the plumbing be accessible. Very professional team.

Tony showed up on time and got right to work. The end product was completed in a timely manner with the utmost professionalism. Tony is an asset to the company that should be rewarded whenever possible. I wish all business dealings were completed as promised as well as this project went.

Tony showed up right on time, got the work done quickly and beautifully. I thought the price was a bit high, but it was worth it to have my kitchen sink back in working order.

They were awesome! Very friendly, and did not make me feel like I was being pressured. Another company that came before them wanted to charge me over double for the same thing that they did.

Ron was easy to set up appointment with and the plumber that came to do the work (Dominic) was awesome and great at his job. I did not feel ripped off like some plumbing companies make you feel. I actually learned something from them. I told Dominic that they will be the only company I call for plumbing needs for now on.

They were out the same day to install.

It was a Saturday, Ron called me right back. I explained the problem and he even gave me some ideas to try to maybe save me a service call. Unfortunately, this did not work. I called him back and he sent someone out right away. Fixed the problem, thank you. The person they sent out was VERY nice and personable, no bum's rush and out the door. I would highly recommend this company, I will use in the future and tell friends and neighbors how great they were. Thank you Ron.

I recommend Shelby Mechanical and will use them again. I found Shelby Mechanical on Home Advisor. I spoke to a gentleman on the phone – instead of charging me for a visit, he talked me through what might have been the problem; he gave me advice on how to fix it myself. How thoughtful. Well, I never did it by myself so I called him back. He was ready to come the very next day. I had a leak in my kitchen sink and needed help swapping my washer/dryer around. The water hose for my washer was too short so the installers put in the washer and dryer backwards so the doors were not convenient. With HE washer, you cannot swap the door. The plumber was on time. Her put on booties to cover his shoes. He was very polite. The plumber fixed the kitchen sink. He then went to Menards and bought a long hose and moved the washer and dryer for me. What great service!!! I only am giving 4.5 stars, because I think he may have charged me for his full time for going to Menards – which I understand I need to pay for his time, but at the same time he should have already had the part because I explained over the phone what was needed before hand So perhaps I should have been charged maybe half- his hourly rate for his trip to Menards. But no matter, he did the job and did an outstanding job at it. I will still use Shelby Mechanical again.

Ron was great - he set everything up. Tony showed up right on time. He installed new shower and sink faucets. He even cleaned the tiles behind the old fixtures before installing the new ones. They look and work great. I've already recommended them to someone I know that needs work done.

They did a great job. 1. They arrived at their scheduled time, most contractors arrive late. 2. The crew put down clothes to avoid tracking dirt and water through our house. 3. They quoted the best price. 4. They actually answer their phone calls.

Taylor was friendly, did great work, and was respectful of the house and made sure he covered his shoes and cleaned up after installing the sump pump. He answered all our questions before he left. Would definitely hire again!
